Smiles and looks over at Flash and the Chief "Yeah, lets go. And THIS time, we work as a team."
Aisha rubbed the back of her neck as she slowly drew a pained look over her face.
The carnage was incredible. They were supposed to be heroes.
Stammering a little and looking shocked as the realisation hit her, she looked around the other, then at the surgeon.
"Someone needs to stay here... and watch him. And then explain to the police just what happened..."
Sighing softly, she covered her eyes and squeezed tightly to try and slow down the rapidly approaching headache.
"Go. They'll listen more to me. I'll do my best..."

If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do. Let's go to work.
The Chief walked over and rested a hand on the womans shoulder.
"The PPD will understand. They had friends and colleagues get slaughtered by these madmen. It's not perfect, I know. But sometimes that's the way thing's are. Against the likes of the Skulls, the Hellions...lost and rebellious minds that want to be accepted, there is hope of helping them. But when people believe that things like this are right, are a cause to fight for...there is little hope for them."
He glanced around at the group.
"Aye, as a team. We need someone who can lead, someone to keep it all together...votes, anyone?"
While he said it, the Chief glanced once more at Aisha. It was a suggestion, certainly. And that glance was as good as word when it came to who got his vote...

The sound of running and shouting echoing down the tunnels alerted the heroes that the police had arrived. A SWAT team secured and cordoned off the area, making sure it was safe for the team of medics that arrived a second later.
The medics got to work insuring that those who were alive stayed that way, and called in stretchers for the wounded, be they hostage or otherwise.
The last surgeon had his broken arm treated and his good arm cuffed to an officer who had a look on his face that said 'Come on, give me an excuse.'
The SWAT team leader walked over to the group of heroes as they were talking.
"I'm captain Sampson, the area is secured and the wounded will be taken care of. I... don't know what the hell went on here, but I'm going to want a report on this damn soon. It looks like this was a standard Vahzilok attack, so if you all wouldn't mind coming with me, we can get this straightened out."
Across the room a medic looks up from the hostage missing his eye, who now has a bandage over it, and shouts over to the heroes. "What the hell happened to this guy? He's not responding at all. It's like he's... I dunno. He isn't dead but..." the medic shines a small pocket torch in the hostages eye, hoping for a response. He puts it away after a few seconds, very troubled.
Amongst all the noise, two SWAT team members may be heard talking in low voices, something about "...they're supposed to be 'heroes', but this is just a mess."
Kid turned to the Captain Sampson and shook his head.
"I wish I could explain, I took the first survivor, from the squad car to hospital and by the time I got here, the attack had already begun. As it stands, all we know is that it was a large steel like robot that hired the Doctor and surgeons."
He looks over at the Swat Members "You mean you've NEVER had something go wrong. I seem to remember a certain hostage taking that you guys went in first, how many hostages survived that again?"
"I'm out of here before this 'robot' adds more to the kill [censored]. Who's coming?"
The Chief motioned for Kid to wait a moment, resting one hand on Aisha's shoulder.
"Captain, we came in here to try and rescue as many people as we could. Like any scenario, some thing's didn't work out according to plan. And, as has been said, these men weren't the root of the problem. If anything, the one we are after now is probably behind things like that," he added ,nodding at the PPD medic and the motionless man he had been tending to.
"Besides, someone needs to find out why some good officers died today. And I'd rather not see any more of them in the firing line, if it can be helped," he finished, meeting the Captain eye to optic.

Sighs "Ill scout ahead anyone got a cell or Comm plink I should know to report back too?" lightkeepr waits for the response of the otters the fades away after getting the phone number or Comm coding she fades away from view.
Flash looks about, "Well, plans fail, we saved as many as we could but some got hit, seriously, that's not the worst problem it's the leader guy like they said." nods at Cheif and HK

Sampson didn't look happy. He pondered for a moment, looking at the clean-up operation around him. The last thing he wanted was another version of this. The report could wait, whatever was behind this whole problem needed to be dealt with before it knew they were onto it. He sighed and looked to the group of heroes.
"Fine. Whatever is behind this needs to be taken care of, but I want you to keep me informed of what you find. Take this radio, we'll be listening in on the other end. If you have ANY trouble then call us for help. I'll have a team on standby outside waiting to help. Once you call us in though, it'll be my operation and I'll take it from there. The last thing I want is this" he gestured at the carnage around him "happening again."
He shook his head, wondering if he was making a mistake. He turned to Aisha and handed her the radio.
"You work with the PPD, so you'll be the one I trust. I counting on you all."
With that he turned away, making sure the clean up operation went smoothly.
Aisha's fingers gingerly closed around the radio. Her grip was weak.
Looking up slowly, it was clear she was holding back some tears. Tears for the people lost. People lost because of her and these heroes.
Fighting to compose herself, she cleared her throat and nodded, the grip around the radio tightening in steely determination not to let this happen again.
"Yes Sir."
Turning back to the assembled squad of 'vigilantes', she spoke softly.
"We go to the Chasm. We'll need to split up and sweep these warehouses fast, but that doesn't mean recklessly."
Stammering a little, she continued.
"People have died here. Because of us. This isn't going to happen again."

If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do. Let's go to work.
Kid could hear Aisha's words but had already left the room, the results of the attack were weighing heavily on Aisha.
Problem was, they were affecting him to, 'Why didn't I do anything. I should have tried. I could have...' he stopped and looked up at a swat member, he was watching him. The look in his eyes told him enough.
"I....I...."he looked down "I'm sorry, for all that in there."
He left the sewers and sat on an upturned garbage can, waiting for the others and thinking about who is responsible.
"Hmm the Council, nah no robots like the description, unless Vandal has been busy. A new clockwork king construct? Could Crey be building something new, the Revenant Hero Project not working for them? It cant be Freaks, not their MO, nor Malta. Nemesis, is crazy enough I suppose. Who else could have done this, the only people left are Arachnos and the Sky Raiders, Arachnos? Possible, not Raiders."
The Chief simply nodded, then stood beside Aisha, waiting for her to lead off. But, even as people began to spread out and head off, whereever their paths took them, he murmured quietly to himself;
"I won't let good people die for the sakes of madmen...nor let the innocent suffer for the sake of beauracracy. I have my duty..."

The heroes arrive at the warehouses the surgeon described. Three of them stand there in the dark, tall and foreboding, each one looking abandoned and not a sound can be heard. Next to the large rusted shutter doors on the front of each was a number. The warehouse on the far right was numbered '523'. The one next to it, in the middle read '329' and finally, the last warehouse called '565'. They were pretty much identical, other than the signs of age that could be seen all over them.
With no way to know what was inside each, they would need to search them to see if the Surgeon was telling the truth.
Kid sighs and mentally does eeny meeny miny mo.
"I'm taking that one, anyone coming?" there was a determination in his voice. He was one hero you would NOT want to be messing with.
He strode over to Building No.565 and stood watching the others.
The Chief peered at the bulks of the buildings, running his gaze over each door in turn.
"I think the Team Leader should be the one to decide," he said quietly, but somewhat firmly. "That way, things will be somewhat organised. Unlike last time," he added darkly, before looking around once more, gaze resting on Aisha for just a moment.

Aisha stepped forward in the gloom, quickly tightening her sash enough to keep her focused.
She span slowly on her heels and addressed the group with her eyes. Eyes filled with determination and confidence. The Chief's words had somehow helped.
Nodding once at the Chief and the Kid, she smiled softly. "Go to that one then. If you find anything, at all, report back before doing anything. If we do it, we do it as a team."
Looking over to Flash, she smiled. Hoping the Chief could keep Kid in check, she spoke quietly. "You and me will take the middle one... 523."
Angling her head once more so she was adressing the entire group, she raised her voice and authorative tone.
"If we don't find anything, we meet up outside the last one. And we go in as a team. We keep in contact and if anyone finds anything, they report back over any radio channel they can. Understood?"

Peeking her head out of warehouse 329 light keeper soflt speak out in low voice so only the near by heroes could here "Ill keep checking this one then " smiles under her mask and vanish again.
Nodding Flash headed towards her designated Warehouse, leaning against the wall beside the door and looking tense...

The Cheif bowed his head to Aisha and, just for a moment, one optic seemed to dim slightly, almost like a wink.
Then he spun and headed after the Kid, leaning against the wall beside the door. He motioned for the young man to wait, then seemed to lose form and shape, until Omega had fully taken over, the Chief's body melting into a cloud of pure, near invisible negative energy.
Seeping through the door via the lock, hinges and such, the lock, or handle, it was somewhat hard to tell in such a shape, clicked open and the door eased open silently. The Chief, body reforming, edged it open and beckoned the KId inside.
"Standard comms, channel 551," he said, just loud enough for the others to hear, and pointing at the aural relay where his ears would have been if he was human.

(Wont be of a bit so my char is in your hands empy just don't get her killed) she wacl though the wharehouse and then pauses(I mean it empy i want her back alive well cya guys)
((Light Keeper enters the warehouse to find that the door was boobytrapped, setting off a bomb and blowing off both her legs. She is forced to live out the rest of her life in a wheelchair, but is alive. ... ... ... Happy AB? she's alive! hahaha, okay, seriously though.))
As Light Keeper entered warehouse 329, she found her self face to face with...... not a lot. There was the stench of long left damp, mould and rust. Along the sides of the room were tables, the occasional rotten wooden box and in one place a large overturned bath. At the other end of the room was a corridor that lead deeper into the warehouse. The room was very dark, but Light Keeper made her way over to the corridor, staying alert and invisible.
When Chief Centurion and Kid Healer opened he door to warehouse 565 they saw very different things to Light Keeper. Tables were lined down the room, metal junk and mechanical parts spilling off them. Large piles of junk were around the place, wires and parts heaped and seemingly forgotten. The room was damp and cold, and had a corridor like warehouse 329. Next to this however was a large generator. It was humming quietly away to itself, three thick cables running from the generator to down the corridor.
Opening the door to warehouse 523, Aisha and Flash walked carefully inside. Before them they saw a small group of Freakshow, some sleeping, some working on their crude metal augmentations, others talking amongst themselves. The Freaks had not yet noticed the two heroes inside, but it wouldn't be long before they did.
((Just a reminder, you don't know what's going on in the other warehouses until something is said over the radio channel!))
"Captain, we've got a bunch of random tech and scrap here," the Chief muttured over the comms channel, "Some sort of generator, powersing something further in, too...Investigate, over?"
The Chief had faded, his metallic body now a much darker, steely colour. He motioned for Kid Healer to keep behind or near him, in case trouble showed up.
