Ok, with the opening of Architect Entertaiment ands it's little power suppression room, i was thinking it may be a good place to roleplay (also no power distubtions).

What does everyone else think?

Yes.

Further to this, though, I would strongly suggest one of the more out of the way zones for it.

Galaxy City is actually pretty good - last night, when the Atlas AE building was heaving, Galaxy had maybe 5 people in it.

Sure, that's likely to change, and it's worth noting that local chat range extends quite a way inside the building, but it's lovely and quiet, and the surroundings are really rather pleasant.

I think I'd prefer it to the GG statue, to be quite honest.

The wisdom of Shadowe: Ghostraptor: The Shadowe is wise ...; FFM: Shadowe is no longer wise. ; Techbot_Alpha: Also, what Shadowe said. It seems he is still somewhat wise ; Bull Throttle: Shadowe was unwise in this instance...; Rock_Powerfist: in this instance Shadowe is wise.; Techbot_Alpha: Shadowe is very wise *nods*; Zortel: *Quotable line about Shadowe being wise goes here.*

Yes, Atlas does have alot of people in latley so Galaxy City would probably be best.

I think it makes a good conference room, gather together a team, brief them and then send them off on a player created arc.

I also happened upon an idea for a soley MA based character >.>

Well ran my first set of IC missions, everything went well until I messed up the scale slightly on the second mission... something that would of resulted in Twi going down for a long time.

However some post mission retconing moved that map to Boomtown.

Results are as follows:

The Harkon has been destroyed.
Twi is in a lot of trouble with her mom.
Crey, Arachnos and the Council are wondering what went on.
A lot of Malta ended up in hospital

I am happy to put the creative hat on and do stuff for the MA with regards to roleplay. The MA in RWZ could also be a (highly populated by non-Rpers) good place for the higher ups to mingle with villains and do things for the common good/evil/meh. The mere fact that AE seems to be almost everywhere fills me with joy and anticipation of stuff to come.

Also, Muu's Footsteps Initiative was a great antidote to lesbian catgirl mania - obviously not strictly an RP thing but a hoot nonetheless.

It might or might of not have been something to do with the Harkon.

I wish we could use RWZ one, as it would allow people to bring villains too ^^ Like Pocket D without the tools and spamming!

Check out The Delta Intiative please, Arc ID: 26912
More to come involving the Delta Experiment if you like it.

apart from the lvl limit why not make use of the RWZ AE it seems perfect place for RP ..as its in a zone where hero and vill work together already .

For your consideration:

Arc ID: 23894
Character (publisher) Name: Infinitron
Arc Name: The Fall and Rise of Infinitron
Level Range: 40-50 (i think)
Mob Types: Varied - Outcast/Crey/Sky Raider/Axis America/Customs
Length: 4 missions
A quick precis: It's the background story of Infinitron, through stages of his development - Hardest thing in the set is an EB. Should be easily soloable by a non squishy, squishies will likely need friends (or make sure you are on heroic).

As for the RP place discussion - you make the point yourself Rock - the lvl limit. People dont want to have to have their character at 35 to RP it. I only have 4 characters above 20 as it is.

Posted

oh i fully agree about the level issue ..what i more meant was it is a logical place for heroes and villains to RP together ..more so than Pok D ..i have a ton of sub 35 lvl RP toons and it is a problem until we get a low level co-op zone ..

I only have three above 30. =S

RWZ is useless for generic RP due to the level restriction. Only people with chars at 35+ can go, and RP toons have a tendency to be lower...

It's fine for specific RP use, but for the "turn up and play" style, it's useless.

..is there such thing as generic RP in CoX , beyond chat about cookies cloths and girlfriends ....and as for turn up and play ..GG history show that appearing and trying to drop a plot is not a good idea ..only planned RP works ...

..now given the number of people who prefer villain side it seems shame not to strive for more co-op RP ..

That's true Rock, but unfortunatly, sods law and all, that means either D's(Yay. -.-) or RWZ(also yay -.-) both of which have downsides that tend to steer most people away from RPing there.(Most GG'ers or smart people that is. THose that RP in D's tend to do it in the Redside bar or in the arena in the wee hours if they have much sense.)

Things like GG is what I would class as generic RP. Dropping stuff like plots, planned RP, rarely works there BECAUSE of its generic nature. You want something like GG to happen in the RWZ? By all means try, but don't be disappointed when it doesn't take off.

Actually, there is quite a few in D past 8pm. Although I agree with you, I'm not too fond of blue bar, lot of gods demi-gods supers etc, not enough 'normal' characters, but there seems to be a lot more 'normal' characters in the red bar (I see a lot of criminals, VEATs, etc there)

no i would hope RP in RWZ would be much better than GG FFM

..because people would have made the effort to get there ..

GG , and i fully admit i am very guilty of it , promotes lazy RP ...

GG is Generic RP.
It is also fairly clique. Yes, you can turn up with an unknown, as I did when I first showed. But it takes either knowing people or a bit of luck to actually get any RP in, sometimes. Not all the time, but sometimes.

PD however has two distinct camps. Blueside, aka the Toolshed. Here be Godmoders.
And redside bar, which tends to be a lot better. Invaded sometimes by the odd tool, too, but less so.

And, on topic...more RP is always nice? -shrug-

In never used too.. In it's first year or so, it was a vibrant spot where plots DID regularly crop up and get played out, at least in in part, and it was a LOT of fun. People would be there regularly until 2am and rarely were we bored. It's only in the last couple of years where it's become a lap sitting borefest with nothing of any substance happening.
