Because bearing in mind I have tried to put forward why I think the game has never hit its potential, and you lot have constantly knocked my theories and suggestions,then clearly the game should be doing fab business right now.

I'm not worried. I'm also not convinced at all there's any sort of apocalypse going on whatsoever, unless reorgs are considered apocalypses nowadays.

Busiest server is Freedom but it's got the nickname of Freedumb, if the reptuation to go with that nickname is true or not, not sure.

Second busiest is Virtue the unofficial RP server.

Eh? Knocking back your theories and suggestions isn't mutually exclusive with the game not doing fab business now.

Put it like this, if someone had suggested the game was doomed because they weren't targeting pensioners, the game not doing well now wouldn't mean they were correct.

Indeed, we all agreed that more advertising was needed. It was just the idea that CoX sould be attracting as many people as watched The Dark Knight movie that was absurd. Or that Supergroups where of more than marginal interest.

It's all irellevent now anyway, I shall go and do something more productive until SWTOR comes out.

Lots of time, possibly have difficulty getting out of the house to socialise, remember Steve Reeves as Superman, would seem like an ideal target market to me.

Praf, there is one reason that no one was prepared to pay to advertise, market and take advantage of all the huge exposure of the massive, global grossing superhero movies, of which the Dark Knight is but one. Only one reason.

The big boys didn't have faith in the product.

And dont get me started about Supergroups and the dozens of other things that could have made this game, that is great to a few, great to a mass audience.

Judging by the local chat there i experienced last night i would say . . . . yes the name suits it (iv never felt the need to bust so many noobs ever!).
But the plus side is that with over 1300 online at the time (11pm welsh time ) finding a PUG isnt what you would call . . . . hard.
Also in half an hour there was TWO random 50 mill cossie contests?!?! I swear im going to have be VERY creative in competitions to stand up to them lot!!

I would really like to log on and play but if theres even a remote chance that thing are gonna go belly up then I'd rather not.

It weird getting attached to a bunch of pixels on a screen but then again I tend to get attached to everyone of my pen and paper rpg characters (when I ain't DMing, which is rare).

BTW would anyone be interested in an PBEM version of COX ?

It never ceases to amaze me how people can judge an entire server population on the actions of a small minority. I'm sure they're are quite a few dedicated and intelligent players on Freedom.

GhostRaptor: Server populations have been trending upwards since Issue 13 release. There are no current plans for any server mergers and we're looking forward to Issue 14 and the rest of the year.
