Halloween spawns - spirits in particular

Big teams I found spawned them quite a bit, I was also told that the spawn round the GMs, though as I was afk/dead for the first one we did and just dead for the 2nd one I couldn't say for sure.
spawn around the GM.. that is the unseelie.
Did alot of the hunting solo and in teams of 4 or 5. And even in the teams I saw them perhaps once per hour, this goes also for the soloing.
Can't remember them being this hard getting last year... so something is not as it should be.

Yes, In about 8 hours of T&Ting I've already got all the event badges except for GM-related AND one for Spirits. I also got only 1 (one) Statesman's mask in the whole day! Next most difficult was one for vamps and Back Alley Brawler's gloves...
I've noticed the event salvage drops have been very thin on the ground this year. I've had one on all my toons and spent an easy 3 hours T&T'ing.

I have no solid proof, but I susoect that low-levels do get more treats... If they don't they should... (Lvl 6 Storm/Elec Vs werevolf... He'd have a chance if I selected flight instead of TP for 1st pool... )
OTOH my main scrapper eats vampire lords for breakfast (ok, might be a problem if it's were+sorceress), so it's fair he needs more ToTing to get all the cool drops 
P.S. Minor inconveniences aside, IT ALL ROCKS! Really, absolutely, rocks, yes, even on Defiant, I was there. 
And I still haven't seen special GMs
I would love to see more ghosts! Ive done 4-5hrs toting yesterday and saw maybe 2
Im not sure what is going on this year but it really feels like that zombies/witches are the most common to spawn, followed by the nasy werewolves, followed by the easy vampires and lastly the virtually non-existent ghosts.
Ive seen one GM in Kings Row
And the salvage is so random! One toon I spent ages trying to get the Hami one, another ages to try and get a Lord recluse mask and another trying to get BaB gloves!
And I can't wait for the Zombies to start spawning in Defiant! Was a little upset that I didn't see any, but at least it meant I could get the majority of the ToTing for the cossie slot out of the way

Agreed. Spirits seem to be extremely rare from ToTing.

I was on a ToT herd yesterday in the RWZ and we only got wolves sorcs/witches and zombies.

Luck of the draw I guess. Calamity gets more than her fair share of spirits and wolves - they don't half scarper quickly if you don't manage to get a quick hold though, they'd give Linford Cristie a run for his money. She gets little else apart from the usual zombies and witches.
Yeah, trouble with spirits is they do a runner.
Team size and difficulty setting has an effect on what you get though.
I really should do something about this signature.
I don't think it's luck of the draw.
I spent over an hour in PI this morning ToTing and I spawned only 2 ghosts in that time, out of hundreds of spawns. There were no runners either.
IMO it's simply a glitch, but one that needs fixed.

Try changing your difficulty to either 2 or 4 if you are solo.

The spirit badge is very hard to get but so is the Ostentatious badge. Only for the die hard badgers those two. Perseverence is all you need.
Don't forget that T o T is very good for getting tons of xp. Especially in big teams. So you are not wasting your time out there.
Been doing some Trick and treat in a team of 8.. it goes slowly. Problem is... it gets to be too much xp, too quick.
I had all the other badges, just the "Buster" left (still working on it) and I want to do other content (story arcs too). But with the Spirits this rare... I have gotten 1 level in the mids... just for the hunt of spirits.
Devs, pretty please with sugar on top. Make the Spirits a bit more common. (that is the only scar of the joy of Halloween)

Got all the non-zombie badges on 2 alts today. We also did 3 Eochai's in a row. 1 spawned right after another in talos, about 400yrds away.
4 defenders (3 rads) and a scrapper took him down...

Gotta say that was fun, spent all morning and most of the mid afternoon looking for Jack spawns, as rare as the ghosts in ToT but at least it states on wiki that jack has a ten percent chance
But taking down Eochai being the only main damage dealer was mightily fun, especially when hes debuffed to buggery with a bunch of rads 
And when we finally found jack seemed half of union blue side turned up to spank him, heres hoping envoy posts the screenies he took, he mustve lasted a whole 20 seconds if that
Now just waiting on the invasion, completely given up on the buster badge for now

Took Eochai down in atlas yesterday, only for him to immediately respawn in the same spot, didn't see that happen at all last year.
Only ToT'd on 2 low level alts... but does seem to be a lot of sorceresses and warewolves so far. Only seen 1 vampire and 0 spirits in 2 hours of ToT. Do you get larger inspirations at higher levels? as only got small insps yesterday. Last year got tons of large inspirations aswell as halloween salvage.
It also seems to me that the door timer has changed. Last year would stay at a 2 door building and alternate every 30 seconds. This year you can hit 4 doors in a minute (if all treats) but then have to wait 2-3 mins to repeat cycle.... has this changed???
Also did the zombie invasion on Union. Was disappointed to realise that you can get all 4 badges in 1 zone if you have a group of 16+ people... EB badge first (as only need 1 to count)... Bosses seems like the hardest to get in smaller groups.

Got involved in an invasion in Talos and got 4 badges from that.
Have to say ToTing seems to be many more tricks than treats this year and we're only getting little Insps not the huge ones of the past.
Didn't get the buster badge even after door camping 1 door in Talos with a team of 5-6 for over an hour and getting 1 spawn every 15-20 seconds (so maybe 200 spawns).
I had a fair few Spirits appearing but they were the rarest (thankfully as they're a pain).

What's the Ostentatious badge awarded for? I got it yesterday (never realised I was a die hard badger) but forgot to check what it was for.

Ostentatious is for 50 of the halloween costumes (temp powers) drops. Only took best part of 5 or 6 hours to get... so easy peasy really.

I had a run of over 30 tricks in a row this morning followed by five treats in a row. It may all even out over the long term but that's a pretty lazy way of randomising if you ask me
