Further Quality of Life Improvements
- have the login cursor jump to password field if you've checked the 'Remember login name' box
- Have the game not listen to window events when you tab back to it (I've eaten more than a few accidental inspirations when I've clicked on the coh window on the ativity bar in windows. It also switches targets if you alt-tab since it thinks the tab press is ingame)
- More fadeout of toggle sounds (for some reason the Minerals armor sound really bugs me)
Icelock - Ice/Storm Controller
Command Bot 1 - Bot/Traps MM
Just a little thing, but how's about on the character select screen showing our character with the last costume they were wearing when you logged out. I keep missing one particular character because they're wearing a costume they haven't used since they were on the US Servers (I'll get around to changing it one day!)

Just fixing the bug that shuffles back all chars in selection screen after having sorted them out would do for me.

Amen to that!

Honestly though I really don't see why the Devs had to put 2 brokers/detectives into each zone when surely 1 would have sufficed (like in Grandville, funnily enough). It's just a needless annoyance and now it's probably too late to do anything about it. I have to wonder what design goal prompted that.

Same here - get rid of the indoor detectives please, and put the police van in Steel Canyon closer to the police station (and allow us to call detectives to finish a Safeguard). Yeah, I don't like the travelling.
Why do we have to meet contacts at all at low level it takes longer to travel there and back than it does to complete the mission. Don't be shy sign up for the Paragon yellow pages
A pop-up for each IO salvage item in our inventory and in our vault saying on what recipes that we carry can be used to.
Having to right-click each one of them to see that info, is just plain dull...
EDIT: Why most posts on this thread aren't about small interface QoL suggestions but requests for changing game aspects?
I've suggested it before and it's come up in this thread but I'll put it in a suggestion on its own:
Update the rewards on Story Arc completion to be something worthwhile. An uncommon recipe drop would be nice but a rare would be even better (could be linked to difficulty/length perhaps). A standard SO just doesn't cut it any more.
Oh, and everything that Valk suggested.

Obviously to some improving QoL in Paragon means helpful interface choices to others it means more sweeping changes, anything that makes you a bit happier could be seen as a QoL change. It's all a matter of personal taste and interpretation.
<ul type="square"> [*] I'd like to see the chat window be made modal, and accessible on the log-in screen, costume editor, base editor, loading screens, enchantment manager and everywhere else by toggling it on and off with an appropriate hot-key.
[*] Irc-II style query windows for tell conversations with friends.
[*] When moving stacks of salvage around, let the number of moved items default to the size of the stack, rather than the previous number of items that were moved. It's only occasional that I find myself moving partial stacks around anyway.
[*] Writing and reading costume choices to files. (Implemented so that players can share said files through e-mail or otherwise.)
[*] By default, shops should only show the most relevant enhancements (highest level you can use, and only those enhancements that can actually be slotted into a power you have.)
[*] Remember the choice of zoom level for mission / city zone.
[*] When entering a mission, you should still have access to the broadcast chat from the zone you entered the mission from.
[*] Multiple presses of backspace should cycle through the last x persons you've sent or received tells from.
[*] Make it possible to assign one of the existing power icons to a macro.
[*] In the team channel, make the team leader's text a different colour.
[*] In-zone teleportation booths in Independence Port (run into one, run out of another elsewhere in the zone)
[*] Different shades for resisted and unresisted damage numbers.
[*] Real-world and game-time clocks in the UI.
[*] Jabber access to the in-game chat
[*] Wall-decorations for base that are windows, external doorways, skylights and city zone vistas, so we can pretend the base is something else than a hollow concrete cube.
[*] On the enhanced team list, the option to only see your buffs (or at least, only buffs you can make) on team members.
[*] The badge graphics made available as ready-made avatars for the forums
[*] When, after having prevented the bank robbery, and you've completed one of the sub-missions on the map, the first click on "Exit" should take you out of the sub-mission and back to the safeguard. A second click on "Exit" should then exit the safeguard mission.[/list]
Walking.
Yes, it's a QoL issue. I am fed up of having to tap movement keys repeatedly so that I don't overshoot things or get too close to the edge or whatever when being able to walk in the game would make careful movement far easier.
Personal buff deactivation
Unless this already got added, if I've been buffed, right clicking on the buff icon should offer me the option to remove that buff. For all those helpful folks who speed boost newbies to watch them slam into walls, or even the ones who think it's helpful, but don't realise that it isn't always.
Disclaimer: The above may be humerous, or at least may be an attempt at humour. Try reading it that way.
Posts are OOC unless noted to be IC, or in an IC thread.
* A new difficulty setting. Missions get a bit too easy once youv reached level 50.
* More supergroup emblems available.
* Story arc completion rewards overhaul.
* Set the city terminals up so players can list events using the following:
~Server
~Type of contest (selectable from a dropdown?)
~Day
~Time
~Zone
~Rules/restrictions
* A tab ingame set up for macros/binds to make it much easier for players looking to do /afk messages and animated costume changes.

Oh my! Both signed by me. Very cool suggestions. I look forward to see them done!
Also one more if I may add (already suggested but not in much detail):
Selective disable of power effects during PvE
Ability to right click your buff icons and disable (will be remembered between sessions) the actual effect of that power. Only for toggle powers and incoming buffs. It will be disabled both locally (what you see) and globally (how others see you) at the same time.
The switched off effects should not be taken in mind for situations while others can't see your buff icons but they need to know what it's going on:
- At PvP zones
- On players that aren't in same team
Possibly these have been mentioned before... but i didnt fancy going through 14 pages to find out.
The ability to change teh colour of wings in SG settings
Ability to send messeges to people in your global friend list using the CityOfHeroes homepage while out of teh game
When hitting level 50 instead of the dormant xp bar, an Influence bar which completes every 10million influence and displays influence count when hovering over it also selling stuff goes towards this..
buyable temp power to remotely search the AH to find prices. sometime si get curious if i have enough cash yet and dont want to trek all teh way from the other end of teh city.

Full zone revamp - probably a new high water mark, given GR's original post covering the scope of suggestions:

Let me suggest something on that:
Make the "tutorial" talk missions (i.e. those that don't have ambush involved), droppable without counting on the 3-day limit of the other droppable missions (i.e. no counter on those, someone can drop any number of them any time). Also make sure that when dropped they give no XP, but when they are done properly they give XP to lure people on doing them.
Something I would love to see (although I cannot see it ever happening) is the ability to have two builds per character. One of the main reasons I don't PvP is because I have spent time, effort and inf setting my alts up for PvE and do not want to have to respec just to do a little PvP then respec back again for PvE which I play most.
If people could successfuly (this is important - there is no point doing PvP just to get pwnd by someone who is built solely it) PvP without having to respec just to do it then it could make the whole PvP scene more popular!

For IOs:
ability to assign salvage to recipies.
ie: drag the salvage (say mu vestment) onto a recipe you own and it gets allocated to it and is no longer included in the pool of slavage available for other recipies. It sounds silly but I have often created an IO only to discover that i used up a piece of salvage I was storing for another recipe without realising .
With drag and drop allocation you can pre-assign the salvage you want to use and know 100% that you have everything you need to create what you want before you reach the crafting station (obviously this is less of a pain for people with portable stations but assignment would still be useful).
the asigned salvage is still counted against your total but listed in a seperate tab so you can easily see whats required and what can be sold on or put in storage.

I didn't know you could skip the tutorial until someone pointed out that the 'no' option on the 'Enter tutoriel' dialogue actually means 'skip' not 'back as I thought it did, So just change that plz
/edit perhaps I misunderstood what someone meant by 'tutorial' there sorry, think my point still stands though.
Oh yes! A "Back" option in addition to the "Yes" and "No" for the Tutorial confirmation would be a godsend.
Bind commands that will allow you to target the nearest minion / lieutenant / boss would be really handy.
A bind command allowing you to target anyone in your team whether or not they are in your LOS
Just a couple of suggestions
The target window should contain information about the mezz status of the enemy and, more importantly, information about any debuffs anchored on it.
I noticed that if you want to check if a name is free on a server you can't actually do that unless you have at least one cr3eated character on that server.
So if you want a special name. And you goto another server to see if that name is free. And that server doesnt yet have any toons on it. the option is grayed out.
I want to check before hand. Without having to create a dummy toon first.
