  2. Dusted off my old Invulnerability/EM tanker earlier for a freespec. all his old IO's were done back when IO's first came out and i dont know what i was doing.

    What should i slot him for now though?

    I think i'm right in saying positional defence isnt useful for him, as Invincibility reaches 70% for typed defence, so slot for that? try get him up to defence cap?

    or resistance? s/l is capped as standard with Tough, Energy's a bit weak go for that?

    Build that psi res/defence up?

    Advice: required.
  3. While loading up the recent patch i encountered a problem.

    "Checksum failed on piggs/texvworldbases1.pigg"

    I do a full check on all teh files and still come up with teh problem after fixing.

    Would it be worth finding this pigg, deleting it and letting it download again or uninstall teh game and re-install it?

    The ability to change teh colour of wings in SG settings

    Ability to send messeges to people in your global friend list using the CityOfHeroes homepage while out of teh game

    When hitting level 50 instead of the dormant xp bar, an Influence bar which completes every 10million influence and displays influence count when hovering over it also selling stuff goes towards this..

    buyable temp power to remotely search the AH to find prices. sometime si get curious if i have enough cash yet and dont want to trek all teh way from the other end of teh city.

    A Re-haul of boomtown... want to see more action going on in there... like what happened to the hollows

    Fix the Cathedral of pain taskforce!

    Get Rid of Stupid "go talk to Lt. Wincott" missions at the start of contacts in kings row where i hav eto go all the way there and come all teh way back. tbh most of teh time, newbies in teams will be directed to Wincott by the leader.

  5. Currently i'm going through a Phase of Creating Technology Heroes/Villains...

    Sonic would be an awfully nice set to use with these but! how about allowing customisation withusing the Guns that the Council use for Sonic attacks. make it a bit more Tech!


    Spines! I want metal ones. Or even Better, Talsorian Spines, with a glowing Aura around each one to keep them in line with Toxic Damage they can be tipped with... Cyanide? i dont know

    Something a bit more tech in the way of Controller Primaries.. a Devices Control (yes i know this has been suggested before well Gun Control or something like that) This could have something like an Assault bot as a tier 9 power similar to Jack Frost or Animated Stone

    Archery should have another Weapon. An arm mounted Crossbow. Similar To Knives of Artemis Crossbows where Rechareg times can be made up by loading the cross bow, to replace pulling bow (or whatever the string bit is)

    Ideas, Recomendations and Suggestions please.

    I have two 50's lined up

    a invuln/nrg Tank (with fly)
    a Empath/elec Fender (with fly, tp and grant invis)

    Wont be online for a few days though..
    So good luck if i miss it.
    For those without fly, would it be a fine suggestion to say exemp down and get a raptor pack beforehand? (if not having already of course)

As i Dont always team. i wanted something that deals a handy amount of damage by himself, but strong enough to keep myself alive in large teams.. tried to use Sets to gain whatever buffs for defence and resistance as i could, obvioulsy gotta keep with those Willpower tanks =) of course not finished due to money worries, if it were i'd have more purples in there :P or a bit of numina's covelance. but i'm working on that

    My favourite is people invite me blindly, i kindly send a tell back to them saying to send a tell first and decline teh invite. then they send another... declined again with another tell explaining myself... and then the same again... its tiring sometimes

    Absolutely, I remeber a few months ago it was suggested that Brutes should get Ice armor, which to be honest would be pretty cool. but the Devs insisted it wouldnt work as fury would not build up fast enough because of teh high defence. Which is fair enough.. now i'm not sure about you but i think SR is a defence based set? hence less hits and lower fury. one of the devs bad desicions i must say...

    Kat Vs DB?

    DB is good for the buffs/debuffs, but i prefer the point damage and defence debuff of katana.much simpler for me. besides if your using it for PvP, DB is for large mobs of units..in my opinion..

  18. Could this not be sorted by.... say for example..

    If an enemy is phase shifted, you could phase shift also to attack them? as in shift into the same Dimension as them so you can attack.. would be a neat idea also..

I may not have been a tank for as long as many people here, but made my way to lvl 44 so far. its not psionics that worry me about invulnerability, with manoevers and hover and other general defencive powers. but its the strength of the more common resistances, like Energy, i find myself a lot more squishy to enrgy attacks from rikti rones than i do to mesmerists. i could easily tank psychic clockwork, with heavy taunting. but put me against a mob of 6 or 7 drones and i'll yelling out for spam healing in seconds.

    i agree it needs to be changed. it just doesnt seem like a tanker power any more, but is more suuited to scrappers. when teambuilding and i'm looking for a tanker. i think everyone knows what to choose...
