When you're playing CoH listening to music...
Usually either Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance for DPS chars (Blasters, Scrappers ect) then Nickelback and
Foo Fighters for support chars (Controllers, Masterminds ect)
Add in the occasional Avenged Sevenfold, Korn and Disturbed here and there and that's my basic epic fights/must-keep-everyone-alive soundtrack.
I am the Blaster, I have filled the role of Tank, Controller and Defender
Sometimes all at once.
Union EU player! Pip pip, tally ho, top hats and tea etc etc

Hehe, Points of Authority always rocks for my Empath, and Nickelback - Hero for my PB's "traditional-superhero-flying-around-city" moments
@Lukas
Ooh, I dunno... I listen to a lot of stuff, but I always connect John O'Callaghan feat. Audrey Gallagher - Big Sky (Agnelli & Nelson Remix) with flying around with my Scrapper, DJ Stacker. >.>

Max: "Me too."
Stuff
Alright lets see here *brings up playlist*
You've got the touch - Transformers the movie
Dare - Transformers the movie
Saxon - Forever Free Album
Truth Beneath The Rose - Within Attraction
Danger Zone - Top Gun Soundtrack
METEOR - TM Revolution
Vestige - TM Revolution
Gundam 00 Soundtrack
Painkiller - Judas Priest
Ram it Down - Judas Priest
This is a small number of the songs I listen to while playing my blaster for more agressive toons such as my scrapper or brute I mostly listen to Dragonforce or Ramstein.
Union Heroes
Zektole - Level 50 Energy/Energy Blaster
Exia - Level 5 DB/WP Scrapper
Raven Lightstar - Level 19 Peacebringer
Union Villains
Operative Morden - Level 28 Crab
Virsago - Level 50 Bots/Traps Mastermind
Defiant Heroes
Halcyon Black - MA/Inv Scrapper
I mostly listen to Planet Rock radio when I play, but when I'm bruting I tend to listen to a lot of Megadeth and Black Label Society instead. I move from classic rock to some nice heavy riffs instead
"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"
I listen to After Hours DJ Bass, Trance and Electronical goodness!
I find this with every game, certain albums remind me of certain games when I play them, for instance SYL's Alien reminds me of Half Life 2 when I listen to it, or if I listen to Anoraknophobia by Marillion I'm back on Norath fighting pepper poisoned kitties.....anyway when I'm playing CoX I listen to a mix of heavy (Arch Enemy, Strapping Young Lad, Ayreon, In Flames, Dream Theater, Megadeth, Soilwork, KMFDM...etc) to more sedate numbers (Marillion, Muse, Ayreon (again, *shakes fist at Arjen Lucassen*) Syntax, Devin Townsend (*shakes fist at him too*), Open Hand, Pink Floyd...etc) they all fit in somewhere I just pick what fits my mood at the time. Of course I have to play: "I dont wanna be (a superhero)" by the Roadrunner All Stars every now and again, when I'm on villains, as it synchronises perfectly and is beautifully cheeky.
Oh: "Color your World", "Underneath the Waves", "Aftermath" and "Zen" by ol Devy are perfect for when a fight starts getting frenetic, especcially when the team are meshing well and it becomes a stunningly choreographed ballet of death...with particle effects.
I don't wanna save my soul now,
I just wanna lose control,
And even if it takes a lifetime, to learn:
I'll learn!
Hilariously:
Anything by Annie Lennox or The Eurythmics
Bjork is good for long TFs... as is Meatloaf
Size of a Cow by the Wonderstuff
and finally, Great Things by Echobelly.
*feels ancient*

Nah cause you said LPs, and they aren't the Linkin Parks.
Meh, they got nothin on Linkin Bark tbh, tree-based rapcore ftw.

Fatboy slim, Weapon of choice well its good for playing something with a weapon!
I just think of Christopher Walken and his dancing, there should be an emote for that
Frostbourne: lvl 50 Scrapper Katana/Regen
Energenica: lvl 50 Tanker Invuln/Energy
Ionised: lvl 50 Defender Empathy/Electrical Blast
Avalonica: lvl 50 Controller Ice/Storm
SunSphere: lvl 50 PeaceBringer
Just to add, currently been slicing up Rikti to Scooter's "One (Always Hardcore)".
Strangely seems appropriate. >.>

Stuff
Most of the times just something with speed and power in it , Thrash Metal or Metalcore for example, that's for the missions with lots of action.
For the more relexing things like easy missions or just hanging out I put up some nightwish,Delain, within temptation or something similar.
interesting question... just feel even more ancient lol, listening to the velvet underground, the stooges, the sex pistols, the cure while on mission...
Much more electronic when in Tf... beginning with daft punk (enjoy the live mix superheroes/human after all), bjork, underworld... often ending with Laurent garnier, new order, aphex twin or green velvet...

It's my thing - by the way, I am a bloke
ha ha ha... just talking about music, only music, "arctic blokess"... but still, nice music in your palace princess...
"Venus in Furs" always seems appropriate for one of my Dominators in particular, although not Velvet Underground but rather a more recent John Cale version - I never really liked Lou Reed's voice on that song.
Buzzcocks, Hendrix and most good guitar pop all often seem to work for me, so let's leave all this "ancient" stuff alone now, shall we...?
What songs do you guys find fit really well with the gameplay? Like a certain part of a song co-ordinates with a certain power and you're left wowed.
I'm a lostprophets fanatic so it'll come as no surprise I find their songs fit nicely, but it comes in many different forms...
Like when I'm ripping through my farm missions on my Fire/Kin Controller or SS/Fiery Brute, I quite often put this song on repeat; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMDTO...eature=related as it fits so well, and sometimes gives perfectly timed "movie scenes" with background music.
Similarly when playing quick paced toons, like Blasters and Corruptors, I find this; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aR4c2I2Wtvo fits brilliantly, especially the opening.
What songs co-ordinate nicely with your toons?
Note: Creative forum because it's related to Music and creating short spontaneous movies within the game :]
