There are quite a few uses for it. Slows are one way as well.

Had one that made me laugh today, was running round Sirens (defiant)for 10 mins whilst waiting to go out. I came accross none other that a spine/regen scrapper (my bounty) fighting an MM, I wait for my moment to strike, he hits 50% hp and I move in:
BU.............
Scrapper - "**** brb phone"
AS........He goes down
The regen then announces that i'm a lame-o and tells me that he's off to buy 20 rage and 20 insights to get me.
He returns and I sit in the base chatting to friends, more baser/wimp tells 
I run in and brawl him, he inps up big time, I placate him and leg it, this angers him having wasted half a tray of insps, que abusive tells lamer/noob/baser/unskilled stalker
He tells me he has two scrappers on the way that can see stalkers (he likes to point out that they are also spines)
, he then broadcasts "Stuff this i'm out, Arcane is a waste of time" then /t's me that when "Scrapper X" kills me, its from him 
sigh
Sounds about right for sirens, then when you kill them they come out with the statement "you have a way overpowered build" or they make up some pointless excuse.

Something that brought a smile to me.
Earlier had the 6 Council AV mission ready for tackling, so thought to plan ahead and get some Shivans. Did so with the stalker i was playing with, (both of us 48 at this point). So we head to BB, get the samples, clear a firebase and get the ore. Head to the scientist, get the temp power. At this point, the stalker is called away in RL by the door. I am in a tell conversation with her husband about him bringing a brute or corr for the planned mission. At this point i notice my status bar in the top and see the Energy Snipe icon. Not really paying attention, i look around, notice my health had decreased a bit, but see nothing, thinking to myself, must be an invisible blaster. I stand around more, and this time see the snipe blast itself hit the stalker, again, not much damage. Looking around i see the energy blaster flying just south of the helicopter back to Cap, and admit to myself, i have been able to get closer than that without fly, so its reasonable to be attacked considering where we were standing. Looking through my power i see fly is post 25, i cant use that, so quickly open my power window, find the first temp flight pack i can, slot it, activate it, hit follow on the blaster and cue Air Superiority.
Cue the blaster changing snipe targets from the stalker back to me, too late to counter as i knock them out the sky. Standard reaction, blaster starts hopping around, so i turn off the flight pack, drop down on them, and find out they are EN/Fire as they pull a fire sword. I start firing my own fire blasts and debuffs from /Kin. Healing when i can, eventually get Scourge attacks in and beat the blaster. Not a hard fight, not an easy one though, a nice brief bout.
Still, it brought a smile to me thinking that the blaster had been floating around sniping targets, most likely not expecting me to fly right at him and take the fight to close quarters

This was some time ago on my Merc/traps MM in sirens ..some spines scrapper had been bothering me for awhile with impale and then jumping away, so i thought its time for some payback.
Filled a box on the oilrig near villain base with mercs and caltrops and tp foed the guy in.. he died quite quickly as you can imagine and i was met with a responce of "OMG i got TP'ed into a box full of pets ! I'm petitioning that because i had no chance of escaping"
Thats the whole idea !.

Once did something similar to that with my /Dev blaster. Got into a box, planted 15 mines, or so, got the villains attention, 2 brutes and a stalker all SJ to me, i run into the box. Cue lots of explosions and close quarter fighting.
They hit me, my mines detonate, i hit full defiance pretty much, they lose sight of me in the small box, cue caltrops and fireball swiftly followed by Blaze and Fire Blast, 2 dead brutes and a dead stalker

Hehe, remember the brute in WB (I think) who reckon'd he could own all blasters one on one, only for 3 of us (Me, Del, and you) too take him out, one by one. And then called you Devalose
Ok this happened to me in RV recently, My EM/Elec Brute and his heavy were attacked by a Dark/something scrapper and an Illusion/something/Ice controller, both with heavies.
It all turns very hairy so I pop Power Surge, kill the scrapper and get the the controller down to about 10% hp at which point he goes into hibernation. Soon after he starts hibernating Power Surge gives me the 10 second warning so I super jump away, it crashes and i'm left with 1 hp, 0 endurance and no way to recover (no insps). I get to the villain base where I rest. I then see a torrent of profanity in broadcast and the controller asking me why Brutes always run from him blah blah. I point out that if he wasn't so busy hibernating then he could have killed me.
Was I supposed to sit there with 1 hp waiting for him to stop hibernating so he could kill me?
was on as a INV/SS tank today in SC when a lone mind dom decided to fly up and "ambush me" They seemed quite perplexed as to why nothing was happening to me while I pummled them with my attack chain. Once dead they logged out so I couldnt advise that TK doesnt work on INV
Made me smile for some reason

You and Del had it easy compared to me though, you being Son/EN and Del being... er... Elec/EN at the time i think ( ). You had blapper style builds, i was on my SC level 30 build, only difference btw SC and WB for me being i have CJ and SJ .
Was still funning when he kept running into the base claiming we were ganking him during the 1 on 1s, when his HP went red. Even more funny after you and Del both beat him, then he went after me for being Devices, not expecting me to have seen this coming, and sitting on 16 or so Mines
Oh, and then he threatened to petition us i remember.

Strange, I've been TK'ed on my /Inv scrapper - does the magnitude of Telekinesis fall somewhere between the magnitudes of protection scrappers and tanks get? If so, anyone know how many break frees a scrapper would need to pop to get up to tank level protection?

Did they have domination running at the time?
Could have held you pretty fast and dropped whatever toggle protects you from tk.

It was a fight against a dominator and a corruptor that went on for a few minutes and I was TK'ed a couple of times (one time for about 45 seconds, maybe longer). I was able to attack throughout so I assume my mez protection was still up - I assume the dominator would have used a hold on me at some point during the fight so I'd have been held if it had dropped. I don't know if the dominator had domination running or not - the fight lasted long enough for him to have built it up.

A few nights ago, a blaster was getting mouthy. Was trying to brag about having 3 level 50's. I eventually offered him a fight in the arena. He accepted. In the arena he started claiming that his powers weren't working as he couldn't drain my endurance. He obviously didn't realise that rad has protection against end drain. I beat him 19-0 in a 10 minute fight.

I have never been able to freely 'walk through' any repel effects with my invul tank. I must say im a bit confused about this talk about invulns repel resistance.
On comparison I can ignore force bubble when I pop 4 bfs but my invul tank hasnt got anything like that sort of protection.
I say this requires further research. And lets take it to another thread.

A couple of days ago i was hanging around in RV with my BS/regen, when i ran across 2 brutes with 1 heavy. i was flying above them without them noticing me, and usually i launch surprise attacks this way with just detoggling fly and jumping down. since it was 2 brutes and a heavy, i decided to active mog. again, i started my attack with turning off fly and activating build up, ready for the attack. while still falling down i didnt notice the mistake i just made. but when i hit the ground and my hitpoints going from (mog'ed) 100 or so to like 10, it was just a big D'OH!
Just had a thought.
Activate Rest, +heal, +recovery, -Defence.
10 BFs make you mobile again.
Activate Elude. +Defence.
Enough to compensate for how much you lose and better?
EDIT: Or another such power, and with possibly additional Purple insps.
Thats a lot of bf's to take. I wasn't thinking of going mobile with it to be honest. Maybe something like that might work but would take some testing.

How would you attack? i think rest means that you can only use powers that affect yourself.
i use rest occasionally in 1v1 arena matches if i get a kill and i'm low on health, u have to be on the ball to do it tho
