Yep we all had some great fun with plenty of kills for each side, would be nice to get this sort of PvP more often, maybe some Gathering v.s E.V.I.L arena?
With regards to my blaster, if I did meet you in a 1 vs 1 I'd probs have my face pushed through my skull, I'm more of a team player on the blaster hehehe.
Thanks for the fun man -
Sheesh! I wish I had my own cheerleader like Phil does :'(

It does take and need accuracies. It works the exact same way as fulcrum shift (autohit on your target, need tohitcheck on others so if you only want to duel you can skip the accuracy)

I disagree, imo it doesnt need accs, sonic/cold and cant really spare slots for heatloss acc or at least my build cant, its charge is that long that you can time it with aim and or in vill PvP team you will most likely be forged.
And I'm pretty sure its base acc is higher than fulc as to my knowledge my Heatloss has never missed, where as my lvl50 Kin/elec's fulc can still miss fairly frequently in PvP and PvE, thats slotted with 2 accs.
I guess it comes down to play style, in team PvP I use heatloss for the massive -recharge (wait for two or more to group) and solo mostly for the the -res, infrige - web envelope - sleet - aim - Heatloss then my attack chain (By this time Snow Storm will already be on) Maybe I get away with less acc due to my IO sets with grant around 50% acc bonus, but thats only a recent addition to my build -
That would be the only reason I would take it personally, My attack chain currently is Screech (The longest -res duration)-Scream-Shout-Scream, this chain (Sonic set only) gives me the best -res (I think
) its also worth noting that the -res stacks
Also I hope to get the chance to build up proc in Shout, with the stacked -res Amplify and Sleet, it should pack some punch -
Well, firstly Sonic/Cold is a fantastic build for both team and solo PvP.
I have been PvPing sonic cold for some time now and its by far my favourite PvP toon with the ability to cripple enemy support and effectively pin an opponent to the spot for your team to spike.
My build is based on slowing as many targets as possible as quickly as possible thus I have slotted slow to the max.
I wouldnt take Shriek as the damage is poor and the slots could be better invested elsewhere, plus if you swap the endreds in Scream and Shout for recharge you can make a permanent attack chain with the two.
I have slotted infrig 2 acc 3 slow 1 rec (Will be swapped for Pacing of thre Turtle) as in large scale and arena PvP along with Snow Storm, it cripples Movement. Its also worth noting that infrige doesnt stack.
As I consider myself a support toon I have both shields, slotted with 3 def buff.
I would slot at least 2 endmods in Heatloss, if you miss your target aoe buffs and only have the one application from yourself, you will be left out of end regularly. its also worth noting that Heatloss has a -95% -recharge so use it wisely
I have Sleet slotted 3 rec 3 slow, this is perhaps the nastiest movement slow you have, especially for jumpers. Its particularly good for large scale arena where movement counts for alot and the patch is going to effect a good few people.
I personally don't like arctic fog, personal preference, I cant fit it in as I prefer SS/CJ for movement and my build is pretty tight on end anyway.
Web envelope is a fantastic power and combined with you slows will pin an opponent down for spiking, I personally have this slotted 2acc 3 rec as the -jump is perma for duelling.
I will post my build up later today -

My final thought.. Stalkers underpowered.. Hell no. I have played my MA/SR in all kinds of zones and even when against a Blaster/Emp combo I scored alot more kills then they managed it's all timing and LOS. When I'm seen it makes the whole PvP alot more fun.
Triple Eagles Claw Crit FTW
[/ QUOTE ]
Must be a very bad empath and blaster then...
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks for the vote of confidance Psy
It was two pairs of this combo in SC that i played around with once with my duo stlaker buddy. At the end of it they wern't getting the kills as we could burst through the emp's healing.
Also using placiate at the right time and blocking shots by corners is what we did which ended up us earning alot of kills.. Waiting for a blaster to run at u then hit BU & Aim then u placiate before he gets to melee can annoy them a fair bit
Blaster/Emp combos r good but not invicible imo
it's the whole thing with getting used to fighting with being seen it takes a while to get right on stlakers but can be very very effective
[/ QUOTE ]
Let's say me and thrusty we're in warburg you wouldn't be able to burst through my healing the only thing that annoys me about stalkers us the stun from energy melee but if i have bfs that wouldn't be a problem. I constantly move so you'll get 1 hit in then I start spamming heal aura and run. Sorry can't se how a stalker alone can get more kills than an empath and a blaster.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was the other stalker in this duo, the blaster/emp in question were from one the most successfull PvP SGs on Defiant.
And yep, I'm pretty sure two well co-ordinated stalkers could out damage your healinglets remember your not invincible

I think the problem that majority or people just arent competitive enough, nor can stand the harsh reality of going against real people compared to the soft fluffy computer-controlled opponents of PvE. But thats just my opinion
PVP in this game is the best I have so far come across in a PC game.

Been trying to articulate this for some time now but you just hit the nail on the head -
Yay, thanks Nicey, now time to do the other kin

When I say "build a team" I mean gather the villains in the zone, not a specific team set up. The point i'm making is that there are imo alot more lone warriors villain side.
Heroes seem to like to team alot more, I belive this is due to the fear of stalkers, safety in numbers, villains dont have that unknown to worry about.
As a regular villain PvPer you know full well that a large portion of the villains in the zone are lone stalkers (alot of the time) when stalkers actually work in conjunction with say an MM or brute taking agro, concentraiting burst damage on selected opponents, is scary. Add corruptors to the mix buffing/debuffing and you have a damn good team. But.....the challenge is getting villains to work together in the first place, which I have found to be alot harder than Hero side.
I usually play my Corruptor -
In that case next time this occurs, send a tell to @Serophina, we will get a balenced team together and i'll show you how we take the hero team apart.
-
Have you really spent any time actually PvPing?
Perhaps you had a few bad experiences, we have taken many Villain teams out and wiped the zones, pushing them all the way from our base to theirs.
it can be done, and is done ALL the time, its a team game, build a team, work together and you will beat them.
I do realise that the Villain ATs are more complex in as much as there is more room for error, the Heroic ATs are much more defined imo, and yes PPPs are no where near as powerfull, but villains are by no means useless. If were talking Sirens Call, the average hero team can be undone fairly quickly if a villain team works together, it does seem that villains have more of a "solo" mentality when it comes to PvP.

Much of that happens because there are far more heroes playing support toons than villains

PvP sucks for villains tbh.
[/ QUOTE ]
Please explain why.
[/ QUOTE ]
Scrappers have highest damage modifier in the game
Controller and Defenders have highest buffs and debuffs in the game (empath heal makes a team almost unbeatable)
Every hero group now has tactics so stalkers are pretty much made redundant
PPP are appalling when compared to hero epics
Blasters can do more melee damage than Brutes and are capable of 1 shotting stalkers
[/ QUOTE ]
Am I the only one who grows tired of "villains are weak" arguement? Imo apart from the PPPs (which are nowhere near as bad as some people make out), the rest of that is rubbish, what do you even base that on? -
