You Cheat, you heal, you use insp, you drain my end!
I've been in RV after 11pm tonight and Monday night and a villain who shall remain nameless appears after a certain time. He's a regen stalker and seems to only team with other Stalkers or Brutes. I've been teaming with members of my SG and Monday had a team of 5 and we were doing the PvE elements with the 3 heavies and generally had the run of the zone. Defeated pillboxes AVs and the odd tarantula. Villains show up so we switch to hunting them.
The villains don't half whine when 5 heroes come down on them lol, even though they are there for the same reasons as my team... PvP. Things get a bit heated over broadcast with the stalker claiming various things about how good he is.
Then tonight, I enter the zone, there are a few other heroes and villains about, so my team of 4 AoW get our heavies and start doing the Pillboxes, fighting stalkers etc. then the villain from Monday night turns up. Doesn't leave the zone when he sees its us, but gives some good PvP until he starts whining over broadcast about how he is slowed by Ice and Siphon speed. Then he's whining about how many heroes there are (even though there are a few villains in the zone). He comes close to killing me a few times, but I manage to heal myself. Then he starts demanding 1 on 1. So the Fire tank from my team steps up. Its a draw as neither side can defeat the other, and the fire tank got bored 
. So I ask for a 1 on 1. The stalker doesn't answer. After a minute of standing looking at each other I decide to start. When I fully drain his endurance and he runs around abit, he starts shouting over broadcast about how he isn't ready (MoG isn't up).
So I lay off, and go back to standing around. One of my team mates comes and stands next to me with a heavy.
Not long after the villain lands next to me and strikes the AS pose. I see him and have transfusion ready. I get hit and immediatly heal. The Heavy then opens fire on the stalker lol. The stalker immediataly follows up with another attack and then runs.
Then whines over broadcast.
So I dare him to try it again, ask my friend to move away and I stand ready. The stalker only goes and AS's my team mate after holding him with the unbreakable hold from the Ghost Widow Patron Power set.
I stay where i am and wait for the Stalker. He shows up, AS and I heal. We fight for about 2 minutes and I have the upperhand. I have also been using insp through out the fight. So when he's about to die (I think MoG 
dropped) he shouts cheater over broadcast and flies as high as possible. I follow with Jump Pack (gotta love the GvE temp power) and use Power Build Up and Aim, plus the odd Rage. One shot and he dies. 6 rep points to me. 
Much whining ensues I just laugh.
The usual 'You are noob, you used insp' plus everything else, everyone here has heard before.
Rant over, just had to put that down somewhere lol.

Had one today in BB. Playing my blaster and I run into a lowbie stalker hanging about near a firebase. Seeing as he's low I decide to have some gentle fun. So I stand in sight with the boombox going and my back to him (camera turned so i can still see him). He comes up closer and i say in local "oh, I hope a stalker doesnt get me with any of those sneaky attacks while I'm dancing here". He doesnt take the hint I can see him and comes into range anyway, I whip out webnade and caltrops and bring him to low health. Without killing him (he was glowing and i didnt want to make him get the shivan shards again) I offer to help. His dominator mate turns up and after a getting a few turrets down together the dom attacks and kills me. Oh well, its a pvp zone, I come back thinking he will prolly be ok now seeing as his mate is getting the shivans and needs all the help he can get. Nope, he attacks again and again, plus insults and begging for mercy when it goes pear shaped. I felt sorry for the stalker though, this wasnt helping him any so I switched to my dom, to bad he abandoned the firebase by then though.

Probably a little off topic, but the first time i went into BB and being a bit innocent at the time was not realy sure what to expect - i got well and truly nailed by a stalker - i thought [censored]!!! and he just laughed and said he could see up my skirt while i was face down!!! This happened me a couple of weeks ago actually....but last night made me remember...so I decided to make a post.
Well, I logged on my dominator and entered sirens call to try have some fun in PvP.
As I entered there was some fiery talk over broadcast about a blaster using TP foe to drop squishies on top of his caltrops and mines.
Then I joined in on a team and we fought some heroes near one of the hotspots.
So, the heroes then decide they will bail back to base and camp there...so we follows after.
Now, the heroes starts coming out 1 by 1 and occasionaly 2-3 but gets paved fairly quickly.
Thats when our squishies suddenly starts to disappear 1 by 1 and basically dies instantly....of course the blaster is back.
I gets TP'ed and dies instantly on the mines...rezzes at hospital, sighs and uses aid self...then back to hero base.
Some more squishies are TP'ed onto mines (none of the brutes were ever TP'ed) and I gets TP'ed again...rezzes, again at the hospital another sigh and gets back to hero base.
The TP'ing continues and Im TP'ed a 3'rd time.
I then bites my lip not to flood the broadcast with rants and just say over the broadcast:
"so Mr.Blaster (dont want to use names), do you have anything else besides TP foe onto your mines or is that all you got? seriously, its just lame and pisses people off"
The blaster then replies over the broadcast about he is so squishy, this is the only tactic he got because he dont have any mez resistance, I will just hold him and he will be ganked etc etc (the blaster was also not teamed with the other heroes 
)
So I gets back to hero base and to my big surprise finds the blaster outside sniping me.
I spots him quite fast and fires off a hold....he is held and drops to the ground and I starts laying down fire on him.
Suddenly he pops a breakfree, puts up his toggles and starts attacking with burst, slug, web grenade and caltrops.
In the end he kills me because of defiance.
So I rezzes and thinks: "impressive...he came out" gets back to hero base and the blaster is to be found outside again, sniping me and fireing off slug and burst.
I hold him again, he pops a BF again and atatcks me...a little firefight inbetween us 2 then I throw a bonfire at him so he gets knocked back and off a ledge and down to the street below us.
He comes up again and I disappears around a corner with just a sliver of health and heals myself.
Then a teammate comes running and aimes in for the blaster...which activates cloaking device and bails.
So we go back to the hero base and fights a little more...and the TP'ing starts again...I just shook my head and didnt bother.
Now....here comes the funny part...most people will think this was a random whining blaster....BUT...that blaster belongs to one of Defiants self proclaimed "kings of PvP" which just logged in his "ub3r" PvP spiner last night just to show me how he "pwnz0r" my dominator...and again holds a speech of how he is known on Defiant and how he is a "rated top PvP'er"

it amazes me how many people make those kind of claims in PvP, some people seriously over compensate and a dom in PvP??!?!? I've only seen a couple in my time, bout psy/psy and both very good now i think bout it.
been having my form of fun with a brute in sirens call lately, he has a habit of activating power surge, the lvl 38 EA power befor entering sirens, then popping reds and tp foe killing people while on his little 3 mins of ubernage before running out to restock and repeat.
course everytime i see him i just head to the hospital and rest for a few mins.

I don't often PvP untill resently gave no thought as to how to build a toon for PvP. But I have been moving my dr/reg scrapper build to do PvP and I,m starting to enjoy it.
Ok on to the reason for this post I have a controller grav/empath which i took into a pvp zone when they 1st started with a team from my sg we stood on the beach and took on all comers was fun. But the funniest thing I did was team killed a tank he lay there for some time so I say to team be ready im going to rez him. I rez him and he promply dies again. At the time it was realy funny now i suppose it would be petitioned.

Yeah, regarding the use of Telemining? Tough, it's something that works, and likely the reasons the Brutes weren't TP'd is because they had proficiant protection from TP Foe, and the blaster knew this.
People always seem to be irked by being TP Foed, regardless of whether it is into drones/mines/Tar Patch etc.
It's close to the "You have <Insert certain AT power>, that isnt fair!" This covers Stalkers using Hide and AS, Brute's having high resists and mez protection, Regens using regen moves, Controllers using holds, Doms as well, Empaths using CM, anyone using Tactics against Stalkers, Ice tankers using any defence moves (Yes, it annoys me, but I still play against it and try).
There are ways to prevent being TP'd, orange coloured Insps for one.

Yep, I dont think the blaster done anything wrong. I can see the point of this strategy if your seriously outnumbered but I wouldnt use it as it seems pretty boring. If he came on his spiner bragging about "uber pwnzooring" your dom though well he sounds like a muppet for that. Similarly I had a lovely discussion last night for droning a spine scrapper pushed right up next to the villain base. Apparently I'm a "looser" and "lame", despite the fact we were outnumbered 13 to 4 and this guy was in danger of droning himself anyway (one little hop and he would have been right over the railing and stood next to the flyer).

Saw a contrller jmup down to the flyer once, he was actually able to fight the villain who had been afk by it somehow, arrested him to, then got dropped by a mob.
that 5 hour badge is a stupid requirment tohugh, SC is pretty much build on the bounty system and with people standing afk in the base it kinda spoils it for everyone actually trying to PvP, im offf there to try and get control of the zone back to heroes now
Today I was fooling around with Scrounge in BB (level 22 Rad/Kin Corr)
I faced off against an even leveled Defender (Rad/Psi) and he defeated me a couple of times, but I managed some tactics around his power usage to get myself to victory. Then we talk a bit about PvP, FoTMs, builds, PvE and Issue 8.
Then comes another Rad/Psi, I used the same tactic as before, and he lost.
FoTM:WHEN IM LVL 24 U HAVE NO CHANCE TO BEAT ME! to which I respond: I'm pretty sure not many will.
Then he started smacktalking on how strong his Spines/Regen is and how he pwns noobs in SC. He was really rude. I wish I had petitioned him.
The funniest part was when he was saying that a Rad/Psi is a tankmage and a Spines/Regen is a FoTM, but not vice-versa 
"Rad/Psi is not FoTM it's a tankmage!!11" If only names weren't advisable to reveal on the boards.

got an interesting story about lastnite in Sirens Call, was in an awesome team and we had just completed a mission, so as we stand outside the building watching our countdown decrease, two villains waltz up to us and also watch our countdown....
so there we are - 7 of us standing around looking at these two villains, as soon as we hit zero, all hell breaks loose and after 30secs of fighting.... the hero's come out top!.... and a tad confused as why they thought they could take all 7 of us on?
Two small things from last week.
Firstly, Siren's Call, villains outnumbered, in the base, making what attacks they can, heroes being supported by an empath so Stalkers getting some trouble in the bagload
Bouncing around on my stalker, the empath was mainly teamed with a very deadly Blapper that was SS/SJ'ing about in hit and run attacks and causing a lot of damage. Finally decided to go for the empath, SJ'd down into the water from hitting BU, landed, AS hits, empath losing most of it's HP, blapper instantly does a 180 and heads back from the base right to me, also turns out the AS landed a stun on the empath. Quickly hit tab and changed targets onto the Blapper, hit Placate, removing the threat and used the now temp-hide to crit the stunned empath for the kill. Got a tell from the Blapper commenting on the "Nice kill/tactic" which was nice, if partually due to luck of the stun landing, otherwise the empath could have healed/ran while i dealt briefly with the Blapper.
Second thing, again, a Blaster and Empath duo going around, Empath is in the small nook near the villain hospital behind the door, Blaster is about 5 feet from him, in the open in the villain base out of range of any Drones. Get a call over Broadcast asking to try and take on the Blaster, so I think, "Why the heck", jump down, try taking on the Blaster who is CM'd, Fort'd and other buffs, and I quickly plant. So... change of tactics. Heal up and head back out through the back door of the hospital so I'm not seen, SJ down firing off BU, land at the empath >:] Hit with AS, and as I was zoomed out enough on my screen, I see the blaster rush to me to aid his partner, only to be taken out by the drones he was now in range of Empath goes down moments later.
The fun times I had in SC last week, might spend more time there actually seeing as how it was that good. A lot of nice people at the moment amongst some of the complainers and griefers, got some very good PvP done.
Note to self: Don't start the next "small" post with the words "X small thing(s) from last week"
Hey guys/girls...
Finally got a villain to 15 and peeked into BB last night, and I even got to celebrate my very first hero defeat . I'm starting to develope a taste for PvP, so you'll be seeing more of me in the zones... beware ;P
This is my most recent laugh head off pvp comment/event.
I was about with my Mercs/Traps MM (thought, yeah /traps, but what the hell).
The villains are fighting the heroes on their doorstep, slightly outnumbered.
I see a scrapper on the beach and head over, naturally a fight starts... another scrapper, a blaster and a controller join the fray, not too mention the Freaks that've now seen us lot!
It's 4v1 + Freaks
After a little time my MM is suffering, swallows a green and jumps outta there fot all he's worth, straight back into the base!
Over Broadcast, the 1st scrapper declares "I would've had you if we were alone!"
I replied "Alone?!?! 4v1 plus Freaks and I'm still standing. My money's not on you!"

had a nice BB one as my PB
was floating around near water street and popped a yellow, i then saw a stalker almsot enxt to me, i stopped for a second and as soon as they flew over i moved to the right a few feet, they had tried to AS and failed, they tried again and i moved again, after 6 attempts we were now in open space and they hadn't realized i knew they were there.
It was at this point the stalkers end hit 0 thanks to hide fly toggles and all the attempted AS's, they fell and i followed hitting build up and landing an incandescent strike in mid fall, when we hit the ground it only took one more attack to finish him.

My one and only foray into RV was identical to this on my storm/elec. I took a spin around the zone to see what it was like but only saw NPCs. Then I headed back to zone out and about one block away from the entrance my health immediately went into the red and was disorientated (through hurricane) and then faceplanted about 1 second later to someone that then disappeared straight away. I'm really glad I had tactics and hurricane there. I could see him coming from.... actually I didn't see him until I was dead.
I take it EM stalkers are t3h winz? No wonder the zone was empty.
