Quote:Holy Shnyet! ASAS is back! :P (Not that I haven't already made that joke in game already >.>)Thought I'd have a goosie-gander at all the shiney new toys too!
My new laptop has moved all my keys around though so please bear with me if we team as my binds are everywhere.....
Good to see you back -
I still remember a EU test server run about 3 years ago. Utter chaos, managed it tho. Should really pay attention to when these tests are running :P
-
Managing along. Still only got the blaster/original stalker hunter and LQT at 50, everything else was left quitely when I went and played WoW for a bit, or 2 years... >.>
Enjoying the new additions tho, doppelgangers are a lot of fun, and I seem to enjoy the melee ATs more. Never used to play Scrappers or Tankers originally, not I've got 2 scrappers, altho one is a newbie Praetorian, and a 30 BS/WP, who sat in limbo for 2 years. -
Posting this while I still have game time running out.
Really sorry to hear this, the various RL and ingame events that have been organised by the again various NCSoft staff have been some of the best times I've had in this game and the extended community. My one regret is not having recorded Bridger once saying "Doooooom™" and waving his hand at a Scottish player meet a few years ago and turning it into an avatar, but that's just amusement on the side
Hope things turn out for the best in the end guys. -
Done the arc in question, twice I think, it's a good insight on how people can be. You want to sit in a perfect bubble where people aren't cruel, going to encounter quite a few problems with that.
Scirocco: I enjoyed playing the patron arc, even tho it was coming up on several years ago, or 1.5, can't put it precisely, and it's again a good insight on how people with good intentions, or bad, have the world react to them. Scirocco was never really classed as evil, moreso falling into the grey sections, and yet when he tries to re-write the world in effect, he's stopped. For the will of Arachnos and Lord Recluse, yes, but you don't hear the whole story. You are given a brief that it's to make the world "better", yet the question then stands, "Better for whom?" -
Glad this was around, had these issues on my heroes and it seems fixed now with the /sync. My villains seemed fine tho'
/shrug -
Bah, not been able to check these forums for a while.
So, actor I mentioned, Steve Bacic, regular Sci-fi actor, been in Stargate, Andromeda, BSG: Razor, and various other things.
One of his looks, as Telemachus Rahde in Andromeda suits my Mutation Fire/Dev Blaster perfectly, and this is the link to the image I prefer the most, just, not so much that there is someone in the left >.>

If it's possible, would love this as the acting avatar for my main hero. -
Hmm, quick question(s): Is this thread still going, as recently thought of an actor that would suit my main hero in terms of appearance and previous roles they have played, also, nobody seems to have picked them yet!

It must be all the AR blasters getting excited about customizable weapons.
Rangers HOOOOOOOOOO!

And the Archers!

Shush you, nobody cares about that rubber band on a stick and splinters! -
And to put it into more Blaster/PR friendly terms:

no amount of defense or resistance or tanking or healing, or anything will protect a Precision Ranger from dying.

Noob blasters -
Well, we have had some old, old, old blood come back, D, SWAT, amongst others, and the 1AT is still going in it's own little crazy way.
Some members are even running an all blaster LGTF atm, results soon™! -
Overall, not much given it would need to raise damage caps to have any large effects. Raising the base damage would be similar atm to having perma *insert damage buff effect here*.
-
Given she plays a Druid, she often runs around naked as a cat, so no spandex. Something close to what some people do in this game, but a lot less restricting in how many forms they have.
Also, Orcs =/= foes in WoW the whole time, especially given you can play through the entire game and not have to kill even one. Then again you can do that in CoH and not take out any Freakshow. -
Which I'm fine with, but I'm not taking Soul Drain for anything bar the Acc/ToHit buff, as coupled with Fulcrum Shift, that will cap me in most cases for the next 30 seconds of combat, and given the tricks /Kin can bring to combat, that will spill over into the next set of mobs, be it after a nuke/blue insp/Transference combo or just going for AoE dmg and group buffs. It's mainly being taken to round off those stats that will already be nicely high. But there is always the chance a nuke will miss every mob in a group, both seen this happen and had this happen to me more than once and at least once, respectively.

Aye, Blindy hasn't been playing CoV in about a year now :P She's currently found on WoW.

Planning on taking Soul Mastery as the PPP for the armour (ish), hold (always fun), and Soul Drain (main reason). Combat to look like this:

Soul Drain for corrs is suxorz. Really it is. Looooooooong recharge. Looooow dam buf. Shooort duration.
Soul Storm is king of animations though
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah, but...
[ QUOTE ]
Looooooooong recharge.
[/ QUOTE ]
Will have Hasten and Siphon Speed from PP and /Kin, so reduces that. Also, IO bonus sets help. Currently looking at 1.5 mins ish on recharge.

Looooow dam buf

Which is why I'm using it in combination with Fulcrum Shift from /Kin.

Shooort duration

Which is why I'm mainly only going to use it to power up the Son/ Nuke power, also, 30s isn't short. -
Very nicely made Bushbaby
Oh, and FG? We should have a fight :P

This is what I get for not checking the AT sections of these boards often >.>
Go3 3 Corruptors atm, all /Kin.
Level 50 Fire/Kin/Mu and my namesake
Level 29 Ice/Kin
Level 15 Sonic/Kin
Each played differently, each fun, for me that is.
The Fire/Kin is about the AoE damage I can cause, Fulcrum shift, Fireball, Inferno, and the combos of Power Sink and Tranference means I can happily keep throwing out attacks with little end problems. Then the ST attacks like Blaze are for the heavy hitting moves, and the Snipe 5 slotted with the non proc SoTM set allow some amusing IR'd jumps to occer mid snipe animation
The Ice/Kin is a ST toon. Planning 3 holds, slows and so on. Doesn't clear mobs as fast, but what it can do it remove 3 mobs from combat for a bit, or even a Boss/EB and maybe even AV once the fight lasts a bit.
The Sonic/Kin, despite a low level, is more of a mezzing toon than the others. The cone sleep, hold from PPP eventually, and stuns combo'd with Kin are useful depending how you use them. Planning on taking Soul Mastery as the PPP for the armour (ish), hold (always fun), and Soul Drain (main reason). Combat to look like this:
Large mob
Sleep mob
Jump in and Fulcrum Shift. No dmg component, so mobs remain asleep.
Soul Drain. Dmg component, so mobs will waken, but...
Dreadful Wail, one of the most damaging nukes in the game, Inferno still my fav ^^, but the main part, the fastest activating nuke in the game.
With the buffs from FS, i have a huge dmg boost, and from SD a huge Acc boost, and once I have the nuke fired off, pop a blue insp, and transference anything left standing, likely a boss, or the stray missed mob.
G'f has a Rad/Kin, after I finally convinced her to roll a Rad Corr after she continually mentioned her 36 ish Rad/Rad offender she had before we met, so combination of the -Def from Rad, plus -Dmg/-Speed/-Recharge and others from Kin. Again a snipe to 5 slot SoTM for minumal rooting on the power.
Fun things overall you can do with Kin:
Debuff regen rate, mob based heal, mob dmg debuff, pbaoe dmg buff, mob speed and recharge debuff, self speed buff, pbaoe KB, st team mez protection which is stackable tho is doesnt break sleep, the heal power does; SB!, pbaoe unsuppressable SJ which also removes fly->Hover suppression, mob based aoe end restore, mob and pbaoe dmg buffs.
Depending on how you want to play primaries, be it controlling more than outright damage, or debuffs, you have a variety of sets to pick, all of which have something to bring to solo and team play. Again, that is something you might want to consider about the sets. Stamina, first chance you can get it is 20, same with SB tho, so if you are teaming, and dont use that many other powers yet, or dont have many end issues at the time, could pick SB at 20, then STA at 22. All comes down to personal preferences. -

Agree with Max though, what's with all the jumping about heroes? You end up looking like a bunch of demented Gummi Bears

Hmm, need to bring a -jump toon in to stop all them bunny hoppers -

I thought you could earn up to 5 respecs from doing the trials? If you just do one again you should get another.
[/ QUOTE ]
1 respec per trial unfortunately.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yippers thats right, i looked it all up on para wiki, which read like, well i cant think of a clever way to put it, it was confusing at best. But in the end i tried one of the respec missions again, and i could have any of the bunf at the end.. except a respec lol Was fun any way.
And jared.... Shhhhh! Or no more funding!
