Or has it become a pretty much a dead artform?

Im just curious.

I mean, consistent, plotted RP with activities and such, and not just Pocket D lounging, or forum Rookery silliness.

Never really got into "plotted" RP. Usually disintegrates into playing out the imagined plotline of someone who couldn't write their way out of a paper bag. All the RP I want from CoX is the random PuG RP and Pocket D lounging for the most part, and I get all I need.

I try to. I do, occasionally, find RP teams. Usually on villain-side, though.

Most of my RP happens with the SG and with friends, but we do look for pickup RPers to roll with us pretty frequently. I don't know if that's what you'd call consistently plotted with activities; at some point we'll probably get around to preplanned storylines and RP events and stuff, but at the moment we've got other priorities.

Honestly RP was what brought me back and still keeps me here. Even with the futa catgirls running around.

RP in the state that Haetron is looking for is around, but more closely guarded. Most open RP is the pickup stuff found at the D or on PuGs. Personally I think that good RP can start with those types and move onward.

RP doesn't mean story Telling really. It mean Role Playing and that does encompass the D etc...

What I think you mean Haetron is, "Is there any more Story Line RP going on?"

RP? What is RP? I've heard the myths of such things on Virtue long long ago, but all I see now is people cybering in the corners of the D, while other people pretend their characters are so cool and hit on other characters so that they can get some in the corner...

It's so sad.

QR: I, and the multiple SG/VGs I belong to, still roleplay nonstop. I just see less catering to the old standby of folks demanding, "Someone, anyone, roleplay at me!"

The server appears to have become very fragmented. There is not so much a "rp community" anymore like there once was a couple of years back.

Me & a couple of friends are going to be running some rp / story events through the summer. So watch this space I suppose.

I have to ask though - what is the Rookery all about? And why does it need a daily thread? I've tried reading them but I still don't get it.

I'd say it's more like a higher concentration of RPers than THE RP server now. I rarely play IC anymore, simply not that many people around. You know, outside of SGs and whatnot.

NO, ABOLISH RP, IT'S FOR FAT NERDS WHO LIVE IN BASEMENTS, RAWR PI PHARM.

but really, there is rp, there's pocket D which isn't the Antichrist like one would say, but it suffices at times, SG rp and other event rp which is quite easy to get into, just keep an eye on these forums for events and groups looking for more to help it along.
