MA Map Request Thread

I'd like to see a beach; a nice, friendly beach. Maybe a sunny, cleaned-up version of Grandville Beach (like there's a decimated version of Atlas Park.)

I would like:
* Outdoor Shadow Shard maps for every zone, especially the Storm Palace.
* That Chantry Map used in two CoV arcs.
* That Mole Point Bravo Map used in Technician Naylor's arc.
* Storm Palace Interior Map
* Nemesis Shadow Shard Base Map
* Shadow Shard Glowies (Monuments, Kora Fruit Vines)

I'd also like President Marchand's Office to have spawn points that actually recognize Front/Middle/Back. Right now is it broken to the point of being useless.

Oh and some outdoor Dark Astoria maps and abandoned office maps with fog inside would be awesome.

The sewer-to-caves transition map from Gordon Bower's "defeat all Tuatha in sewers" mission.
All the Mayhem and Safeguard maps
The Grandville Gutter map.
Why do villains always blow holes in the floors of perfectly good offices? I would like some abandoned office-to-caves transition maps.
Outdoor RWZ maps without monkeys on them.
Giant Robot 02 (I assume it's the one with that room with the lava in it, where you look out the window at the robot's head)
The first mission from the Hess TF, functional trap optional.
The cargo ship part of the final map of the Silver Mantis SF, as it is much smaller than the current cargo ship map.

It would be really cool if we could upload assets to cox that we have made in blender or maya or whathaveyou. I know that is a pipedream, but it would still be cool.

Before we ask for more new maps and burden the devs down with building more (if you’ve ever done 3D yourself you’re not likely to be requesting it), let’s at least ask to have existing maps opened up to us.

First and foremost, the Shadow Shard zones. There’s a lot you could do in an arc with those.

I agree with the person who asked for the Pocket D map.

I would love to see more maps that have outdoor to indoor transitions, like the Warburg Malta base map

I would also like to see more maps with civilians running around.

Also, some of the outdoor maps don't allow for you to have ally's or escorts in them. I would like to see some of that added. I have an arc I'm working on that I am trying to use an Atlas Park map with civilians and I want to add an ally, but it's not an option.

There's a very good Steel Canyon instance map like that - I'd love to see it in MA. It is used on Ghost Widow's 3rd patron arc "Brainpower", on the mission to kidnap Dr Franks from a SERAPH Lab:

This screenshot shows the SERAPH lab's exterior, which you can enter - the building interior has a lot of rooms and corridors and even a lift/elevator transition - while this screenshot shows the actual exterior of the same building in the outdoor Steel Canyon city zone (just northeast of Wentworths) - note it has the frontage for the Exchange Bank of Paragon City.

In case any Dev does read this, last time I did that map I typed /whereami to get the map name and it is: V_OUTDOOR_STEELCANYON_SERAPH_LAB

And again, in case any Dev notices this post, I would also like to have the map from Captain Mako's 2nd patron arc "The Perfect Killing Machine" added to the MA. The mission's entry door is in Potter's Field in Sharkhead through one of the small crypt buildings - I only mention this because the entrance room for the instanced map is a perfect transition, as it shows the inside of said crypt and you drop down through a hole in the sarcophagus into a smooth caves map.

Again, the /whereami info for that map is: V_MOS_TO_SMOOTHCAVES_30_LAYOUT_08

As others have requested, I'd also love to see some Shadow Shard maps - especially featuring The Chantry, but also the map with the Nemesis base exterior+interior which is used in the fifth mission of Black Scorpion's 3rd patron arc "The Destiny Raids" and is also used in the 3rd mission of Dark Watcher's arc "The Horror of War".

Plus I'd also like to see the floating arcane islands used in the final mission against Scirocco from his second patron arc "The Hammer of the World", which is also used in the final mission of Mage-Killer Zuhkara's arc "The Circle's Plot" (with Lilitu and Blade Prince Tirses).

It would be really nice to have an instanced map of the interior lobby of the Golden Giza casino from St Martial, but the instance map would have to be created as it doesn't feature anywhere in the game (apart from as a lobby in the outdoor zone itself).

I'd like the Sky Raider base, as appears in the final mission of the Silver Mantis SF, to be made accessible.

As someone already suggested:

A mansion with surrounding lands (I WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO A HAUNTED HOUSE!)

I would also like to be able to control the brightness of light, sounds, etc on maps, or to determine what time of day it is on outdoor maps.

I'd also like to see maps of:

A gothic cathedral
A castle

I'd like to see a Grandville map around the giant statue of Lord Recluse and perhaps a ruined version of it as well. The Atlas Park equivilents exist and a Grandville version would have been cool for my Arc.

I want a map made specifically of gridwork, without the skins, looking like a testing ground. This would be great for missions designed to test opponents. Training mission for an SG. And it might be Dr. Aeon's early work...

There are some great proposals in this thread and I just wanted to chime in here to help guide the future suggestions.

Please keep try to keep suggestions focused on maps that are currently in the game but not in Architect. A good example of what I'm looking for is Lord Mayhem's write up for the SERAPH lab map. It's also very helpful on my end if you can specify what mission you found it in, as it can help me track it down easier.

So please keep this in mind when you're putting forth suggestions!

Now if you'll excuse me, some lawyers have arrived at Aeon Corp, something about taxes not being paid up on one of the AE buildings. Seriously?

Tough call, that one-- I'll throw out what I can remember--

Okay, first... MORE OUTDOOR MAPS! Particularly the Safeguard/Mayhem maps-- complete with destructible objects, mayhaps? Hoorah!

MORE UNIQUE MAPS! Bring back the old Crey lab! That underground Nemesis map that's all steampunky! That Nerva one with all the bridges and floating rocks! Bring on the odd stuff! Yeah baby!

SHADOW SHARD MAPS! We need rock-hopping arial action! Oh boy!

  • The Cargo ship to Skyraider base map. It is at the end of the Silver Mantis Strike Force.
  • The lava maps at the end of the Cavern of Transcendance Trial and the Virgil Tarikoss Strike Force.

Also, what do we do concerning maps that exist in the MA already but are bugged?

I would like to request the snowy Croatoa map for the Rescue Baby New Year winter event missions.

I would also like the sea area + cargo ship outfitted with a Longbow base inside as featured in Alan Desslock's mission "Take Out Longbow base of operations and retrieve list" where you battle the Back Alley Brawler.

Also, of course, any map featuring the Shadow Shard such as in Technician Naylor's mission "Secure Longbow base in an alternate dimension"
