Ya know what? I am not gonna let this thread bother my eyes more than one minute longer. I tried to make a case for understanding of Moderators on globals... I hope I did the trick. I just don't want to be mired in the negatives anymore. Saps the life out o' me.
Incidentally, if you're on the hunt for a new charity this year, I highly recommend the Great Ormond Street Hospital. Their primary focus since 1852 has been finding new and better ways to treat childhood illnesses.
Hats off to all you fine folk. -
I'd also love a bump (Emily Hoyt, Beam/Time Corr; otherwise @Hospy).
I got to the party late, but notched a toon to level 8 this weekend. I love everything about the new Atlas Park. I love that I am finally finding a reason to go to the Northeast corner... I don't think I've ever been there on 30+ toons since I began CoH. I love the introduction missions, and I think the Supergroup introduction is one of the best ideas for new players EVER. -
Hey, thanks for the service you provide, SK. In any channel there are of course misunderstandings, but it's a volunteer role you have, not a paid trust; you doing your best and setting things straight when it breaks down is more than enough.

This means nothing to me.
Awww.
Vienna.
Folks: there's no such things as a totally free channel. They are dictatorships. Mostly benevolent. But in the end, still dictatorships.
Although there's a lot more free speech allowed in CU, I doubt I'm gonna be a cuddly favorite if I go in there bad-mouthing Bud. I use the channel knowing darn well someone owns it, and I defer to their rules-- published or not-- so I can remain in the channel.
Publishing the rules is just being honest that there is a limit. -

Folks, whomever runs a Global channel, that's who calls the shots. There is no point in fussing about it.
BMT is what Ping says it is. End of story. If I have a problem with the new rules... and I really doubt I will... I will vote with my feet. Ownership of BMT does not lie with the community, and SHOULD not. It's in a Moderator's hands so that NCSoft will never have the unenviable task of trying to sort through our drama and resolve it for us.
To be direct, I genuinely liked the way BMT was run this past year... and yes, I was silenced once by Cobalt. I asked him why politely, got a polite answer, apologized and pledged not to do it again, and got unsilenced.
Cobalt and I are not global friends, we aren't in a SG (but we do share a Coalition), we don't share a realtime talk channel, and we rarely talk about more than the mission at hand. But when I heard he was stepping down, I thanked Cobalt for helping me efficiently get the team-ups I joined BMT for in the first place. He did more than that in his time, though-- when I had trouble sometimes getting a team together, he was often a willing volunteer.
Some of you have lingering issues with the Blue Guy, and if you can't drop it and let go, well brother or sister, that is your prerogative. I bear you no ill will, but the guy happens to be an enormous asset to my play. Thanks for reading. -
Feel free to push me to team 2 or 3 to spread out the MM's.

Ah sweet! Well, as usual... never mind... and thanks, folks, this is gonna make life much easier for my Stalker and my Ninja MM...

I'd like to see you put a daunting but possible cost on making the Travel Temps... Like Beast Run and Ninja Run... slot-able. These temp powers cannot run in tandem with Super Jump and Super Speed, so I can't slot Stealth enhancements in them.
These slots would be purchasable by Astral Merits or Empyrean Merits in Oro.
I don't do a Were-beast toon, but if I did, I would love to be able to give it some kick outside of slotting up the Fitness inherent pool. I do have several Ninja toons, and on most of them, given a choice, I would much rather use the Ninja Run Temp as their travel power... I could put a Stealth in it that way. And I'd be willing to grind away on a hundred Trials to see that happen.
Or even simpler: just allow the Ninja Run and Beast Run animations as options in the Super Jump and Super Speed Power Pools, unlocked if you have these temp powers unlocked on your account. -
Forgot to do this when it happened, but I managed to get my Ninja Sword/Ninjitsu/Weapons Mastery Stalker, Himit Suzuki, up to 50 this past weekend.

Happy birthday, Cobalt!

Hmmmm... are all the new Lore's the same with an untouchable LT? No wonder the options were so specific. I'll have to see what else I can come up with. Thanks for the input!

You're doing that wrong... here's how:
Steel Dominator is hosting this year's Annual Server Pic!
Date and time to follow... Don't be left out! -
I am slapping my head after working so hard on a Warwork for my Robotics MM, now that I can get another Assault Robot. I had a few thoughts in the direction of pets I'd like to see Lore enhancements for. I start with the simple and get to the complex.

CORE: Behemoth Overlord and Succubus
RADIAL: Behemoth Overlord and Spectral Daemon Lord
NECROMANCY
CORE: Nightmare (you know, from the Zombie Apocalypse-- just one)
RADIAL: Zombie (minion), summons 5-10 randomly, a zombie 'Gang War'

RADIAL: Enforcer and two Beaters (new, Thug-like minions of moderate strength who use a chain whip with a good chance of causing knockdown and moderate damage and can possibly cause a DOT Hold)
NINJAS
CORE: Shinobi (a Ninja version of a Tsoo Sorceror, Japanese instead of Chinese, who uses an animation similar to the Ninja training animation for his Heals, and Miasma instead of Storm Summoning) and a Kunoichi (female Ninja, basically a redressed KoA in all her caltrop-stacking glory)
RADIAL: A pair of gun-wielding Genin, wearing black-on-black Stealth-set clothes instead of ancient Ninja garb; one has AR with a Snipe instead of a AS attack, the other is DP with Executioner's Shot
MERCENARIES
CORE: Commando and Demolitions Expert (just a simple military redress of a Thugs Arsonist)
RADIAL: Commando + Medic -
Do I understand it correctly that there are only two payment costs right now... free and $15, or is the monthly price for VIP different now too? Is there anything in between?
-
Best of everything to you, Undead_Cyborg, thanks for adding to my joy of Champion over the years.
-
I took the enrolling as just 'log in and play', but perhaps we can get someone to confirm there's no process besides that?
-
I'm getting the DB error message when I try to get into Champion. Which has me all grumpy, seeing that I'm off today and wanted to play for a few hours. I'm thinking this is probably an error with their server and not my computer, but I'll reboot to be on the safe side.
C'mon, NCSoft, test it before you announce it!
