It raised all new forms of hell on the forums, Facebook, etc. Zwillinger pulled the discussions and is now trying to retcon the idea with the Devs. The goal was to use a badge to lure off-server players to a populated server in order to do a high load test, under real world conditions, during an event. The public response was less than enthusiastic.
Keep your eyes open today for additional news on this.

I took the enrolling as just 'log in and play', but perhaps we can get someone to confirm there's no process besides that?

They hit PI, Atlas, Cap and Mercy I think. She would announce when to head to a new zone. When we finished the Moonfire, I went to Ouro and saw 4 PI's spawned at the time (around 9pm Eastern). I was tired, so I didn't partake in the festivities.

I was reading on their announcement that freedom is not going to be invaded until may 27th.
Its pretty dern cool that we are gonna get the biggest invasion, you know, save the best fer last.
But thats a whole month I gotta wait because pie if'n ima go back a character on virtue.
Can't wait for this in the 27Th of May. I saw the messages, but i was too busy with AE that day. I hope to see all of you that day.

So this is a zone event like the Rikti Invastion or the Zombie Apocalypse?
I was really hoping it was like the Rularuu invasion from way back in the day (2004?) when we had Overseers, Wisps and the like cruising willy-nilly all over Kings Row, 24/7. Anyone remember that? =) Man, my Level 3 Blaster got OWNED.
