"An evil place" isn't much to go on. What kind of map are you looking for?

It's the SkyRaider base but it's the instanced version from Lt. Chalmers' Help the Sky Raiders fight off Longbow mission. Hopefully it avoids the potential problems the TF version of this map would have. Also, it could potentially house a GM spawn.

Not sure if it was mentioned or not, but I would like to see the Eden Trial map available in MA (or if it already is, couldnt find it). I recently got to do an Eden Trial and was very impressed on that map. As another person in our group said "I was expecting another generic cave map, but this is amazing".

I'm a little surprised none of the Croatoa winter maps got added after all this time. At the very least, MAPS/MISSIONS/UNIQUE/WINTER_06/WINTER_EVENT06_CROATOA.TXT would make sense. I think there's a number of lesser known yet useful maps that didn't get added in. None of the cargo ships that start out with an exterior of the boat are available. Neither are the mayhem/safeguard maps.

Similarly, removed maps like the Floating Ziggurat (MAPS/MISSIONS/UNIQUE/V_GRANDVILLE/V_GREAT_CEREMONY.TXT) should be added back in.

I'd like to see maps that are more historical or culture based/themed. It's rather annoying to try to make a medieval themed arc without any medieval castle interiors.

I'd also like to see outdoor maps from Cimerora; the town, the temple, the fortress, etc.

I know very little about programming but I am curious as to what it would take to have a series of generic "blank" interior maps and permit the author to choose which wall/floor/ceiling style (ala the SG Base editor) to apply to them.

Totally customizable maps would be cool but I realize they are totally out of the question. If Custom Critters eat up so much space, I don't want to even imagine what a completely custom map would cost in terms of file size.

Must admit, Eden map is fantastic. I remember first time playing the trial and it was late at night; forced myself to stay up till 4am playing, was awesome. Its a complicated map in terms of various drops but I guess even if they broke it up into separate maps it would be great.

I would also love to see perhaps additional animations; like it would be great if you could have your allies sitting down at a table (though that presupposes you could get them all to appear at the same location...not sure if that will ever happen). Actually, speaking of that second point, when specifying that your allies show up all in Front or Middle or Back; any way to try and get them to show up in that same specified location? I have found sometimes with larger maps, if I include less objects (allies, enemies, floor/wall objects, battles, etc), that it helps to get them closer to each other but not always..anyone else know of a technique to make it happen more frequently?

With how often Mayhem's Hospital is used, it seems like an array of hospital maps (ala office or warehouse) would be handy for regular missions and AE.

Wish there were more outdoor shard maps too--like some of the mission maps used in some of the villain missions.

And on that note I would like to formally request all the new cool maps from the SSA arcs. As if you devs didn't know already.

I'm not convinced that all the maps we need are from scratch- there are existing maps in the game that need to be released for Architect use.

Despite all the features CoH offers, the game for some reason just does support zone weather, and this is something other MMOs feature from games as old as EverQuest to brand new MMOs.

I must call for the release of the Winter Event maps; this includes two winterized versions of Croatoa. The southwest farm region (and west of the tram station) for the Lord Winter battle, and the forested far east for the Baby New Year mission. There's also a winterized version of Agincourt island (sans Longbow) in Nerva Archipelago, where the Lady Winter mission occurs.

All three could be of great use for the mappers, even in completely non-holiday related missions.


The haunted house from last year's Halloween Event and Manticore's Mansion would be great fun to have.


Finally, instances of the four Shadow Shard zones would be a huge plus for us mission writers.
