Super Booster II Magic Pack Now on Sale Discussion
Love the new costume pieces, the emotes, and the new power. All great work and I'm sure I'll get a lot of mileage out of them on at least a few characters.
The triple billing from server interruptions during purchase is a bit annoying, but I'll wait it out until tomorrow evening to see if that gets cleared up.
If I have any suggestion or request for this booster pack, it would be simply this: If possible, it would be very nice if the selected costume emote in the costume window was saved per-character rather than account-wide. Lightning fits one character very well, Cast fits another, Spin fits a different one, and Presto Chango fits very well on two others. Most of my other characters work better with no emote on costume changes.

Okay-
The shoulder fur needs to go in the shoulder section- NOT attached to the bolera thing. (Or both) I only wanted the shoulder fur, and I don't want to have to deal with it being attached to a trench coat thing that gives my stalker a stubby tail. And what the hell is up with the stupid stubby tails?! I thought those things got nixed a lonnnnnnng time ago as they were STUPID.
Clipping issues be damned!!

Can't use bunny tail with Bolero :/ Also, costume change emotes option didn't come up while I was in tailor. Can someone pm me if I did this wrong somehow?

I would just like to say that this booster pack is AMAZING! My fav part is the much, much, much needed costume change emotes! They're AWESOME! Woohoo! In fact, I was so excited about getting the booster pack for that reason alone that I forgot that there was a "tarot card reading" feature included, until one of my friends asked me if I could "cast" it on him...
Thanks for finally implementing the costume change emote, Devs! YAY!

Ran into similar problems with purchasing the back through the online store; numerous time-outs over a 40 minute period which finally resulted in purcashing two codes. A slightly frustrating experience, but nothing to get too worked up over.
As for the set itself -- absolutely spectacular. It puts the previous Booster Packs to shame; the number of costume options, and the quality of them, are well worth the cost. I have a long conceptualized character that I can finally create; previously, no costume I designed quite fulfilled my concept. That alone made it worth the price, but I also have many characters who can use individual parts of the set.
The costume change emotes are total win. I hope we see many more of these.

Having given up on the billing server, I attempted to use the PayPal service.
...
It timed out and threw an unknown error when going back to the NCSoft site.

Double check your Paypal account and see if it got billed. Mine choked coming back to NC... er, para... whoever's store it is this week, but did have the code ready to apply.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ditto here. Paid via PayPal, got thrown back to the NCSoft Store with an error. Was actually in the middle of writing a note to Support when the "Code Available" message came through.

Hmmm...I guess I really lucked out. I used my credit card for my first acct, and Paypal for the second. Only clicked once, waited for stuff to load then the 'accepted!' note came up. Was then sent to the 'apply code/upgrade account both times. Got 'successful' on both. I am so sorry so many people had such a hard time. Wish I had an answer, but perhaps it's cause I waited till the wee hours to buy.

Hello all,
I haven't been able to give it a try yet, but from what I read on ParagonWiki, there are barely any "negative" effects that you can actually get from the Mystic Fortune (a small to hit debuff on The Fool, a one time damage on The Tower, and still getting a bonus on the side for both)
From the description of the power, I would have thought it to be more of a "risk taking" choice than it is (like busting those experimentation labs in the lab maps), and even if I'm not going to complain about having an easy access to small buffs when grouping, I can't help feeling a bit disappointed by that.

so what's next? Science? Alien? Natural? Arachnos?
Does anyone know if there are any binds i can use to have me change costumes with the new animations, and not pull out the costume tray?
* Dig it! *
Yes. You can type /bind *KEY* "cc_e *NUMBER OF COSTUME* cc*NAME OF COSTUME CHANGE EMOTE*" to accomplish this.
For example, I bound my first costume to my 0 numberpad key with the "Lightning" costume change emote, so my bind went like this:
/bind numpad0 "cc_e 0 cclightning"
P.S.
Bear in mind that costumes are numbered 0,1,2,3,4--NOT 1,2,3,4,5....

I just want to add my voice to the chorus about this booster pack. BaB and Sexy Jay did a great job on this pack! Thanx guys!!!
Thanks for the Costume Pack and thanks for solving billing issues as quickly as you guys did (I got 3 codes thanks to the paypal error problem and got refunded within 4 hours for 2 of them)

I have a question about the magic Booster Pack.
I was able to find info about what's in the Booster Pack through some of the links before (such as what kinds of fortunes/misfortunes, some of the screenshots, etc.), which included some vids of the costume change powers.
I can't seem to find it again, and I wanted to show my nephew. Is it gone, or have I not clicked on the right sequence of links?

Yay... all went through without a hitch. No delays in processing and so far only one charge on my CC. This time it pays to be on the other side of the planet to the rest of you.
Come on all you other Aussie's.. put your order in now while all the 'mericans are asleep.

Any word on when (or if) these costume parts will be available to custom critters in the MA like the Cyborg Pack is available?
[/ QUOTE ]
At launch. I logged into an account that had purchased most of the MA costume unlocks already, and was able to create MA NPCs with the witch parts, high collar cape, etc. immediately, without purchasing anything else with tickets. My guess is that it comes with whichever one has the Cyborg pack in it.

Is there any luck with getting refunds due to this being a massive, known problem?

My three $9.99 refunds posted this morning to my account.
OK, here's the positive and the negative (not necessarily in that order):
NEGATIVE -
1. The NCStore website needs an upgrade/overhaul for usability, especially during these crunch times. Key issues were:
a. Enormous lag from the NCSoft website/pages during release dates such as this Super Booster Pack II.
b. The security image that you apply at the end of the credit card input page rotates out way too fast, due to the lag of the security image showing and the poor quality of the different font-styled security alphanumerics made it very difficult to distinguish a "Q" from an "O" or a "7" from a "T". Slowed up the process, thus keeping more people online longer. Trying to struggle through this security feature a couple times to get it right was irritating. You need a better security screen.
c. The confirmation of purchase screen did not appear after the credit card input/security page, thus preventing the purchaser from truly knowing if the purchase occurred; in one instance for me, I received an 'error' stating to redo the purchase, yet it DID go through (this worked to my advantage since my family is on my account, but not an advantage for the standard player/account).
2. Costumes -
a. Was sad to find the new folded split front boots for the males only; would like to see for females.
POSITIVE -
1. The Super Booster Pack II: Magic costumes are indeed incredible quality! The detail, crispness and imaged depth of the costumes once again proves that Sexy Jay is the uberness! These costumes will and shall be used in many of my characters and concepts; Major Kudos from Major Deej on this!!!!!
Overall, I am impressed with the Booster Pack; I am not impressed with the NCSoft Website/Store. It would also be nice to see the new boxed set, Architect Edition, in the NCSoft store as well.
[ QUOTE ]
Hmm, I want to buy the AE box, which comes with the free month AND the code for the Magic pack (or Cyborg, but I already have that). Am I missing where this is available? I'm completely dense and blind at times.
Or is the box not out yet? Online that is...or is it ONLY in stores?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's available in stores. I know for a fact that EB/Gamestop carry it, because I bought mine there. The quantities seem very limited though.
Buying the boxed set is actually a better value, since at $19.99, including a month of game-time, the booster pack costs you $5-$7 (depending on your local tax rate), instead of $9.99. Also, having a disc with all patches through I14 in it will make any future re-installs much quicker.
It also allowed me to bypass all the billing shennanigans mentioned here, and let me go straight to the code application process.

We are identifying double taps and those folks will be refunded.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sounds like a very painstaking task. I only hope NCSoft learned a valuable lesson from this the next time a booster goes live on the store and not enough servers to handle the load.
I mean honestly...the Titanic on her maiden voyage had a better success rate.

Did the game sink? Did people die?
The costume changes - an absolute brilliant addition to the game. I love all of them but I have many questions:
1) Since these were all essentially magic-themed, can we get some more themed ones with the additional booster packs? And some tech-themed changes added retroactively for the owners of the cyborg booster pack?
2) Can it be fixed where a weapon draw doesnt mess up the transition? I have a couple characters where the transformation is supposed to be linked to a magic weapon.
3) Some elemental changes (fire, ice, etc.) would be nifty. Sounds like a good addition for the mutation booster pack.
4) *DELETED* Answer is here!
5) Assuming that (4) is not possible, can it be made so a default can be set per character and will activate if any of the /cc commands are used?
6) Can it be made so that the changes can be set per character? It seems like it carries over on the account and I didnt like having to change it each time from character to character.
Thanks for listening!

The Fortune temp power seems to be buggy, I know there's a 20 minute duration to where you can't get your fortune read again, but it's to the point where the buff has long past and I still can't get any fortunes, even after multiple tries.
unless I missed something in the description...
edit: ok...so it seems they can't be used more than once in a mission?
