Well we each have our opinions. And my opinion is that I'm done. I've already spent $40 on "boosters". There is no real new end game content. There is no real new low level content. Sure you could argue that I14 brings low and high level content, but not really. It's short missions with almost no reward that isn't even created by NCSoft, but other players.
There is practically nothing different from the game now compared to the game I started playing 3 years ago. Yet what has my $40 got me? A few superficial costumes.
My point is that they used to give us new costumes as part of the new content. Now we have to pay for every... single... one...

And now onto a segment we call "Really, with Perfect Tommy"
Really Borehounds, you bought every booster pack, knowing what was in them, knowing that they were in NO way required to play the game, they were purely optional costume packs with limited appeal inherent powers (sorry but I just don't use self D every battle!), and even knowing ALL of that, you spent the money willingly, and you are complaining they charged you for it. Really? You don't think if after the first $10 booster that you weren't satisfied with, you figured you would invest another $30 to be unsatisfied more? Really, because I am thinking if you didn't think the costumes were worth the price, you wouldn't pay for them. I don't know any costume I NEED to feel good about playing the game. You say you have to pay for every.single.costume? Really Bore? really? REALLY? It seems to me the I13 day jobs added a whole bunch of costume options. So did 12 and 11. In fact with the exception of I13.5 (okay call it 14) all the FREE updates came with costume addtions, as far as I remember. So you can't have a magic hat, or cyborg face without paying extra. That REALLY doesn't seem like EVERY.SINGLE.ONE. It does to you ? Really?
Another little fact you may not be aware of .. "I quit" posts aren't allowed by the forum rules. Really. You can look it up. I'll wait... ... ... /e wait ... ... SEE?? So I think what you REALLY meant was to vent about how you don't want to pay for the small percentage of costumes that are extra. You probably don't like to wait for vet rewards either. I REALLY doubt you are leaving. I would be willing to bet you are not in fact leaving. But if you do I can only say one thing....
Can I haz yur stuf?
This has been "Really.. with Perfect Tommy"
Love the new Magic Booster. Alll the costume pieces are of the highest quality, Jay (and his minion) have out done themselves. The Emotes are also awesome (do we thank BABs for that?), & the power is nifty.
My only (quite small) dissapointment is a certain lack of parity between the genders. I can understand the lack of parity between the 'Witch' & 'Baron' pieces, but the fact that they dont share the new 'hat' options is disapointing, as is the fact that females dont get the new Skull Mask (could this be an oversight? I cant see any rationale for this particular disparity).
The fur trim shoulder piece could stand to be available on many, many more tops (tops with skin in particular).
Not a lot I'll be using right now, but good to have the tools in the shed if I get inspired later.
So, when's the next pack coming so I can can give you guys another 10 bucks?
I'd like the fur piece to be available as a shoulder item, so that it can be paired with anything, instead of having it attached to a second version of a lot of tops.

My only real gripe with the booster packs (and it's a small one) is the price. Considering that full expansions for MMOs have traditionally sold in the range of $20-$40, I do balk a little at paying half to a quarter that much for some very narrowly themed costumes, emotes, and a special power. They're cool and all that, but I think something like $3.99 is more reasonable and fair for what you actually get.
Think about it: The booster packs have no store presence so there is no packaging or manufacturing. They're only advertised on the website as far as I know so there is very little outlay for that. Aside from the man hours put into to the design and development of the items, emotes, and powers, I can't really think of what other expenses there are for these booster packs. I have to imagine that the profit margin is pretty sweet.
Again, it's a pretty small gripe and I do have to flatly disagree with your assertion that you're paying for all your costumes. You very clearly are not. I'll likely buy the others coming down the pike as well...but I am aware that I'm being gouged just a little bit.
