Thank _you_ for all you've done, for these amazing 8 years.
Wishing you best of luck. -
Not going to repeat what I already said in the Discussion thread. So I'll make it short.
Thanks Z and everybody else for everything CoX has been, and best wishes to you all. -
Man, everytime I read one of these posts, I can't help but just love the crazy way you play.
I'd almost be tempted to give a try to that way of playing if I did spend all of my gaming time in CoX.
Good luck in your all purple con quest ! -
Quote:Long story short, they prefer to keep it exclusive to twitter or other kinds of promotions for now, however I think I have read Z saying he'd suggest they end up putting it on the market later on once that exclusivity "wears off".I'm sure it's been said and I don't have the time to read all of this thread to check, but why not have free code giveaways for items in the market? There are people who love auras (me) but don't have the time to constantly check twitter. I know I can't get this as it's currently implemented. Why not put it on the market but have giveaways on twitter for people that aren't willing to purchase it?

It has been said several times in this thread, but I'll say it again, thanks for making the twitter promo work like that, giving more players a stab at getting the code.
I kinda feel for the poor guys who have to send all these codes though... I hope they can get their hands on some tech to make it easier on them for the next time.
I also wanted to share with everybody this lil' video I whipped up for those still wondering what the aura looks like in motion : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTFRdx18z30 -
Quote:Chances are you're not the only one who can only play on weekends.Sadly, I work nights and can only play on off hours when nobody's on. And when I finally have time this weekend, everyone will have run it enough and global apathy will set in like it does with every event/new trial...
Besides, since there's those attuned enhancements you can only get once per toon per 20h, there's bound to be people farming it everyday with all their alts, so you might still get a chance ! -
I don't think I saw anybody suggesting it in this thread, but if you do get the "no-tp" bug in the casino heist and have the self destruct power, you can use it to kill yourself and get back to the lobby, when you take the door to the movie, you'll be sent back to the warehouse.
Granted, you must have the power and not have it on cooldown, but it can help to save a run if enough people can do it. -
Been having that too, sometimes when I want to re-open the launcher via the tray icon, I'll only get a "blank" window I have to force close.
Started to troobleshoot this with customer support, but when it got to the step "disable everything at startup" to see if it was conflicting with any other program, I gave up because it was much more trouble than just having to force close it to restart it.
However Black Pebble, I do seem to recall it only does it after I have played and quit COH, and therefore with the launcher running in the background while the game runs. -
It is actually specified in the individual items description in the market, however not in the package description.

These packs are indeed fun and with quite good pricings !
And if anybody wants to check them out beforehand, I've set up a few videos showing the emotes, costume changes and auras from both packs.
Winter Holiday
- Snowflakes and Gift Emotes
- Naughty and Nice Halos Auras
- Present Costume Change
New Year
- Firework Emotes
- Firework Aura
- Confetti Costume Change -
Hello fellow heroes, villains, vigilantes, rogues and whatnots.
Back when I was thinking about which empyrean/astral incarnate rewards I was going to get first (yes first, because I think like me, many of us are going to want to get _all_ the auras, costumes, emotes in the long term anyways ^^) I managed to find some stuff about the auras, yet I couldn't for the life of me find a single video or animated gif that would show the Empyrean Costume Change Emotes.
Since I still can't find anything either on the boards, youtube or elsewhere, I made up a quick video which shows all of them in sequence, and thought I might share it here for people to find, hoping it might prove of help.

(I just hope this is the most appropriate section to post this, and apologies if there is already something like that out there, my SearchFu can be weak sometimes) -
Ha ha ^^
Well in any case, thankfully I haven't had the problem anymore since I posted. -
Either that or your connection is being routed by some weird paths xD
-
Having similar problems here in France, playing on US Servers, suddenly I get disconnected from mapserver, then I can't even reach the coh website for a couple minutes, then it works again, and then I get disconnected again... rinse and repeat...

Woot ! Results at last !
Great and many thanks to the "jury" for selecting one of my submissions, can't wait to see it in the game alongside with all these great loading screens. Congrats to all the other winners !
Now just out of curiosity, could you tell us how many submissions were received for each zone separately ? -
A bit disappointed here too, I would have liked an answer about the "one entry by partner yet 2 winners announced by onrpg" just to make things clear. Maybe it's just changes in the submission process to NCSoft, not advertised here, that allowed the partner who submitted the big winner to submit their second choice so that every partner site has a runner up ?
If that's it and it means more people winning stuff, I'm only going to complain (a little) about not having been kept informed about it here.
Anyways, I dunno for onlinewelten, my feeble grasp of the german language isn't enough to conduct a meaningful search on their forums for information, but there hasn't been anything on the gamekult news about the results of the contest yet. -
Hello,
From what can be seen here : http://www.onrpg.com/boards/166555-6/ it seems as the NPC designing contest winners have been determined, even at the NCSoft level, therefore, I have a few questions :
- When are we going to see some official results on the COH website ?
- According to the rules posted on the announcement on these forums "our European partners will each provide their top entry to NCsoft for the Grand Prize", how is it possible for onrpg to claim having won 1st AND 2nd place, if they were only supposed to send a single participation for the "Grand Prize" ?
- I also would like to point out that that the lack of guidelines and rules about how to participate in the contest might have given a slight disadvantage to the people participating from some partner websites.
* Gamekult had their participants submit a single screenshot by website account via a web form, displayed immediately (no indications against montages, bios, etc...)
* Onlinewelten seems to have asked their participants to send a screenshot by e-mail (my german might be a bit rusty)
* Onrpg allowed posting on their forums of several screenshots, even several characters, with bios and showing multiple costumes.
While I kinda agree that individually, it's up to each partner to determine how to choose their top winner, I can't help thinking that in the end, even if they each submit a single screenshot to NCSoft for the "Grand Prize", the judging between a screenshot simply showing a character in the character creation screen, and a screenshot showing a montage of different costumes with a bio of the toon, might be a little biased... There'd be basically a single submission from one person against what could be considered several submissions from the other.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining that we had a contest for EU residents, on the contrary, it's great that things could be organised so we could participate (as well as in the loading screen contest), but the hectic organisation around it makes me wonder if something hasn't gone wrong with this contest... -
I would go with Option 1 also if it's only improving the old pieces without changing how they look or feel.
There's bound to be some legacy costume pieces that will be missed by some people, but all in all, I find myself often not using some costume pieces, or be tempted to replace them with more recent ones, just because they look so... old. And I don't think I'll miss those versions if the same pieces with better textures are released. -

AH NUTS!!! The motes don't work when you're hovering or flying

Thanks for the heads up. A fix is on the way

On the same subject, it doesn't look like it has been said yet, but the costume change emotes don't seem to work with a stalker on hide either.
Could be working as intended as it wouldn't make much sense to do such flashy stuff while intending to remain hidden, but just in case... -

Hello all,
I haven't been able to give it a try yet, but from what I read on ParagonWiki, there are barely any "negative" effects that you can actually get from the Mystic Fortune (a small to hit debuff on The Fool, a one time damage on The Tower, and still getting a bonus on the side for both)
From the description of the power, I would have thought it to be more of a "risk taking" choice than it is (like busting those experimentation labs in the lab maps), and even if I'm not going to complain about having an easy access to small buffs when grouping, I can't help feeling a bit disappointed by that. -
Even if many have gotten used to the "jump ahead and hit", that sure is gonna make things more interesting for melee chars!!!!
Thanks!
