I really like the event..very cool. SOmething different. After..4 runs, got some hints for the badges.

Ninja Monkey. As soon as the Minotaur/Frank dies, all gather near a gate. This seems to focus the spawns, and allow for max aoe carnage.

Perfect Hitter, part 2. Talk to the Dishelved Drifter, balf guy in the green coat. He is to the right of the room.

Perfect Grifter, part 2. (havent done it myself, info from a friend).flirt, then crass comment then crass comment til she walks away
then golden, then payout/jackpot then security

The others..anyone want to add info?

Question about the Overwhelming Proc. The text says..that is has a penchant for the dramatic... What does this mean exactly?

No... no, that's not quite it.

This enhancement has a bit of an easter egg attached to it...

You mean people on the internet complaining about how Hollywood never comes up with anything original any more?

So is it purely graphical or is it an actual damage proc explosion? :>

Had this happen once. Ran it five other times fine.

It's a bug. Sometimes they aren't even apparent until you have this many people running it.

Deal with it.

Perfect Thief seems relatively straightforward. Gather all of the items in the first heist.

Then maneuver through everything on the second and open the vault once the grifter has done his job.

I basically fell into that one.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

I would like to thank the Developers a moment for throwing four to five Archvillians against four players, a convoluted set up that requires no one to DC and attacks that can two-shot brutes. Thank you for not wanting me to ever do events ever again.

Still here, even after all this time!

I will admit..it can get pretty hard. One av has a huge mag stuff..but in direct counter to your point..my team had a person quit right at the start, and killed them all with little worry. I can definately see a team on unprepared lowbies going crazy though.

Only two things that "bother" me about the Summer event.

The whole Casino 'movie' and if someone dc's then...well, you're out of luck.

Was mentioned in testing that there needs to be some way to have someone do that person's job or something...

As far as the AVs...in the Coliseum I don't see much of an issue (just did it with my regen brute and no huge hits that I took).

The only AV I don't care for is the 1st AV you fight in the Casino movie. Suzy? is her name I think. She just takes waaaay too long to take down compared to the other 2 AVs at the end of Casino.

I'm guessing she's just an invuln so therefore has higher resists but...ugh...yeah, one time on beta it took a good 5 or so minutes to take her down; the other 2 AVs? easy, peasy.....so yeah, some tweaking could be done.

You can also send team invites during the event.

On one of the runs I was on this evening, we lost one to a DC, and kicked a door-sitter, adn had to duo Frank and his dogs, but then a 3rd player was invited for the finale.

You don't fight four to five AVs at once. You only ever fight one at once; the rest are always EBs or lower.

This. I ran the event 4 times today on 4 different characters- A lvl 50 Peacebringer, a lvl 50 Claws/DA Brute (both without purples and very few bonuses exemping down that low,) a lvl 30 Dark/Dark Defender and a lvl 30 Dark/Rad Defender (both on SO's.) I died one time out of all the runs on the first Defender, and that was my fault because I over aggroed. I don't remember more than one AV spawning at a time at any point...

Every time I ran the event there was always at least one non lvl 50, and I think there were 2 or 3 max total defeats for our teams across all the runs. we even got either all or most of the badges every time with minimal effort. I think it's odd that people would think it was too challenging, but I guess that's COH for you.

Is it directed by Michael Bay?
