It seems that we are still having problems with this. I would very much like to use my new slots now.
Yup, same thing happened to me too, this is kinda annoying, was about to make a new alt. No purchase options, and my extra slots are all poof.
I didn't think about until now, when I for the first time wanted to redeem a extra slot. All the new UI buttons on the character screen are gone. If' there's a problem, it's still there.
I hope there wasn't a time limit on the free extra slots...?

I didn't realize this problem was still ongoing. I just lost a slot on Freedom. I just wanted to make a different character, so I deleted one of mine. That slot became unavailable, unstead of offering to Create Character. I went to Protector to delete a character, and didn't have the same problem.
Definitely a problem with extra slots, not with normal slots.
Perhaps a workaround might be to move a slot to one of the first 12 (on the first page), before deleting.
edt: nope, that doesn't work. I moved a character in an extra slot to position 4 on my list, deleted him, and yet again had a new Unavailable slot created. So I just lost a total of two slots on Freedom.
My in-game name is @Rooftop Raider, if that helps.
I'm becoming quite annoyed with this whole thing. I haven't had my money for close to 6 hours and I still can't access the slots, yet I haven't gotten my money back. I wish a red name would say or do something before we all have a nervous breakdown.
Sunday, June 22 7:15am. Didn't notice this bug until I logged in after work last night. Have 4 extra vet slots, 3 of which I've already added to the Justice server. I deleted 2 toons to make alts only to have them come up unavailable. I also do not have the store icon. Please fix this bug asap!

Lost all extra slots on champion and all other servers.
also lost the rename/move character buttons.
Just tossing in the fact that I lost all 5 of my extra slots (they were empty at the time) on Victory as well as the store button. Tried logging in/out both to the login screen and to the desktop. No joy.

Ditto here, I had 1 open extra slot on 1 acct and 2 on my other.. all are gone now.

I just made room for another slot about 2 or 3 days ago. Lost that slot. I deleted my level 28 VEAT to make room for something that I would actually play, log on this morning and that slot was gone.
Didn't happen to me the last time this appearently happened, but now my store buttons and open slots are gone.

I thought this issue was fixed? I'm missing my slots on both accounts as well.

ditto! I have lost 4 slots on Victory. I even deleted an unused toon to create a slot and lost that one!

Same here. Lost two on Virtue just now. Also missing the buttons to buy/place free slots.
To be fair I was the first to post about to day in this thread, and that was only 6 hours ago on a Sunday morning. It's only 8AM for them, they probably aren't even up yet.
My first short story (detective fiction) came out in Jan-2012. Other stories and books to follow, I hope. Because of "real writing". COH was a big part of that happening.
...but our MONEY is already in their BANK...
Things to remember:

Also having this problem. Missing 2 slots on Victory. No store button on the UI.
Im having this problem as well. I deleted a character, and instead of the slot becoming open, it became unavailable.

My three slots on freedom and two on virtue are all gone to this day. I wanted to make a new character on freedom tonight but no dice. I ahd two freebes and three vet slots. please fix this... again...
P.S. just noticed my buttons for buying slots and the nc store are gone now too... sigh please get a handle on this.
