Quote:What she said!I am going to make a character there just for the sake of being able to get ANY name I want. I will go for the prize stuff, but I don't see myself playing there often. It might be a place for 50s I don't play much to go... since we get free transfers monthly.

Quote:Nope. Checksum rebuilt, files verified, still a crash on Contacts.Sure sounds like a corrupted file to me. You might try this:
1. Go to your CoH folder, find the coh.checksum file and delete it. Close Explorer.
2. Go to desktop and click on your CoH launcher. Let the files rebuild themselves. Close launcher when it's done.
3. Defrag.
4. Click on the CoH shortcut again, and verify files. When it finishes, try and start your game. -
Hello All,
After a long break I decided to get back into COX before the Incarnates release. I just got a new Alienware system with a GTX 580, downloaded the game and, after debugging a few things with the alienware skin, got it to work.
Heres my problem: Anytime I so much as move any slider or control in Ultra mode, COX locks. I have to reboot into safe mode, go reset some basic graphics and start over. Also, no matter what mode I run in (even SAFE mode), if I click on the "contacts" tab, I get a little, itty, bitty version that seems like it wants to come up, but then the whole thing locks again.
All my NVIDIA drivers are up to date 266.58, and I am running win7.
Any clues? -
Actually, I ended up getting the flu about the same time, so I just puttered around until I got to level 10. Feeling better today (and back at work), so I should be on tonight.
Quote:Did a bunch of you form a legion Blushield or were you looking to join one?
I spent the first 3 days getting our legion set up and my crafting stuff going so I've had little time for anything else. Once our forums are up and running I'll be able to organize more info soon. Up until now, I have not had time to all our CoH friends on Aion.
...basically I've been having too much fun -
Cool, I'm Blushield on Israphel
-
I'm planning on getting back into Aion during the "Head Start" phase on Sunday. I pre-ordered and got into one of the betas and really liked it. Be sure to post where the Victory folks end up, I'll be sure to join the server.

Anyone else find this event's implementation odd?

maybe they are taking names so they can give us all a present! Like that deposed Nigerian Prince said he would after I gave him similar info.
I hope my present gets here soon... -

When a business/person 'drops off the planet' more than once, you can vastly increase your expectation that it will happen again.

agreed. I pulled my 2 commissions, and I think a few others have as well, so that may be why the queue looks different. I figured there might not be time between now and the next time the site goes dark for him to finish them, so getting my money back is the best course of action.
Once I get my refund, I'll find another artist for the pieces and hopefully have better luck. -
Yeah, I saw that. Frankly, after 2 years of being jerked around, I've lost my enthusiasm for my order. Since I put my original order in in August of 2006, they have gone through at least two "rebirths". During each lots of promises get made, a little bit of art gets done, then 3-4 months later, more silence, followed later by the same cycle.
I'll pass on this round.
