Rage Against the Rikti-Squadron Registry: Victory
Maybe it's just me, but it feels like something is missing cuz I'm a little confused.

I "think" it's part of a Dropship Server Challenge event set for this weekend. Basically they're trying to organize the severs to take out drop ships during this weekend's Rikti invasion.
It is better to ask forgiveness than permission.
Wait, that's possible? I thought they had buffed those things like crazy so they were nearly impossible to take down. Are they doing something with this event to change that? All I know is my blasters aren't getting near one of those things normally.

Yep it can be done but it takes a boatload of people. They buffed the drop ships by making them immune to holds and slows (the video was shot on test and you can see they stopped the ships completely.)

Tuesday I was coming out of a mission right into the middle of an invasion. Nice that they get around to telling us now that the invasion is live. (We kicked their a$$ btw.)

So let's say they are part of the same thing; I shouldn't have to dig around for infomation about what is going on *shrug* I don't read the event section for a reason: If it isn't posted specifically on the server I play on, I don't care.
And what does origin/SG rank have to do with anything?

Did they ever? I thought the reward was "Yay, we took down a dropship!'

I too am confused about the relevance of Origin and SG rank over something like.. I dunno... AT and Powerset.. but that could be due to my void of understanding of RP..

This would be a whole lot more fun-sounding if it waited until I13 when:
1. Jet pack vendors exist to help those without fly attack ships
2. Dual builds exist so people could spec into fly on a second build
Oh well. I am willing to help out if I am online when people are trying.

I agree with Hippy and Ryxx on this. For one, everyone has to be a flyer or have a pack or on team with group fly, which really limits who can participate. And why does origin, SG and rank even matter. I would rather know what the AT and powers are.

Im thinking its so overworked because they realized noone was doing it anymore and are trying to make it happen again. However I think the registry is a pretty lame way to start this. If people wanna do this they can just do it, nothing is holding them back. But I see that alot of Victory thinks its as useless/lame as I do from reading here and on global channels about it.
