I lost three slots too, on Virtue. They were all vet rewarded slots. I'd probably be upset if they'd been slots I paid for.

I'm pretty sure this will be dealt with soon, though.

I lost four free slots that I had available but did not use. 2 were the free slots given to everyone and 2 were the vet reward slots.

Methinks once they replace all the lost slots, compensation for the inconvenience could come in the form an another free slot for all. After all, some of these lost slots were paid for. NCSoft has their money, but some people no longer have their slots. I'm sure it will get fixed, but just how long it will take...who knows.

You guys need to take a deep breath and put away your s and s. This is all probably just a small side-effect of the purchase options being disabled on Test. It will probably all clear itself up when they reenable purchasing. And even if it doesn't, do you really think the devs are just going to be all, "sux2bu" and not fix it ASAP?

I'm pretty sure everyone knows the matter will be fixed. But its good that people are reporting it. Someone was bound to.

We are also missing slots but I agree its probably because the store options are missing. However sending petitions and posting it here is a good idea IMHO, they can't fix what they don't know about

I doubt any slots are actually lost, looks like they just reverted to a character selection screen that doesn't know about additional slots at all.

Since they're uploading a new build to TC today, I'd say 50-50 whether they try to emergency patch this or just roll it into the next patch.

If they don't know it's happening, then some of the grumpy faces are warranted. It seems obvious to me to have someone keep an eye on the forums after any patch. Should be standard business practice.

Same here, 4 slots not showing up for me.. Look foward to hearing when the fix will be up.

Ive got it!(half of it anyway) Just tried to log in to manage my account at NCsoft, and its undergoing maintenance.

Dont they handle the transactions for srever transfers, renames and character slots?

That would at least explain why we are unable to buy anything, but doesn't explain why unlocked slots are being locked again.

Oh, that makes sense...

As for re-locking slots, it might make sense if the system is set to not let you create any characters over 12 unless it can confirm with the account database that you have the free slot.

Bummer...i have same problem....deleted a toon to make new one only to find slot is gone..and options too...but...i could see it being fixed by the end of the day since, well ...it is kind of a major bug....besides...they wouldnt let a bug like this go since it disables them from making more money on slots transfers and name changes

I still have "Redeem Slot: 2 Left" and the "Buy Server Transfer" and "Buy Rename Token" buttons.

Edit: Ah - read the rest of the thread FTW! Never mind.

You should not be seeing issues with this service anymore, this was due to a PLayNC publish that is now completed.

Well, my one unclaimed slot, AND 2 others I spent of Infinity Server Have all vanished!

It's 10:30 PM EST, they are still very gone.

UPDATE: after logging out and relogging my account, they have all reappeared. The issue appears to be intermittent.

The plastic tips at the end of shoelaces are called aglets. Their true purpose is sinister.

I just logged in (23-jun-08 @ 2:20 PDT) and found that every extra slot on both accounts that was available last night is now gone. I logged out and back in but there was no change.

Edit: Just logged back in and noticed that while I still don't have the extra slots I should, I also don't have the icon to open the store to buy more. Again, this is on two different accounts.

My first short story (detective fiction) came out in Jan-2012. Other stories and books to follow, I hope. Because of "real writing". COH was a big part of that happening.
