I was about this close to flipping out and permanently canceling my subscription, until it was mentioned that today is april fool's. You ever think about doing something like that for real, and you can kiss CoX goodbye.
Ok, so i got a dozen new characters I'm making based on this awesome new feature. Boffo Man, The Shluckter, The Wonderful Whammo and Soopah Kablooow. I just hope I can pay extra for this feature, that only heroes get it, and that this feature stays crunchy in milk.

This is certainly an April Fools joke, but There should be a 4th option for Sound on and Visual Sounds on. I wanna here it and see it, only because I think the graphical representation could be fun for about 10 minutes.

Honestly though, if X-Ray Eyes from the rad blast set actually announced PEW PEW LAZ0R BEAMS! every time you used it, I would laugh so hard...
Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.

I saw Batman and Robin the movie on FX last night. The one With Uma Therman as Poison Ivy. That reminded me a lot of the Adam West Batman. Colorful, Campy, a complete betrayal of the serious natur of the Batman character.. Now that I think of it, that movie would have been IMPROVED with a few well placed "Freem"s "Zatz"s or "Ka-Bam"s.. So can we get VSFX on all Joel Shumacker movies?

I think I'm going to call it...7 "I quit" posts. Some of them have been the passive-aggressive approach of "It'd be a shame if you did something so stupid that I was forced, by moral standards, to quit". Some of them have been outright "I'm quitting" posts, and one was a somewhat wishy-washy "I was mad then found out it was a joke but srsly I'll quit" post.
The latter, I gave a score of .5 to, but I'm rethinking. Here's a player who KNOWS IT'S A JOKE and is mad anyway, with one finger hovering over the "cancel account" button. Khrul, you're my favorite so far. Hugs to you, dude.
The other .5 score went to a poster who said that he almost quit before he realized what day it was, but he now just thinks it's funny he was gotten so good. There will be no appeal of this .5 score.

Hopefully we'll get info on VEATs this Thursday, but they have already announced one i12 tidbit this week, in the form of the improved character creator, so we might not get anymore until next week.

NCsoft NorCal is proud to announce a new feature for the City of Heroes® and City of Villains® games; that of Visual Sounds. Visual Sounds are based on the comic book staple of onomatopoeia, or the use of a word to replace a sound. Classic comic book examples are Pow and Ka-Boom! in colorful bubbles while heroes and villains are slugging it out. City of Heroes takes a huge stride forward by replacing simple sounds with the exciting new visual medium of Visual Sounds.

This is a nice new feature, but for all the effort being put into place, we need to make sure these sounds are fully customizable from the get go.
Just because one energy blaster's blast goes 'Vreem' doesn't mean my energy blast should go 'Vreem'. I might want an energy blast that goes 'Zark!', 'Gra-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow', or even, 'Ba-ritney'.
That's right. Despite the effort and time it will take, I DEMAND THAT THE DEVELOPERS DELIVER FULL POWER sound CUSTOMIZATION OR ELSE I'M QUITTING THE GAME!
Whew.... happy it's just a lame joke.
I almost canceled my account.
I believed it for a second. A second. Then I realized what day it was.
Two Announcements in one week? It was too good to be true.
