I'm suspecting quite a few by now. I mean, I'm thinking of doing an entire character based on it ... FREEM-LASS or something.
Oh you know what would be just as good for a lot of us? A macro we could hook into that clicks like a power, and (because it's visual) would apply to the "chatspam" rule and be silent for a bit if you use it too much. With these sfx on them, click "FREEM!" appears. click "PEWPEWPEW!" appears.

Even when sarcastically joking the word "ridiculous" and the phrase "Flight Poses" do not belong in the same sentence. I remember logging on to test and falling in love w/ flight posses only to have them yanked and then have to wait for months to get them. That cruel cruel tease cannot even be sarcastically compared to a harmless April fools joke. I got yer flight pose right here !

Actually; Sounds like a great SG practice. All members of the SG could have a bind to have a local "Freem" (among others) go out when they use a power! You could call the SG the "Atomic Westerners" in honor of Adam West.

This actually works out real well for me cause my GF is always sleeping and mad at me for having the sound on. Now I can at least enjoy the game. I might have to disable them when I want to take screenshots and stuff but other than that it looks cool.

Visual Sounds are based on the comic book staple of onomatopoeia, or the use of a word to replace a sound. Classic comic book examples are Pow and Ka-Boom! in colorful bubbles while heroes and villains are slugging it out. City of Heroes takes a huge stride forward by replacing simple sounds with the exciting new visual medium of Visual Sounds.

Actually, it's not a bad idea. with the visual sounds. especially for those who love roleplaying, and want to interact or create movies or other things.
Perhaps it could be looked at an 'option' for turn-on play in I15. Also, perhaps a substitution for certain sounds found in play that could be replaced by .wav files on each personal computer? Ie, instead of a world-wide substitution, there could be a 'subtitling' or 'visual' sound for those who play who are deaf or hard of hearing?
And then of course, brings in the request for certain louder-than-life sounds to be replaced by mods that are created [ie, when one hits taunt, for example, instead of a belch-like screech, the player [would hear scorpion's "get over here."]
Just a thought.
