Don't feel bad. I realized this one's a joke.... but this got me hook line and sinker. I was about to rant in the forums about it... till I read a few of the posts. But if that's not bad enough... check out the links on this page. notice that the first post is by one of the devs. Then click the three links on the dev post. This one was tame.

Wow, that's funny. Heh, the DDO devs had me going. My first reaction was "wtf is that" when I started the launcher. Read the update thing on the website and thought "cool idea, but I hate it"... Then went to respond in the forums and got rickrolled 3 times. That's when it hit me it's a joke. The CoX one, I realized almost imediatly it's a joke... Well... Actually it wasn't until I read the part about removing sounds that I realized it's a joke.

Dear gods I hope it's a joke anyway. The devs did give GMs and AVs that massive regen buff before... And ED... And the global defense nerf... Erm, I wouldn't put this past them.

Visual sounds could have a slider, like the particle slider, where far left is off, and far right is every effect gets a sound.

My very own Freem! shirt, made at Zazzle.com Cafepress really doesn't let you add text and lotsa graphics and resize and stuff. Anyway, here's the front, and here's the back. I like having the little logos on the back.

I ain't makin' a profit, so Lighthouse sez it's ok! The total for this shirt on Zazzle, using a woman's distressed t-shirt, was about $30.

I gotta agree with those that want to see this for real. If nothing else, it'd be nice to see a selection of "visual sound emotes", such as /e kapow, or /e freem, or /e bampf, and instead of just having an italicized word pop up in chat bubbles, have a big shiny graphic word pop up for a moment (only for select words though, it would get obnoxious if this just replaced chat bubbles for /emote text, heheh.

WHO CARES whether it would add to the game or not. I think just about every SS tank and brute just about messed their pants when they read about these sounds.

And my friend even suggested the size of the starburst should scale with the damage done - Knockout Blow eclipses the enemy with a huge KA-POW!

Um sure. I LOVE THE IDEA. Love that your implementing it. I am an avid comic reader. However, I wish you could give us the option one or the other (or for those with awesome pc's both). When you get 2 groups fighting a GM or worse yet, groups of MM's fighting Rikti, you already cant see anything. This just makes it worse. Still, LOVE the idea and please add it, just wish I had the choice before beginning play (or change in settings).
