Sadly, I'm way more active on the RP forums over there than I am in any RP at all here. I'm on the verge of cancelling my CoH account 'cause I just never play anymore. I had even started playing EQII to hang out with my BF, but I'm apparently still sick and tired of fantasy games and I can't get into it.

My board-name over there is also Primana, btw. Good group of people so far, with only one small posse of... Well, you know them. The HerBitchiness girl who runs around and flirts with a few guys until they do anything she says, then she's rude and snide to other people. When someone calls her on it, her little boys leap to her defense.

Anyway, they've been pretty quiet lately since a few of us went on a spree of reporting every rude, obnoxious, off-topic, nasty post they made. So it's been nice!

Now I just have to get Callie off the top of the sandcrawler without her landing on a 'friendly fire' grenade, and Paia has to put in her two cents without getting filleted by the Sith Lord on her right and while trying to pull the whole "I still feel the good in you" bit with Strife...
  2. Naja's Prime counterpart isn't a hero or villain at all. She runs a corporation. I never thought of Praetoria as Bizarro-Earth, more like "What would've happened if Statesman were a tyrant-dictator?"

I'm not in the cartel, but they think I'm cool.

Only cuz your avatar is hot.

    *ponder*

    Yep, I'm ok with that.

    The title says it all.

Now, gimme back all my stuff!

Unfortunately, it seems BigDaddy's cats ate all your stuff. Sorry.

So, is this the Coming Storm?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Doesn't look like it... surely they'd be hyping that up like mad.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Surely they wouldn't be callous enough to ramp up expectations for the ongoing plot then finish it in a paid expansion.

Frankly, I like the idea of having a nice, separate plot. Not everything has to be about the Coming Storm.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd like the Coming Storm to actually arrive.

There's a chance that Maelstrom is tied into the Coming Storm- the name has a certain link to it. Perhaps the Coming Storm is a City of Dual Pistol Blasters. Or a Battalion of Dual Pistol Blasters. :-)

    [/ QUOTE ]
If Ouroboros is to be believed, the Coming Storm is an invasion of some sort. And though we don't have all the details, it seems that it may have to do with Shivans.

    [/ QUOTE ]

"This threat... in the near future, I call it the 'coming storm.' Earth will be attacked by it, and will be unable to defend herself due to extenuating circumstances. I plan on changing that. The first step in eliminating this storm is to remove its scouts from a point in your near future. If you would be so kind as to go forward in time and help Mender Lazarus. Once they are defeated, Ouroboros will begin charting the causality wake to determine the outcome upon your time stream."

The "scouts" are Shivans who arrive in a meteor that crashes into Atlas Park.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Extenuating circumstances? ... What, like server outages?

Pilgrim: "Help Mender Lazarus Prevent Server Downtime! Quickly, @Primana! Fly to California and prevent the Network Ops Center from taking the servers down!"

    Me: *blink*

So it isn't just me? The same people which you referred to as "forumistas" are following me around agreeing with one another regardless of how idiotic it is? Hmmm.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes. In fact, the entire Forum Cartel has made it their goal to drive you from the game by contradicting everything you say on the forums. And also cutting your brake lines.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sounds like sarcasm, but the facts show that this may very well be true, aside from the break lines thing. Take a look at the forums. Most everything is griefed with lousy ratings and nearly every suggestion is flamed. Not mine, but everyones. Go ahead, take a peek.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If large numbers of people deride an idea, maybe it's not a conspiracy on the part of large numbers of people. Maybe the idea is just stupid.
  9. I've a blaster who's from Praetoria. Tyrant considers her a villain, tho she calls herself a "freedom fighter". She donned the mask when her father was executed for crimes against the state (he refused to "donate" half his company's proceeds to Tyrant's war efforts).

A friend had gone through from that world to this, and she was holding the portal open from the Praetoria side for him to go back through. Unfortunately, things went pear-shaped and she was forced to duck through to this world. She's been stuck here since, mostly trying to rebuild her tech-based weaponry and armor to a point that would let her go back to Praetoria and not, y'know, get killed the second she stuck her nose through a portal.

She'd definitely go home and kick booty!
  10. Don't you people ever need, like, Executive Assistants? Dang, man...
  11. I... will be crashing so often, my computer will be totaled. ;D So I won't be online during this thing. But it sounds like boatloads of fun, and I hope everyone has a great time! Woot! 5 years!

So... since the other thread was locked, does that mean we're allowed to goof off and B.S. in this thread instead until the servers come up? Or do we HAVE to talk about the forum issues?

    [/ QUOTE ]

*puts on his "smart, caring guy" mask*

"So. Tell me about your issues."

    [/ QUOTE ]

*dabs eyes with tissue* Well, Issue 1 was okay, I guess, with the level bump and all. And Issue 2 was good for me, 'cause I liked the badges, but then Issue 3 took away the Nazis and I don't know that things have ever been RIGHT between us since!
  13. Arc Name: The Despicable Deeds of the Hair Group for Dudes
    Arc ID: 21845
    Length: Medium
3 missions, 2 on smallish maps, the final on an outdoor map but there are no "defeat all" missions.
Levels: The Crey section (mission 2) is 35-45, but you should feel free to do it at any level that you think can handle Crey-type bosses.
    Enemy Group: Custom, Crey
Description: Amelia Kendrick, wife of Brickstown Hero contact Neal Kendrick, says her husband's been acting strangely lately and asks you to look into it.

This mission idea is based on the fact that my first 50, Nicole Brody, has always insisted that Neal Kendrick is wearing a toupee, and it's evil. EVIL I SAY!

I've had lots of crashing problems, so I haven't thoroughly tested the third mission. I do know the boss isn't correctly performing the emote I wanted him to do, but other than that it should be ok. Just read the clues, you should be fine.
  14. In the spirit of Christmas greed, is there any chance there could be a name wipe after this is over? I mean, if they check it out and still don't re-up, can we have their names?
  15. See, for me I kinda hafta know before I sign up. There's still nothing available in my area but dial-up or (worse for gaming) satellite. So if this is going to be something in-game fighting Rikti, I can't. These days, anything more than two or three people on a team causes too much lag.

But if it's something writing or on the boards, I'm game. I guess I could sign up and just not go if it's in-game, but I'd rather know.
  16. Now I can sleep. This is great, thanks so much!
  17. My very own Freem! shirt, made at Zazzle.com Cafepress really doesn't let you add text and lotsa graphics and resize and stuff. Anyway, here's the front, and here's the back. I like having the little logos on the back.

I ain't makin' a profit, so Lighthouse sez it's ok! The total for this shirt on Zazzle, using a woman's distressed t-shirt, was about $30.
  18. I think I'm going to call it...7 "I quit" posts. Some of them have been the passive-aggressive approach of "It'd be a shame if you did something so stupid that I was forced, by moral standards, to quit". Some of them have been outright "I'm quitting" posts, and one was a somewhat wishy-washy "I was mad then found out it was a joke but srsly I'll quit" post.

The latter, I gave a score of .5 to, but I'm rethinking. Here's a player who KNOWS IT'S A JOKE and is mad anyway, with one finger hovering over the "cancel account" button. Khrul, you're my favorite so far. Hugs to you, dude.

The other .5 score went to a poster who said that he almost quit before he realized what day it was, but he now just thinks it's funny he was gotten so good. There will be no appeal of this .5 score.
  19. So far, we're up to 4.5 "I QUIT!" replies, between here and the General Discussion board.

I'm... I'm so happy. The only things better than knee-jerk reactionaries are gullible knee-jerk reactionaries. And kudos to those who've had the cojones to come back and post the facepalms when they realized they've been had!

The problem is "as all the sounds in the game are being removed to make room on the players’ hard drives for the new Visual Sound graphics." I like my machineguns, claws, weapons, fireblasts sounds. I do like tue grapic sounds, but if u take away all the sounds the gameplay will become quite stupid just because "music map + visual sounds" is way too boring.
And sorry i think this idea of "taking all the sounds" was "we wont give any choice to the player, HE WILL HAVE TO USE IT" sorry guys if the Devs remove all the sounds i wont play the game, its too stupid even for human normal levels of stupidity.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This guy actually registered here to post this. This is his first post.

*starts gleefully keeping track of I QUIT posts* Just made of squirmy happy puppiness.

    LOL!

Look at all the [censored]. 1st round of Proliferation and the whine machine is cranked up to full.

Thanks Devs, sorry you have to take so much flak for making the game even better issue after issue.

Why do you think they post these things on Fridays? So they can go home and have two days for the initial wave of Doomsayers to shout themselves hoarse. By Monday, there'll be more reasonable replies showing up, people will start to consider the advantages of the new sets.

Not that there won't still be the "WAAIIIIGHHH!! LEAVING & TAKING MY TOYS!" posters, but there'll be some cooler heads, too.
