I can't believe the Devs are pulling this kind of thing. I'm illiterate, don't they take people like me into account when they create features for the game?

I'm totally quitting. And no one can has my stuf.


(Okay, it was a good joke. I actually heard that they are doing this in the future, except only for Villains.)

Ummm... I was sure this was a joke, just like most people around here...
But when I logged in earlier... it seems like the code for this somehow leaked out onto live.

Maybe it's just part of the joke... dunno...
Still sound on live, but tons of bubbles now.

I think I might quit and wait for the Pre-VS-CoH emulator. Although, they're not even including Villains, they hate them so much there too...

Oh god, I feel so damn dumb. I was reading the article, and thought 'Well, it might be cool.. but I hope its toggleable'.. and I read at the end that it will be, but the sound effects will be removed.. and I am ashamed to admit that it took me several seconds of 'They wouldn't...' to realize

I know it had to be something like a joke or something. I mean come on. They are going to give up sounds for words? While it may be cool for some for others it isnt. But what would be even better would be to have both at the same time and still have the option to disable either one. Still im glad its just a joke HAHAHAHAHA my laugh box its not borken.

Okay since when did NC Soft get bought out by Golan-Globus and the developers replaced by Joel Schumacher ("Batman and Robin"), the scriptwriters for "Superman IV", and the programmers behind Microsoft Bob and Windows ME? If I was looking for visual sounds, I would have bought Viewtiful Joe.

I am SERIOUSLY hoping someone with a red username is going to say APRIL FOOLS at the end of this whole thing.

Meanwhile... I'll just take the Battlerock Jet over to the Battlerock Cave and chill out with some Battlerock Root Beer (because anything else would be wrong) and watch the game on the Battlerock Monitors while reclining on the Battlerock Lounger. Someone fire up the "X-Signal" when we progress back to the gritty gruesome Frank Miller era.

Stupidest idea ever! I wasn't to upset when I read that you could turn "Visual Sound" off until the following line stated that all sound would be removed thus allowing "Visual Sound". What does the word "Sound" mean? The next thing you will do is remove ears from the costume build as we won't need them anymore! I really hope this is an April Fools Day Joke!

As silly as it sounds, it would be quite a fun option to have. If people want this game to be dark and gritty (ala Batman Begins and Dark Knight) the whole graphic design of the game has to be changed. Might as well havve fun with what you have.

I know it's just a joke, but that would be AWESOME as an option.

My two cents, since I don't want to read 20+ pages of replies: As silly as it is as an April Fools gag, I think it would kick all sorts of [censored] as a real feature, to have visual sound effects pop up along with the actual ingame sound effects we already have.
