I thought this was so sweet!
I had about 30 seconds of happy happy joy joy, then wondered if it could be turned off...and then I remembered what day it was.
Curse you devs!

I really hope this was a joke about the sounds being removed for Visuals. the sad thing is I would like them to put them in.. just not take the sounds they have in out..
One thing that really points out it's a joke is that they said they have the sound team working on art... the day that happens is the day microsoft stops trying to quietly become a monopoly.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the screen shots was the Batman TV series with Adam West. Pretty funny though. I enjoyed it.

sounds good for people that play with sound off... but alot of people use the sound as a marker to fire off next power.. and also it adds an element of excitement when in a big battles. lastly the comic fan will think its cool. but the action gamers might not like the idea of no sound too much.
I think it shold be 3 options for sound
1) sound on
2) sound off with visual sounds
3) sound off without visual sounds

I do not like this at all... first of all, I personally think (it is my opinion) that it makes the game a little bit too comic bookish, AND even though you can disable the visual sounds, they are taking out the actual sounds!! A big WT* to that, I love the sounds the powers make, and I hope this is just an April Fools joke because I do not like this idea, I really hope you have an option to enable and disable the sounds in the game...

EDIT*** I just read the above post, and I think that, that is a good idea. I also agree with the idea that comic book readers would like the idea, but action gamers, like me, do not like the idea of no weapon/power sounds.
Coming from Freedom Force modding background (okay it's been almost 3 years but still) I think this is pretty neat idea. I actually play without sound most of the time so it'd actually be useful to me. Sort of. :P

Are there actually people in this thread who were saying they were going to quit because of this "feature"? I read a few pages in and skipped the rest. Was going to go back and reread the rest later.
Gullible knee-jerkers. Gotta love 'em...cuz nobody else will. Although, I suppose they could come back and say they were pulling an April Fool's on all of us later.
