What would be an "epic rick roll" would be if something like this happened tomorrow:

Dont do it dude, this happened on south park and eric cartman didnt wakeup until many hundreds of years later well after the fact. So you could wake up around issue 1000 or something. Is that what you want?

Well, I wasn't whining, but I was excited to get more information on i12. I spent a good chunk of the day refreshing the front page.

Now I just feel dumb for doing that. Just a Pavlovian dog hoping for a treat.

Whatever. None of this will bring i12 any faster. They don't owe us any information. I just wish they hadn't set an expectation up. But hey, they made us feel stupid, so I guess it's a win for the marketing team, right?

I like the little story in and of itself.

Don't know if I care for it on the RP lvl tho. I think I'd still like to believe the powers have always been there, just haven't been seen yet.

That is exactly how it happened on South Park, Eric Cartman had Butters to memorize where he was but he forgot to get him and the snow covered the part where he was buried so there was no way to know for sure where he was.

To be honest, i'd have much prefered a development history of it. Would be intersting to know why it wasn't originally included in the design, what changedd and when it all happened. Essentially how it went from 'We aren't going to do it' to 'Maybe we should do it' to 'Lets do it!'.

The fictional stuff is rather contrived, because you have to make up a story excuse for something that was done for (I assume) purely non-story reasons. Not thats its bad of course.

and yeah... is it tomorrow yet?

I'm looking on the bright side here. My money had been that this week's preview would be of the Midnight Squad content, and that they were going to roll out the powerset proliferation data in waves, not all at once. So, yeah, hey, would rather have had it today than tomorrow, but the good news is, by tomorrow I'm getting a lot more info than I'd expected to get. I call that a net-positive result.
