I've been saying this since accolades came out and cant agree more.

I just recently levelled up a scrapper and was forced to engage in some serious debt capping and doing content not meant for a lvl <30 just to get all my accolades for the SC zone range. I got geas, eye of magus, portal jockey, atlas medal, freedom phalanx and elusive mind all before or at lvl 30, and I can tell you for certain it gives me a nice advantage in sirens call, one that my level 50s who were 50 before I2 can only dream of having.
This all came at the cost of alot fo time spent, alot of favors given to help me do it, and alot of content done that skipped far ahead of natural progression.
The only ones being penalized by the exemp rules are the old 50s really. Because theres alot of 30s around who did just like me more recently and got all these accolades earlier on newer characters, thus making them more powerful without justification then thier older counterparts.
Id also like to have IO bonuses not go away unless the power they are slotted in is exemped below... but thats a whole seperate issue. Both issues combined factor into making me not even want to bother "flashing back" and exemping much at all, since I already hate exemplaring as it is, thereby losing all my accolades AND my 250+ million inf worth of set bonuses on several characters...

I'm keeping my hopes up for this. I don't suppose we've ever received a response from a Red Name about Accolades and Exemplars in the past? If so, anyone recall what they've said?

which is ironic, because I'm hearing a lot about how this is unfair to those who earn the accolade late.
So we have a system that's currently unfair for everyone.
And, of course, it's unfair to those who were already a high level when the accolade was INTRODUCED. But apparently, that's just tough.

This has driven me nuts since they were introduced. The reasons given were to protect casual players, yet it penalizes them.
I'm not supporting this suggested change out of jealousy of people who have them at low levels, because I'm one of those people. I have Portal Jockey at 20 and Eye of the Magus at 25 with my favorite character, and I get them all pretty early with all the rest (none of my characters got Portal Jockey later than 38, for example).
Please make these fair and fun for the casual gamer. Let them use their accolades at all levels.

Personally, I don't care if someone else has Portal Jockey at 20. Congrats, that's impressive. but it doesn't affect me when I play.
What does affect me is the problem that *I* can't have Portal Jockey at 20.
or, more specifically, that I can't have Archmage at any level below 50, so why should my 50 bother killing all these Carnies to finish off badges?
so, yeah, jealousy shouldn't really matter.

This issue has caused me so much personal stress and anxiety I've basically stopped playing my Dark/Dark/Dark defender--at level 41. I'm just dying to get Archmagus so I can actually use it. Previously I got my first character to 50 and then collected about 5 accolades. And, as mentioned, it leaves a bit of a sour taste that I can't use my Elusive Mind power if I'm exemped at ALL. Accolades should be like inherent powers, I firmly believe.

What's funny is that my Dom is 44.5 and I'm starting to ponder whether it will take longer to just run to 50 than to wait to find a Recluse SF that will take a 45 Dom along.

I have no issues with any of the archetypes on the RSF's that I run. Every Archetype has its place and function be it active combatant or vengeance battery or healer or whatever.

Well considering that I'm bored out of my skull ATM because I decided I wanted to get the Force of Nature accolade at the lowest level possible on my current alt, I'm all for this. Farming mayhem missions endlessly is the opposite of fun, but I do like to have my accolades available for SFs, trials, and whatnot. I just don't see any valid justification for punishing people who don't have the knowledge, patience, or opportunity to farm for accolades at lower levels. Not only that but to me it's so much more satisfying to get the requirements through normal play, but as others have said you end up being punished for doing it that way.
Count me in for this change as well. The current system just makes no sense.
I'd be happy with minimum levels for accolade powers if the devs want to add them, but if that's too much work just make them always available once earned.

Yeah, I'm all for changing it. Someone who just plays the game, not reading guides of visiting forums, is pretty much screwed out of getting an accolade that would be useful when exemplaring or autoset to levels.
I don't think players should be penalized for not going out of their way to make sure they snag the proper badges first thing they do in game.

The real irony is that I'm one of those people it would be "unfair" to, and I'd like to see it changed.
I have two accounts and two computers, and can easily twink new characters to have the accolades at an early age. In fact, I now do it regularly. It's only my earlier characters who I don't have this advantage on.
Just because I can do it doesn't make me think that how things are today are how they should be. I'd rather see them work at all levels. I don't care about having this advantage over other people. I just do it because it's nice to have the powers on a lowbie. I don't care if other people get to keep them on exemplar. "Unfair" simply doesn't enter into the picture at all.

My first 50 hit 50 long before most of these accolades came out. I worked for them because when I played more regularly I was a badge [censored] like no other. But now I wouldn't waste my time getting these badges/accolades on my other toons because of this issue. Too much work for damn near nothing.
