Hey what the!
The list of the city's fallen in the sidebar includes Katie Hannon and Mikey the Ear. These guys are still in the game handing out missions, right now, right? Can anyone confirm this? Or did I miss something recently?

That is alot of names on the fallen list. Does this mean in issue 11 alot of contacts and heroes are going to die? Outbreak has mutated into some super powered version of vahz cooties?

Okay... more oddness there. The article says that in the Zig Breakout, no prisoners escaped, and that Jenkins was captured. And the details about Outbreak are... odd. Talos? Quarantined?

No no, it's the ultimate Nerf, done ingame to make it seem like it's part of the storyline, but in fact, they're nerfing zones and NPCs now that they've run out of powers to tweak.

I've got it...in I11 Nemesis, seeking to repair his shattered reputation, activates a device designed to turn back time and prevent CoV villains from ever having escaped from the Zig, thus proving to all and sundry that he is actually the true hero.
The current CoV villains exist outside of this paradoxical time-line, and need to alter events so that their escape actually occurs as planned!

Completed the "Full Alty Challenge" - level 50 in every archetype, and "Alty's Ultimate Power Challenge" - level 50 in every available powerset in the game.

No, I suspect just characters he created for the City of ______ Franchise.
And after checking, it isn't close to all of the contacts, but a very large group of them.

Something tells me that this means, "Hope that you enjoy Issue 11... it'll be the last."
The only other option is that they are going to completely replace all of the contacts with new ones with new storylines, but that would take a ton of work coding-wise; a revamp that I don't see happening in this game, especially with MUO in the works.
I'm afraid that this may be the signal to the start of the end times of CoH/CoV. It's the only explanation for such contradictory and complete revisionist storyline.

Okay, no one eascaped from the Zig, everyone who got in contact with a Contaminated may already be dead and several contacts have died from Outbreak?
So, this means... no player heroes can be sure if they're infected, no player villains escaped from the Zig, and a mysterious plague is killing off everyone else?
What's going on here?

It'd be cool if an in-game event about this DID have Contaminated all around the city (like the giant piles in Skyway, there)...and/or if it made anyone with Isolator have some sort of strong debuff applied to their character (like most of mine!)

Put me in the "alternate timeline" group, cause that's the only logical explanation I can think of. However, the nemesis autos is also an option, but wouldn't explain the lack of villain escapes. The game isn't dying, or closing down, or going away. Statesman and Positron have assured us that CoX is doing fine financially and last quater's numbers proved that.

Today marks the third anniversary of the Outbreak pandemic that has swept the city and devastated hotspots around the globe. Memorial services are being held throughout Paragon and around the country today. It was four years ago that the Outbreak virus was identified by scientists at the Rivera Medical Center to date, the plague has claimed nearly 1 million lives worldwide.
