Upwards Over the Mountain (Arctic Sun News)
My hats' off to you (My name is CaptainIntrepid, and I'm an Altaholic too.... ), and best of luck in your endevors
we will miss you, good fortume in your future stuff.
Aw. Thanks for the wonderful stories. Stay safe, be happy.
Congrats Artic_Sun! I look forward to seeing where you end up.
Of course, this means I'll have to start pestering someone else with my Paragon Times submissions, doesn't it? :-)
Take care Arctic Sun, you will be missed by many.
I remember a PM from you that helped me continue posting here on the boards when I had decided to forsake them altogether. Your write-ups are great and your demeanor shines a light on the story of the game.
Good luck in your future ventures!
This makes me sad. You have proven to be amazingly helpful over the last couple of years. Not just in the work you do on the websites, but for all the questions and things you do behind the scenes.
Storytime: One of the first times I got in touch with you was about a minute little detail regarding the exact date the Omega Team went through to the Rikti Homeworld. The website only listed "November" and I was hoping to have a memorial service event ingame. There was no answer for a couple weeks, and I kind of assumed it had gotten lost in the shuffle. It didn't bother me, because I know that isn't supposed to be a big part of your job.
Well all of a sudden there was a reply sitting in my PM box from you. It hadn't been a matter of looking up a date in the secret book or something, you had to bring it up in a meeting and a day had to be decided on. I was agog about it when you told me that it was the unofficial official day, because they reserved the right to change it if they needed to for an official publication or something, but you had gotten me the info! Call me geeky but it made my week. It's on the list of dev things you guys have done that make this place special for me, and I wanted you to know it meant a lot. I'll always remember it, and I'll always remember you.
You've been a great help to the community. You've been a great help to me. You can always write up something for the City Scoop any time you want to.
Thanks Jesse, best of luck.

Thanks for the lovely comments, guys & gals. It really means a lot.
A few things:
I've stealthily been in Toronto for (CLASSIFIED) months now, working across the web with Lighthouse and Ex Lib. I was in Austin for a year, but the north called me back. ("Winter is coming," so it has been said).
Some of the PM special requests I failed to answer, and I regret that. But I'm happy that I got to handle as many as I did.
I like to think (finally!) I did a good job of brining the Paragon Times back. Certainly there have been a lot more in recent months than in a long while (And I'm trying to write about the experience on my blog, for the curious).
And speaking of which, there will be a Paragon Times this week...
cheers,
JS
Congratulations, Jesse. You've been a fantastic addition to the City Of franchise, and I wish you the best in your future endeavors!
And like others have said, please don't be a stranger, even if it means taking a non-red name.
Sucks to see you go!! And here I figured I'd get to see ya again at GenCon next year.
But still I fear and still I dare not laugh at the madman!

Farewell! I wish you the best.
Hey, all that stuff they said? Ditto. (But with more sincerity than they said it.)
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)
You'll be missed Jesse. Hope you come out to Dave and Busters on Saturday so we can say goodbye.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
Thank you very much for your contributions to the Game Arctic Sun.
You helped bring things alive.
We've lost WAY too many good people over the years, and it's sad to see another one go.
Good luck in your new job!

You're definitely going to be missed Arctic. It was great getting to meet and chat with you at last year's Meet n Greet and you're a great guy in person, just like here on the boards. Best of luck in your future endeavors, you've got some great talent. Def stop by and say hi anytime you can. Cheers

Just watch out for those crazy Toronto Mayors and them calling in the military to clean the streets so that you can actually get to work on what should be a national snow day!
*is glad those crazy mayors are in Toronto and not the Niagara Region*
