Huh...something just shattered my sarcasm detector. Wonder what caused that?

Grrr...I went to delete an alt I didn't like but had my main selected instead. Note to self: no deleting characters before 9am.

Played for the first time as a subscriber this morning. Now I need to decide if I want to get a life-time sub or not. $200 is pretty reasonable if you think you are going to be playing for 13-14 months.

I've been having slowness in some areas (London, Sheriff's office) but seem to be ok otherwise. I may try dropping down to DX9 and see if that helps some, though I think it's just my pc being borderline ok to run the game.

It looks like the game is on sale for 29.99 on their website right now.

I played a bunch yesterday on the last day of my trial. I'm really liking the Pistols/Chaos combo. I went through the other factions intros. I liked them all and was really surprised at the consequence of picking a female character for the Dragon.

Right now I'm playing a Pistol/Chaos Templar. Like the combo so far. My altoholism is kicking in, though, and I want to go through the intros to the other factions.

I got to play a bit more last night and learned a few things:

• You can go into the Crucible a second time to get your second weapon.
• Zombies run
• Having 1-2 AoEs is important.
• I may have to buy this game.

Played for a few minutes this morning and liked what I saw. Chargen had a decent amount of options. Not as many as CoH or CO, but then again I don't expect any other mmo to be like that. The intro cut scenes were nice, though maybe a little long. I got about 1/2 of a combat in and that seemed pretty good. Hopefully I'll get more time tonight to play.

Thanks to this thread I think I'm going to give the TSW a try this weekend since I conveniently have a 3 day weekend. Been reading some of the guides, etc., and think I know what I want to start with.

Filling out one of the petitions to stop CoH being shutdown really helped me distill my feelings about CoH to this: This my first and favorite MMORPG. No other supers-based, fantasy, or sci-fi MMORPG has come close to matching how much I enjoy playing it and being a part of its community.

Wow. This is my first MMO and the game I've played the longest. Actually, this is tied with game I've played the longest. The honor is shared with Warmachine. City of Heroes it what I've turned to when I'm sick, can't sleep, excited about playing a super hero... Though I mainly lurk in the forums, I really like the community here. It is what has made it hard to get into any other MMO outside of the pure awesomeness of CoH. It has been a great experience, and though I knew it wouldn't last forever, it is a shame to see it end like this.

Cool! That's a great central location. Ironically this is the one year we didn't get into Downtown Marriott. O.o I probably won't be able to make it until after 8pm (doing the ShadowRun Scramble).

Hyperstrike, TexasJustice, thanks for the info on OEMs. I was looking to purchase Windows 7 in the near future and you've assuaged my concerns about going OEM. Thanks!

PS: Hyperstrike, is there going to be a GenCon M&G this year?
