Poll: What do you like most?

- It's a superhero game
- The combat engine
- The ability to solo when I want

- The storyline hey that's on the list! I can stop here.
And after that comes Villain Group... there's nothing quite like beating down Nazis.
Apologies for the lift, but it's too perfect to resist.
For me its the storyline. Sure the storyline may be the same for every charecter I make but that first time through its great reading each clue and discovering the secrets of Paragon City. Best case in point for me was discovering the Ritki's secret.
It's all about the storyline. Without the story, a game is just Dungeon Hack.

Storyline, all the way.
1) Character Customization.
This includes the Costume Creator (which I voted for) as well as the ability to slot your powers in the order you like and with enhancements that focus your character's power sets.
2) Storylines.
I've been playing since just before Issue 2 and I am still finding little story gems I've missed here and there. One of my favorites? The Wheel of Destruction storyline.
It was a hard choice, well not really, but it came down betweem Costumes and Story. I went with costumes in the end.
Costumes. They help us create the particular type of character we want to interact with the story, in PVP, etc.
You know what I hate the most? When costume items get needlessly changed or removed from the game. Had to say it.
Hehe poor bases, still no votes.
If personal housing was in the game (not my own room in a SG base, my own base all by itself) that would have been my choice though!
(Assuming it was done well of course)
Edit: Theres one! Who did it? Show yourself! We know it was you Statesman!
@Bengal Fist - Freedom - Authority SG
Bengal Fist (SS/EA) - Thirt3en (Time/Elec) - Aussi (Elec/Shield) - Potamoi (Water/Time) - Parkr (Staff/Ela)

Grey, I completely agree with your comments, only in reverse order. It was a VERY tough call. The costumes are fantastic, but the story line is fun. Yeah, there are elements that desperately need updating, but even after a year of playing I still find surprises. So by a VERY close margin I voted for story.
Storyline 100%

Well, I voted for story line, cause they made me choose just one... but I also love Costumes & Badges.
Costumes. This game allows you to express your creativity and individuality like no other game can.

At the risk of derailing the thread, does any other MMO out there have as much of a focus on the storyline? I haven't played many other MMOs, but City of Heroes' fixation on plot development seems much stronger than I remember from DaoC and is far, far beyond anything I encountered in SWG.
Anyhow: costumes crammed the hook in my mouth, but it was the storyline focus of the gameplay that reeled me in.
Costumes and the Storyline are very close for me from this list. I voted for Storyline because it's always getting wonderful additions.
Costumes have a LOT going for them as far as variety goes but recently, especially since the slider additions, they have become really very buggy. I am constantly finding old costumes shuffled or even parts removed from the game which I HATE and don't understand especially sincemany new pieces seem less streamlined/more buggy.
Despite the many costume flaws the great number of choces and overall quality as well as continued additions almost got me to vote for them as my favorite aspect.
Thanks for this poll. I always love it when developers use polls to gauge the players opinions.

Everytime I see one of these polls I think to myself:
"The dev team must have sat down today for a brainstorm session of what to schedual for next year, after coming up with a ton of ideas none of them could decide on which was best. Matt offered to flip a coin and Jack suggested a round of D&D to decide the winner. But the team couldn't even decide on what to use as the tie breaker either. Hence the poll."

My vote goes for when in-game dialogue can make me laugh
I picked the storyline, although if powersets were up there, I would've gone with them.
I won't be a part of your system!
I'm sure there's something I like better, but from the list?
All about the costumes, baby!

My vote went to storyline. For me it's not always the big arcs that hold my attention. Some of the smaller stand alone missions are priceless.
Edit: Oh, and the dialogue. Some of the things the NPCs say crack me up.

PvE combat personally but chose storyline since it fit the best.
Costumes are ok but I don't cry over changes to costumes like some others do.
This space is intentionally left blank.
I'd have picked PvE or Powersets/FX in a heartbeat. Storyline was the closest I could get. I LOVE widgeting with my characters, trying out different builds and tactics. PvE FTW!
Rrr, come on you costume fans! Vote! What is this? Storyline in the lead? Phaw!

Indeed!
It's a bit of a toss-up for me as well.
I like the costumes, the storyline and the PvE combat more or less equally well.
PvE wasn't an option, so that's out. Story vs. costumes? Well the thing about I8 that I look forward to the most? Wings. Sure, New Faultline is nice, but... I want wings more.
So I chose costumes. After all, being a CoH style Hero is about fighting evil and looking good while doing so.
PvP isn't really my style, and badges? They're nice and all, but not that nice. I won't grind for badges, if I get one it's because I earned it through playing.

I'd have to say the entire character generator (not just the costumes), which allows us to realize an amazing variety of character concepts.
After that, I'd have to go with the various enemy groups. I find the game setting itself kind of meh (especially when tackled in media outside of the video game), but I loves me many of the NPC factions and their Story Arcs.
