I really can't see them requiring Jail Bird or Destined one as a requirement for anything.

Destined One is only available to COH DVD owners and Jail Bird is the Isolator of COV. Requiring EITHER of those badges for anything would exclude a good percentage of players/charecters from ever earning the accolade as you can't go back and get them after charecter creation.

I'm seeing a trend here.
- run a whole TF
- run a Respec
- die and gain enough XP for a debt badge
These are all things that require *playing* the game. These are not badge requirements that your level 50 SG friends can teleport you to, or quickly herd for you while you sit at a ferry.

Coincidence? or conspiracy?


The only problem is that a Strike Force is terrible for a casual player - they'll likely never be able to get that accolade.

So one of these is ALSO a prerequisite for Megalomaniac. This explains the people who had Crystal Keeper but didn't get the badge.

My guess would be that Strikebreaker is the other trigger. I doubt it would be a gladiator, or Destined One, or Jail Bird (yikes!).

It might be Kil Skuls. I will go PM the person and ask them to get Kil SKuls and Strikebreaker, one at a time. Time for someone else to do the researching now.

As a wild guess, maybe the badge requires you to have completed ALL Accomplishments prior to I7 - from Bone Collector right through to Crystal Keeper?

In any case, when I picked up Meg I got the power as well, but when I first logged in and got HPT I didn't get the HPT power. Weird. Someone needs to sort out these Accolade powers.

Dolly, you were right about Strike Breaker, and Last Stand...They are both needed.

On one copy of my toon I did not have Strike breaker, but I did get Last stand...and got no Megalomaniac.

When I read the possible triggers, I went on live and got a bud to help me get Strike Breaker. I copied back to test, went to RV and to Last Stand, and I got Megalomaniac.

So since I did not get it on the toon that had Last Stand and not Strike Breaker, and since the toon that had Strike Breaker from the start did not get Megalomaniac until getting Last Stand, then they both must be needed.

Oh and for the record...I have Crystal Keeper. And I agree....sigh.

I found a problem with the High Pain Threshold Accolade. I have the badge but I don't get the 10% boost that I am supposed to. I don't have the auto power marker and I compared the hp from my live character with that of the test server character they are the exactly the same. Is this is a bug or am I just a moron?

At least it's not the worst SF in the game. It moves at a decent speed, you can all get a Temp Phase power before hand, and it helps fill your XP bar when you realize there's nowhere near enough missions in existence to get you to 40.

The problems with this being a requirement are:
1. time needed in a single large block.
2. the SF itself isn't very profitable. Compare it to the Sharkhead SF which has 3 AVs, so you come out of it with at least 4 SOs. The Cap SF has 2 AVs but only takes about 50 minutes. Yes, this accolade is now a new form of profit, but the SOs will help you get people to run it again, making it easier to get teams.

on the bright side, you need to be 40 for the badge in RV. That was wise. That saves us from a flood of 35s wanting to LK for the SF to get the accolade at 35. You can do the SF at a reasonable level and still have the accolade as soon as possible.

I ran the Radio's Outbreak mission yesterday. Wow talk about a succesful job at recruiting longbow! In any case, the badge didn't award upon completion. Normally awards at "mission complete". This time it awarded when I exited. I've done the other PO badge missions and those awarded correctly.

Does anyone know if the badge graphics have been updated? or are they still out of whack? (meaning 3 badges all have one dot on it...unlike CoH where the badges are "progressive") [I logged right after the mission and forgot to look]

Sounds like the Plague Carrier badge now awards at the absolute end of the multipart mission, not at the "mission complete" for part 2.
I wonder if this is related to any of the issues with XP awards for 2-part missions.

By the way, when Issue 7 arrives it will be quite possible for any semi-dedicated player to hit 200 badges!

My estimate is that pre-Issue 7 you'll need about 165-170 badges to be able to hit 200 quickly when I7 hits.

Having said that, collecting 165 isn't exactly easy, but it is doable if you spend a week or two badge hunting as a 40.

There are still 2 sets of each of the stature badges. And there is still a grafical bug, cause the green/red badge with 1 dot is doubled, but the one with 2 dots is missing

The other nice thing about Ice Mistral's SF is the interesting temp power that the leader gets upon completion of the last mission. By the time everybody in the group has it, you'd probably all have more than enough debt to have Deathless for you other accolade!

There is explration badge in each Mayhem instance of the Paragon City zones. Only villains can get those, as they can only be gained during Mayhem Missions.

The Atlas Park badge is called "Global Threat" and is located on a sidewalk directly in front of the Zone Entry Drop-Off point

I don't know if /loc works consistently in mayhem zones, (testing that when I get the chance) but if it does, the King's Row mayhem exploration badge is at -247.2, -42.0, -2518.2
If it -doesn't-, it's in a little open area west of the bank building.

Accolade Task Force Commander problem.

I made six copies of my tanker to test before the friday freespec. out of the 6 only 2 have received the +5% HP buff icon. The others got the messages, badge and shoulders but no icon.

Did you happen to turn off the icons for auto powers? I did that on my SR and was wondering where the heck my passives went and then *LIGHTBULB* hey maybe I turned them off

They do. www.vidiotmaps.com 's forums have an almost complete list of /loc for the mayhem explore badges. Only one we are missing is the lvl 20-25 instance, which is in Steel Canyon. We spent over an hour and a half searching with no luck.

Already checked for that and nope. It is the only icon/buff that wont show even after zoning or logging. The HP wont apply so even if turned off the HP should still be applied.

Wow, do I have issues with the badges in this...

Let's start off by haphazard badge awarding again. The long-overdue "defeat signature heroes" badges are finally in, but despite the fact that my villainous main has offed Back Alley Brawler and Black Scorpion, I've received the badges for neither of them. Apparently, they only count if they happen in an alternate timestream, despite no mention of that requirement anywhere in-game. This is especially aggrivating, since people will need to have confusion on them repeatedly to take out "their" side's characters for these badges.

My main villain has 198 badges live. I know people who've got over 210. None of us got the villainous equivalent to Atlas Medallion when we logged into test, despite this being a badge commonly awarded to heroes around 25-30 in range, when PvP should be a consideration.

Several rare groups aren't in CoV in significant numbers, despite giving up badges. Illusionist, Weatherman, Revealer, Zookeeper, and possibly Visionary take inordinately long stretches to grab, for no other reason than because they only show up a few at a time, in a very few missions or rare outside spawns. Worse still, Capbuster's still got a tracking bar, and while the devs could have thrown us a bone by making a Mayhem mission in Croatoa, they evidently chose not to. Given that the only reason this is a grind is because Posi apparently purposefully made it that way, I've got to confess my severe disappointment. All of these mobs are relatively common hero-side, but villain-side it takes large groups weeks at a time to grind out the badges.

And, of course, we get to the coup de grace on badges in this set: Isolator. I won't indulge in inflammatory or superlative text here, I'll only point out to Posi that people agreed to a difficult task to get Isolator, but you've given them a long, easily-griefable grind instead. There's a wide difference there, and honestly, I think you should reconsider your implementation of this.

People are still figuring that out. From what I understand though, the ones that have been confirmed are as follows.

High Pain Threshold -
Deathless (4th debt)
Locked & Loaded (exploration)
Gangbuster (kill Marcones)
Technofreak (history)

Demonic -
Overlord (exploration)
Coldhearted (kill certain CoTs)
Soul Taker (mission)

Megalomaniac -
Last Stand (exploration)
Crystal Keeper (strike force)
Strike Breaker (mission)

As far as I've seen that's all that's been confirmed so far. Anyone have any other input?

I ran the "Stop Circle Rituals" mission which summons Baphomet and did not get the Demon Slayer badge. Details: Level 40 Brute, solo, set on villainous so Baphomet was a level 40 elite boss.

I have been sitting on this mission on both my 40 corruptor and my 40 brute waiting for the bug to be fixed. While I have heard you can get the badge by petitioning the GMs, I would rather not pester them if I can get the badge the right way when I7 goes live.

Edit: One thing I did notice that seemed different about this mission: this time I had to clear all 10 rituals to start the sequence of ambushes. I have run this mission several times on test after patches to see if the badge was fixed and before this run I always triggered Baphomet before I completed the mission.

He no longer allows you to take the missions. So if you want to farm it, now is your time.

have you tired relentless setting yet or a full team. maybe you need him to be AV status or GM to get the badge. i have the mission on a mm and will try this out later
