1. Yes Ladies (ok fine and gents too) Salsero is once again in your midst and is ready to get this party started. I am LOVING all the changes to CoX and just can't get enough of the new stuff. I however am very very very much behind the times with no Oroboro BAdges or even an inkling of Incarnates.

So that being said, I am usually on late night (about 11pm EST give or take) and would love to get a group together to clean up some old missions maybe go through some Oroboro stuff, heck I even have the Firebase Zulu stuff still to do.

And of course Trials/Raids. So post away and hope to see you on!

Anyone have the numbers on what they do?

Yes they are 2, 45, 32, 17, and 25 witht the Megaball 27
3. Thrilled to be part of this community and to continue my efforts in bringing Guardian together. I was so happy to have Nurse Misty come aboard as well.

Here is to more fun and more events!

4. That is an unbelievable story!! Thank you for sharing!!
5. Let me look into a few things that I've seen recently and try to determine what it can be and I'll get back to you.
6. Putting in multpile attack sequences to one key does kinda break the EULA that is why I don't post "how to's" on the subject.

The thing about the profile "deactivating" while zoning and then having to alt-tab to fix is a random occurance. It only happens to me when I load the game (and that means everytime I load the game) but usually I only need to do it once.
7. Wow...those overlays are nice...gonna try to find the right stock for it
8. The amazing artwork is not what has me amazed, it's the fact that he has done work for MTG (which I noticed immediatley as the first thumb image on his main page) I will pay particular mind to my collection looking for him now

Outstanding!
9. Well I know the game only registers keybinds of 2 strings not 3.

Try putting on the g1 key : ctrl+q
Then make the bind: /bind ctrl+q "emote sit$$local My legs hurt"

see if that works.
10. Dragon...will have to look into that...

Shorty...let me play with the command to figure out why it is not working (I use Herostats to copy my chat and rewards log) so bare with me whilst I experiment.
11. I don't think it will work as you described. First, make sure the assigned macro function was saved onto the CoH profile (I mention it because I've made that foupaux myself). Second assign a keystroke a function like "emote sit" and then press the gkey and see if that works.

I actually tried this on my character...it seems the system doesn't register a difference between rctrl and lctrl. I figured since it distinguishes between lshift and rshift that it would apply the same to the other keys....unless I am mistaken about the shift keys as well...hmm need to test that tonight....

[/ QUOTE ]

Tested...rshift and lshift are not distinguished either...so there ya go

14. Is the problem on the text file or the keyboard?

Or when you download what the games has as binds it shows ctrl+x instead of rctrl+x?

If it is the latter, review your text file. If that is correct (rctrl+x) Do a bind reset, and then reload the text file. Mind you that will reset wvwrything (including binds you might have done long ago that you may not be aware are there but still use)

I will check my bind file at home and see what it says just to compare...so hold off on the reset until I can confirm a problem otherwise.

Thanks

15. It is not the case, it is the font.

Look t the fonts. The first to lines have a different "look" even if it appears to be the same. (The quotes on the first to are curved and the other two are straight lines)

instead of cut and paste, actually type out the string from scratch.

For the other question about typing /emote, the response was correct. When writing a bind you do not use the slash command (that is only in game). Not sure if just using the 'e' in a bind will work, for example:

/bind numpad0 "e victory"

Maybe, but I usually type the full command to prevent any quirks in the system reading the command wrong.

So to reiterate mez, instead of pasting the string actually type it out. In fact use a blank notepad to type it all up. This way you can be sure you get the same uniform font on the entire set of strings.
16. Just looking at the above post I can see why it doesn't work:
[ QUOTE ]

Rctrl+q “powexec_name Sprint”
Rctrl+w “emote bow$$local, Hello $target, I am $name. A Level $level $origin $archetype ready for battle”
rctrl+e "emote yoga"
rctrl+r "emote bow"
rctrl+t ""
rctrl+y ""
rctrl+u ""

[/ QUOTE ]

If you look carefully, you can see that they are 2 different fonts. The first 2 (the ones you are having trouble with) are not Lucida Unicode. Make sure the entire text is the same font...

(Lucida Unicode - Regular - 10)
17. ok...I got the answer and you are going to laugh.

The string works fine as written, however you can't cut and paste from the board to the text file. It seems the font it pastes onto notepad is not liked by the system. (it should be Lucinda Console [by default] not times).

Reopen the text file, do ctrl+a (to highlight the entire text) click on format>font. Change it to Lucinda Console and save it. Reload it in-game using the /bindloadfile. It should work then.
18. Sorry Mez...haven't had a chance to look over it (on my side here it looks like it should work) but there must be something I am overlooking as well. I was in recovery this weekend form a minor surgery I had done this past week. I should be online tonight (albeit late) through wednesday (for the Wed. Hami Raid ....shameless plug, I know...). I will have an answer for that soon.

As for the other request about auto targeting, it can't be done without possible EULA violations, plus the macro would be very very long....sorry
19. All right let me run through the process as it is supposed to be done and you then tell me if you did everything exactly the same (only exception would be to sub the file location. I am using default C drive).

1. Create a folder on your C drive named “g15binds” . Example C:\g15binds

2. Open notepad and cut and paste the command list:
[ QUOTE ]
rctrl+q
rctrl+w
rctrl+e
rctrl+r
rctrl+t
rctrl+y
rctrl+u
rctrl+i
rctrl+o
rctrl+p
rctrl+[
rctrl+]
rctrl+\
rctrl+a
rctrl+s
rctrl+d
rctrl+f
rctrl+g

[/ QUOTE ]

3. On the first line (rctrl+q) type “emote yoga”

4. On the second line (rctrl+w) type “emote bow$$local, Hello $target, I am $name. A Level $level $origin $archetype ready for battle!”

5. Put “” on all the other unused strings.

6. Save the file as “Hero1” (or name of your choosing)
IMPORTANT: Do not save the file as Hero1.txt as this will cause the full extension to be “Hero1.txt.txt”. In other words, if you look for this saved file in windows explorer, it should have the notepad icon and the name “Hero1”. If it shows “Hero1.txt” as the label, remove the ‘.txt’ so only the label Hero1 shows.

7. Open your G15 Keyboard profiler.

8. Make sure that the City of Heroes Profile is selected before you assign keystrokes.<ul type="square">a. Make sure “M1” is selected
b. Right click on the G1 button
c. Select “assign keystroke”
d. In the pop up just press the right ctrl button and q. The window should display: Right CTRL + Q (may be small caps)
e. Select OK or assign (don’t remember which but you get the point )
f. Your G1 key under the CoH profile should now read Right CTRL + Q
g. Repeat for G2 (assigning rctrl+w)
9. Exit the profiler

10. Load CoH<ul type="square"> a. The G15 LCD should blink and read:
Profile Activated
City of Heroes
11. Once in game, if you have not already done so, create the G15 Macro:
/macro G15 “bindloadfile c:\g15binds\hero1.txt”

12. The grey generic G15 macro button should appear on your tray.
<ul type="square"> a. Click it
13. Press the G1 key and you should sit yoga style

14. Press G2 and you should bow.

That is step by step on how it works. Remember, you only need to set up the G15 CoH profile once. You then alter the text file and save it for each toon (loading each one individually when logged on as that particular toon).

Try it again and let me know. I reiterate, follow each step. Don’t assume you already did one of the steps and then find you were simply overlooking one. Any questions feel free to PM me. I am willing to log on to your server and help you out.
20. Ok...I read over the posts and the guide and I see where there is a bit of confusion.

on the G15 profiler, where you assign the g keys, on each G button you have to choose "Assign Keystroke" not "Assign Macro". When you you use "assign Keystroke" a window pops up. in that window just hold the rctrl and the corresponding key (i.e. rctrl+f) . The window should show "Right Ctrl + F" . Click OK and then the keystroke on G1 should be listed.

Remove the named "hello" macro and use the "assign keystroke" option. Try that and let me know.
21. I just got back from some medical time off...running through my threads...let me work on it an I'll get back to you

23. Sun...we have friends in Canada too ...eh

SO SPILL IT!!!!
24. From what I gathered from it is:

1) It seems the contaminated will filter in small groups around select zones in both sides of CoX. Thus making the badge attainable for past heroes who did not have the opportunity for it and for villains to now attain it. (i.e. City Sewers, hanging out with Lost...and "heading to Sharkhead Isles")

2) Maybe the loss of contacts means there is an overhaul to the contact system in CoH to make it more streamlined, like CoV.

Oh BTW AS....there is a typo in the article:

Maybe the editor is one more of the fallen ones (I am assuming you meant "vigilant")
