You have to beat the EB to free the Mender. The Mender cannot help you defeat the EB.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you free the mender first, he will follow you around and will help you kill off the EB. Same as in the Rikti mission. Did this at least 3 times to get the badges. -
For the 45-50 range, the Ouroboros Initiation is a nice option, as it only consists of 12 missions, but 8 of them are "talk to x" all in the Ouroboros area.
The first mission, "Retrieve the information" can just quickly be zipped trough as you only have to find the real computer. The 5th columnists aren#t a real threat, just your reduced power pools are an unusual sight.
The second mission is a bit hard one, as you are reduced to lvl 1 but the map is filled with contaminated. Just go for the captured NPC's and get to the indoor part. Just killing the mobs that hold the NPC's captive (always 3 minions) and clicking the PC should finish the mission. Thios mission is especially hard with no Temp Powers or being debuffed
The third mission is inside the Rikti Caves, and has mezzers. But as you fight at your normal level, this shouldn't be much of a problem. One normal boss guards Mender Lazarus, who can help you on the final boss (or draw alot of aggro, your decission)
The last mission is the time-travel mission to atlas. Simply ignore all mobs except the one that helds Mender Lazarus captive. Together with the Mender get towards the meteor and try to first get rid of the minions. Then unload your wrath on the EB. Hardest part, in my opinion, was to destroy the meteor.
I got all 3 "Time" and "Defeat" badges on this flashback arc, partially being debuffed.
Also a sidenote: It seems, that arcs, that begin with a "kill X" mission (refering to Red Tomax guide) often ignore the first mission and will start with the second mission in line. -
Ok, the following issue is not a real bug but also an inconsistency:
At least on the male model - "body - chest - thights" there are two patterns both named "jester". The first one is an older one with beams radiating from one point and ending in round spots.
The second one is the new "diamond" jester pattern for the new jester costume.
A differentiation of the names (and if it is only "jester 1" and "jester 2") would be nice.
Screens might follow when/if I'm back at home.
Edit:
I forgot:
Jay is sexy!! -
I'm a bit disappointed, when I tried to make a harlequine character. to be totally limited to the rather stupid looking jester boots.
Sure, there might be some characters, that look really cool with these boots, but my more acrobat-like char looks simply strange with these boots.
It would be a nice addition, if the "diamond jester" pattern, that is available for the new jester style, could be applied to simple flat boots (or the other boots versions as well.
Also, there are now 2 optionns in some char creator categories named "jester".
Is there a discussion thread regarding the new costume pieces? I couldn't find one, so if anyone could perhaps direct me to one, I would be very thankful. -

There is no such thing as a Tiered system for badge defeats. A defeat is a defeat, no matter if its a minion or an archvillain.
[/ QUOTE ]
Except when it clearly states to defeat a certain tier of enemies (like Famaily bbosses) -

Sorry if this has been covered, but i didn't wanna sift through 42 pages of stuff but my question is that for the accolades coming out we'll need badges from missions being completed but those contacts I can no longer get missions from at my level and didn't know I could any from them because I needed to obtain a badge first before I could like Archmage Tarixus. So will we be able to go back and do those missions? Since I'm a big badge freak so I get obsessive of getting everyone I can, especially the beneficial accolades. So any info about this that I could be directed to or anything like that?
[/ QUOTE ]
I think you can still join a team that is llower level and help them with their mission, as you will be auto-exemplared for TF's -
[ QUOTE ]
Does anyone know if the badge graphics have been updated? or are they still out of whack? (meaning 3 badges all have one dot on it...unlike CoH where the badges are "progressive") [I logged right after the mission and forgot to look]
[/ QUOTE ]
There are still 2 sets of each of the stature badges. And there is still a grafical bug, cause the green/red badge with 1 dot is doubled, but the one with 2 dots is missing -

25 mins holy crap
[/ QUOTE ]
calm down. Thats the same timer as heroes have for their click-power accolades -
[ QUOTE ]
what about the 2 villain ones
[/ QUOTE ]
There aren't that many informations about the villain accolades.
High Pain Treshold seems to be a permanent power.
Megalomaniac and Demonic seem to be click-powers. -
[ QUOTE ]
are those accolades permanent or are they click powers with long recharges or what? i never played CoH
[/ QUOTE ]
There are accolade powers that are permanent, like the Freedom Phalanx Reserve Member, which adds +5 END to your char. But there are also click powers, that have their own icon in the power tray and can be activated by clickcing it (e.g. Crey Cryo Rifle) -
[ QUOTE ]
Are teams credited with pillbox takeovers or is it just the one who is lucky enough to click first?
[/ QUOTE ]
It is the latter, but a capture from an already occupied pillbox also counts. So say, you are a hero, and you capture a villain pillbox you get the point.
This is really hard, but is do-able. The Heavy badge is also hard to get, but a freindly way to do this is, to get a Heavy, and to dismiss him immideatly. The Heavy will respawn (with some luck at the same spot) and you can grab him again. -

Other than that, exploration badges have been found in all the Mayhem Missions. Atlas, Kings Row, Skyway, Independence Port, Talos, Brickstown, and Founder's Falls.
[/ QUOTE ]
What badges are in atlas? Alot of the zone was blue'd off. I may be able to run one or two more in Atlas before I outlevel it and want to try it out!
[/ QUOTE ]
There is explration badge in each Mayhem instance of the Paragon City zones. Only villains can get those, as they can only be gained during Mayhem Missions.
The Atlas Park badge is called "Global Threat" and is located on a sidewalk directly in front of the Zone Entry Drop-Off point -
[ QUOTE ]
Well the Jailbird badge does not give XP.
[/ QUOTE ]
That is no wonder, cause you can't gain XP in the Tutorial, other than through following the guides -
[ QUOTE ]
can someone tell be what exactly you have to do to capture a pillbox and to capture a heavy?
thx
[/ QUOTE ]
Pillboxes:
- 1st you have to defeat all 4 Popup Turrets around the pillbox.
- When this is done you have to quickly click the translucent dome on top of the pillbox.
- When you are fast enough, you will gain control of the pillbox and the rocket turrets that will spawn then. -

Can anyone out there recommend a updated web-site for badge information?
[/ QUOTE ]
Give CoH Guru a try, their list is up-to-I6-date, and I7 is currently prepared to be added (they already have I7 exploration badges)
[/ QUOTE ]
Their list of badges might be up-to-date, but I just looked at the site. They have quality control issues. They list the Air Pirate badge as the Black Scorpion description: this was a bug, and most people who have the badge know it. They don't have a lot of the ways to get badges, etc...
All in all, I'd say this is -not- a good place for badge information.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's just cause I have to do all thes elists alone, nobody helps me. And I only have time (and want to) play 1 character at a time, so there might be missing informations for CoV. -

I'd have to go back and check, but I believe it offers a 10% buff to your HP and some new costume options.
I haven't checked the costume options yet.
[/ QUOTE ]
It only offers a 5% boost to you max HP, but yes, it unlocks a costume piece, some military shoulder pads. -
New badges:
Recluse's Victory:
4 Exploration badges (found "Dark Victory/Temporal Fighter", "Last Stand" and "Globetrotter", missing "Ragnarok")
3 Badges for capturing Pillboxes (the first is for 10 Pillboxes)
3 Badges for piloting the "Heavies"
Badges for killing the Signature Heroes and Villains (6 for killing heroes, 5 for killing villains)
Grandville:
4 exploration badges
More stuff:
1 CoH Accolade (Task Force Commander)
New CoV accolades (heard of 2 so far: Megalomaniac & High Pain Treshold) -
[ QUOTE ]
So... Any Exploration Badges found yet? Villains with Top Dog, anything? }=D
[/ QUOTE ]
There are 4 Exploration badges in this zone, and not in the places where they would be if this was the real Atlas Park
The exploration badges are:
Dark Victory/Temporal Fighter
Last Stand
Globetrotter
Ragnarok
Edit: @TacRedline: Min lvl is 40 -

w00t, new features....is it safe to assume people already found things to complain about it?

Yes -
The first version of these badges were awarded for either doing a Patrol, a "Buff" or a "Debuff" missions. Even the badge texts implied that. The disruptor badge read: "You have done what you can to hinder your opponents in a PvP zone."
Then, nearly one week after the issue went live the started changing them. I understand that it should be difficult to gain the Longbow Warded Gladiator cause this one is really tough, but 400 rep is just insane, especially when the rep resetts everytime you log out or chamge zones (from the last times I've been to zones I encountered this, no idea if they finally fixed that). -

Apparently some of us lucked out and were given those badges for PvP zone missions due to a bug. The true and only way to get them now is to get 200 and 400 rep points.
[/ QUOTE ]
This wasn't a bug. They simply changed the requirements for these badges after 1 week or so. And I have to say that the new requirements just suck. 200 and 400 rep points is horribly insane. -
So do i understand right that the "Hellfrost" gladiator isn't tied to another badge but gained after X Hellfrost kills?
