All of that said, it *could* be done, but I doubt we have the free time in the schedule anytime soon, and even at that it would be fairly low priority. My guess is you'll see it around the same time as the Giant Tape Worm.

[censored] you! You [censored] work on it right this [censored] second!
And now for your impertinence, you will also create a giant [censored] tape worm monster that drops kickable red balls.
Add another vote for the BRB phenomenon. Hurrah!
So, we're getting a giant tape worm, and the BRB may happen some day? Cool. But please, put BRB on the "useless features the community wants" list so that at least it is never forgotten. Can you at least promise you'll keep it in mind for possible future inclusion? Please? Just keep it in mind...
I want big red balls!!!

i know _castle_ said it couldn't be done, but i still think it's a great idea. someone should get asigned to making this one happen.... it's just silly fun to be had here.
if i knew how to make computer games and code things i would totally do this for free and just give the code to COH. but alas i'm but a lowley public servant who knows nothing of computer programing. *looks to those that do know programing*

He didn't say it couldn't be done, he just said it can not be done as of right now (with the problems of I-7, and I-8 underway with the retail expansion in the works, there is hardly any time). Who knows, we may get it eventually, here is to hoping.
Give this big red ball a happy face, and sentience.
Let it bound around random zones and rattle off incoherent threats, as it bounces throughout the zone crushing civilians, baddies, and generally anything it touches taking damage.
A new AV called, Evil Otto.
If not, have small, hero sized balls fly around with blasters sticking out of them, and the red balled blasters start killing everything in the zone. Every hero in the zone has the inherent duty to kill them off, or the citys population is killed off. You may get kill counts, a badge, and title of ballbreaker!
A few musings, on the big red ball.
I...I think I like the Big Red Ball idea.
I want a Big Red Ball too.
The BRB is a great idea. Instead of a game, give us a toy and let us create our own game!
Imagine if they put the BRB in a PvP zone... THAT is a sure-fire way to get people to PvP. "Gimmie back my ball you dirty Stalker!"
I don't think they'll do it, but I really hope they do it. Please give us the Big Red Ball.

Ok, I don't see how it can be at all difficult to make a big red ball. Right now with I7 you can blow up an autoturret and play kick the can. You can kick other objects around too so how would be ball be different? Just make it so it gets pushed around by people running into it instead of by attacking it.
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
Big Red Ball FTW!!! Man, ugggh, this would be insanely fun and addicting... I can see it, the server crashes because of all the LOL's and LMAO's being typed in broadcast...
I think this is one of the best ideas ever. It may not be combat, it may not "empower" our characters, but it would be FUN.
For those "Challenge=Fun" Cultists, think of the CHALLENGE of maintaining the ball while we are having FUN playing with it.
Maybe to prevent greifers from hiding the BRB, they could set up a specail lil station to sorta ping the ball so you can see where it is. It wont make the ball move away from where ever it is at, but the ping will let you see where it is so you can go to it.
Then at this station (perhaps under a tram is a good place for the station) there is a hammer and a button. You pick up the hammer and strike the button with it. This activates the 'ping'
So to find the BRB, you have to use the Ball Ping Hammer.

Don't know if anybody else has posted about this yet, but last night I was running around with a Gravity 'troller, and noticed something way too cool.
All the items summoned up from their Propel power stuck around after they were pulled up to attack an opponent... moreover, you could push them around easily... and they bounced around off walls and whatnot.
Couldn't target and hit them with an attack, but you could bounce them around by running into them When our team first discovered this, we stopped right in the middle of a FrostFire mission for almost 15 min I think, just kicking a forklift around to each other, and we had a blast!!
Now, I realize that those items despawn eventually, but would there be a way to create one like a big red ball that stuck around in a zone like the OP suggested, indefinitely?
I could see "soccer" SG leagues devoted to the BRB.
too cool... too cool...

I couldn't agree more.
Oh, I've noticed this new thing apply to bullet casings, leaves and other stuff..
I don't think this would be hard to create. Can't attack it, just run into it.. but I think that would be enough

Iv found tons of things now with I7 that you can run into and move. Its fun, but pretty hard to control where its gona go. This technology as people have said could be used for the Big Red Ball. But I dont think it would be as much fun. I would rather kick around what we have now and wait for them to figure out how to let our attacks hit the Big Red Ball and move it. Would be alot more fun that way.
Yep, it's fun, but nobody else sees what you see My SG mate told me it just looked like I was running around after my invisible dog. I guess that's what Castle meant - the interactive between players part would be hard.

Oh? Damn that sucks, here I wanted to play Soccoer with a tire.
Everyone can see the signs going round. Its fun trying to make them loop, but to easy with SJ heh.
Thats a shame. My boyfriend managed to get the car (from propel of course) up into the crowd under Atlas hoping it would spark some kind of soccer game. We didn't know that no one else could see it.
(Edited for grammar!)
YES! We need a Big Red Ball ! And If youv ever seen those type of Big Ball that like 10 people help push around and its maybe like 12 feet in width/height, idk if Im only one that has done it before in gym class LOL back in elementry school, I also saw it on the Real World in one of tehre team oriented games. I think something that Big would be hilarious and super fun especially pushing it in the streets or there could be a Big Red Ball Zone with grassy fields and Goals and all OMG THAT WOULD ROCK
Sounds cool. I'd like to see it as well.
But I have to ask... if the same were given to villains, wouldn't they get a... 'Big Blue Ball'?
