Son of the Regen Lounge: Sit a spell!
grats on being the first person to say that!
there always ends up being a bunch of people who see our mad writings and enter into a race with the devs, trying desparately to level their guy up. As if they are stuck in some heroic, nightmarish version of an Indiana Jones movie and the giant nerf bat is swinging down at you as you frantically flee before it.
/em Muahahaha

I might wait till after I6 and just pretend that I have a blapper with maybe a faster HP recovery.
...well. That's how I'm already playing him, but I have the hope that eventually I'll have Dull Pain and Intergration to help me.

You know I just want to reiterate, that Regens KICK BUTT!!
Why?
Regens are always out to help each other. I just read the pre-release of Fanboy's DP guide, and I note that any newbie Scrapper can get a hand here.
I've tried several times to get help on my Controller on their boards without success. Regens take all the nerfs and still make a kick butt character.

Thanks a lot EvilGeko, you just opened up a whole new way for regeners to get nerfed.
<ul type="square">[*]"It has come to our attention that the Scrapper secondary set, Regeneration, still has a healthy and strong community. Despite our best efforts, they're sticking together and coming up with ways to mitigate our nerfs, resulting in the need for more nerfs. As a result, any account with a Regeneration Scrapper has had their forum privledges revoked. This will ensure that they stop crunching numbers and just play the game. The Regen Lounge has been deleted... again."[/list]

I will agree with this.
My BS/Regen (a hair away from lvl 31) has been my most fun character to date - in large part due to comments and guides from regulars in the regen lounge.
Hacking up bad guys with a big <censored> sword while having a decent supply of endurance = best, EVER
Nonono. No one is thinking nearly nerfy enough!
Fast healing -> Fast hurting: You lose health, but can slot this for slightly less health loss.
Reconstruction -> Endurance Battery: This high cost(40 end) click regains 20 points of endurance, but the effect wears off after two seconds.
Quick recovery -> Wear out: You recover end a slightly higher rate, by draining it from nearby allies.
Dull Pain -> Absorb pain: You can absorb some of the damage dealt to your enemies, healing them and hurting yourself. Recharge rate reduced!
Integration -> Disunification: Long recharge click power, Self disorient.
Resiliance -> Resiliance: What? You thought this needed a nerf??
Instant Healing -> Still heals, but only a 10% boost. Quadrupled recharge rate.
Revive -> Faceplant: Why wait for enemies to kill you? Do it yourself!
Moment of Glory -> Moment of idiocy: Self damage, extreme(100%) resistance and defence to all(except fire, cold, energy, negative enegery, smashing, lethal, toxic, and psionic.)
NEW POWER!!! -> Debt: Low end cost toggle-Self +debt

That is one thing that is un-nerfable: the Scrapper and */regen generosity that makes this the first section of the boards I check everytime I log in. Maybe it's that we've seen the swing of the nerf bat so many times, or the nature of the type of player that chooses a scrapper over the other ATs, but it is here that I find a real sense of AT community, mutual respect, and -mostimportantA+#1!- sense of humour.
A toast! To the */regens - long may they glow goofy green!

The trick to getting help on the controller boards is to advertise yourself as being a "lost fire imp" looking for a new master. With the reduction in pets, you'll likely get at least one Fire controller to pick you up and mentor you some. It helps if you go blow a few thousand influence at Icon for a fire aura and some spikey hair.

A good point ... its the very personality type that is drawn to scrappers that makes the community and the resilience to nerfs.
Those prone to scrapper-lock see the nerfs the same way they see Statesman ... errr ... a Boss mob ... a challenge to be overcome ...

you mean like this?
for the record, i created that guy the first time that pets were nerfed and controllers went ape [censored]. he's a pet given his freedom and each of his costume slots emulates a different pet. The base is for phantom army. The 2nd is the fire imp. The 3rd is poo man. I haven't figured out the last one yet, I'm only 39.
his name is Eckspet and he will kick the living hell out of your shins if you cross him.
Level 50 is a journey, not a destination.
▲Scrapper Issues List - Going Rogue Edition▲
that was a great toon idea. it's wacky, i was watching someone drop pa just last nite and i was guessing about how close i could get a costume to look. yours is way closer than i coulda dreamed. oh hey, i wonder if eckspet in poo form knows wave of terra? she's my main squeeze nowadays. she was never a pet (unless you wanna call the gods her owner/caster), but she does go after shins. but only as finishing moves. she opens with stone mallet to that "special place". her height is perfect for it. not a regen, but the most fun and laffs i've had by far in the last 14 months.

I've been trying to make Statesman mad enough to come duel me with the Regen build that was used to solo +7s on their internal test server, but thus far there has been no response. Maybe he's afraid that he'll have to summon his dev pets(like Hami) to beat me.

Not only that, but Controllers will actively mislead you by saying things like "Storm sucks" and "Don't take Confuse."
Elsegame: Champions Online: @BellaStrega ||| Battle.net: Ashleigh#1834 ||| Bioware Social Network: BellaStrega ||| EA Origin: Bella_Strega ||| Steam: BellaStrega ||| The first Guild Wars: Kali Magdalene ||| The Secret World: BelleStarr (Arcadia)
As opposed to things like "SR sucks" or "don't take revive."
Fast Healing will be renamed Solar Recharge and will only add healing during CoH daytime.
Quick Recovery will be renamed Lunar Affinity and will only add endurance during CoH night-time.
Sting of the Wasp will have its damage reduced to further reflect the name of the power.
Brawl will have added Knockdown to suit the theme for Katana users.
Moment of Glory lasts longer than a moment, so will have the same duration as Build Up.
Build-up will reflect its name by increasing damage output on successive strikes for its duration, starting at 20% effectiveness.
Instant Healing will no longer be a 'state' but will actually do what its name implies: Heal you to full, then stop.
Phase Shift will drop you out of phase with all natural objects, including the floor. In this altered realm, travel powers will be ineffective, but there is added code to move you directly to the hospital once you've fallen 10k units. This is a further enhancement to the utility of Phase Shift in escaping difficult missions.
Invisibility will only be effective as long as you are not in line-of-sight of NPCs. We had this idea while watching Mystery Men. However, this power will now stack with Stealth for added protection.
Hasten will no longer affect powers, but will be a reduced form of Super Speed, in the same way that Hover is a reduced form of Flight.
Hover and Hasten will be mandatory pre-requisites for Super Speed and Flight.
Concealment powers will no longer stack with Integration, as your molecules will constantly fight to be reintegrated.
Instant Healing- upon activation, a giant blue hand slaps an oversized band-aid over your head instantly healing 15% of your overall health. Due to the nature of having a life sized band-aid stuck to your face, you take a penalty to accuracy and suffer a minor DoT due to suffocation.
Revive is a lackluster power. Weakest of the self rez powers and as with all of them requires you to be defeated to even be useful. Personally I would rather take something that helps prevent that defeat then take a power I can only use if defeated.

just in case some one calls it, i want to reinterate my old idea of bringing balance by making our toggles exclusive with fast healing.
and that fast healing cost endurance to run.

Toggles? Don't you mean toggle?
Also, I think QR should be turned into a new toggle, that supplies us with 1.3 end per second.
However, it costs 1.5 end per second to run, and doesn't accept end recoveries or end reducuers.
