Issue 3 is about 2 months away. The devs haven't said much for an obvious reason, they are still working on it. Mission difficulty slider WILL be in Update 3. Epic AT's will also be in Update 3. New zones and villians. Not to mention what sounds like a huge server event coming up with Update 3. There will be things that no one knows about that will be in Update 3.

Remember badges? No one knew they existed until Update 2 hit the test server. And look at how well its turned out as a really nice surprise.

Don't jump to conclusions troll. Just because not much has been said so far doesn't mean Update 3 won't have anything. Hell, the Arena might make Update 3. You never know.

Sigh. I wasn't going top jump in, but the e-Rod pushed me over the edge.

Anyone remember Ultima Online? Fun little MMORPG, or at least it was, 5 years ago. Anyway, after player killers ran rampant though out the game world, the developers put in a "mirror" world. Half moons. The old world was non-consensual PvP, then new world was quickly labeled "Care bear land."

Oh, the cries of nerfs! The shouts of words no 12 year old should pronounce! Insults cast anonymously in the direction of, well, everyone! The lumberjacks were mad at the carpenters, the ore miners refused to deal with blacksmith, the scribes wouldn't write spells! Everyone was effected! It was horrible! This new world was supposed to eliminate player killers, why were all the "good" players having to make changes? How do the player killers coupe?

.. hey... no one ever asked that last question before. How did the PKs, hardcore PvP junkies, the power gamers of today deal with all of these patchs? All the code against them? We didn't. We just tightened our belt, and played smarter, not harder. Player spells now only do %75 of max damage VS another human? Great, now I need to cast 2 extra spells! Death penalty? Perma death? Great, now I need to travel in huge packs, not by myself. Can't loot a player you killed for 7 minutes? Fine, I'll kill them over and over until the first timer wears off.
Ultima Online made a lot of changes, hell, right now I think the full title is Ultimate Sale Bin collection from E "we need to stick to sports"A and Todd "Wish it was McLaren" McFarrin Online. Even to this day, a few players are still out there. On the desolate "evil" moon. They roam in small packs, or even a duo. They're hunted, by players and Devs alike. Yet they keep on playing. You know why? I think it's because if I were to spend half the time I have to play CoH to scour the forums attacking each and every person I don't agree with, well, damn, I'd be bored of CoH too! In the end however, the fact of the mater is, we don't mater. We being not the "vocal minority" because then yes, we do mater. I use the term "we" as the handful, a couple hundreds at most, of the posters who must debate, discus, dissect, and scrutinize over details so trivial, it boogels my mind.
The point, as I'm sure the two people still reading are just dieing to know, is to "shut up and play." Let others complain. Let the Developers and PR machines, thank you cryptic for having the best of both, handle the fires about this and that. You just play the game. If the game gets boring, well, uninstall it. I don't care if you do though, so don't waste your time telling me, I wont care enough to listen. Besides, I'll be busy playing this game. It's fun. You should try it.

Oh, and for the record. i'm a friggion horse!

Also, badges weren't even hinted at for issue 2. Yet there they were. Something like that could be in store for us in issue 3.

If I had to guess at one unannounced thing in issue 3, it would be at least one new trial or TF. Probably more than one since there's new zones and enemies to cover.

A new challenging trial would be nice. There's lots of obvious candidates in the existing content - Faultline, the Ziggurat, the Crash Site.

Now if you only had a graphic showing how we'll NEVER get this time back that we wasted reading this thread.

Let's just hope I3 is tested a LOT more than I2 was before official release.

Issue 3 is in internal test already. QA reports suggest that it is already better than sucktastic. Your mileage may vary.

And this, ladies and gents, is why I love this game. The VP of Product Development just used the word "sucktastic."

So you're saying Issue 2 was sucktastic at release (OP: I hope I3 > I2. Gaffer: I know I3 > sucktastic.)? There were some bugs, but I can vouch that I2 was far better than sucktastic! =)

But, Gaff, I pay out my hard-earned money for a free expansion that I want, nay demand to be better than better than sucktastic! I want fan-friggin'-tastic!

Or a pacifier.

Most of us have been here through Issue 2 and I can confirm that it was better than sucktastic. It was mega super duper sucktastic. I don't know whether to enphasise the "suck" or the "astic". To say it had a few bugs was the understatement of the year. Please keep Issue 3 as long as you need. Test the living snot out of it.

Both Issue 1 and 2, Rocked.

Sure Issue 2, had a little struggle out of the gate, and there was a balancing issue. That should have been figured out on the "Traning room" server more.

But once the kinks got worked out, (and this coming from a victom of the kinks on the order of a LOT of debt in respec trial.)

It turned out to been really cool, Capes, Effects, an event to kick it off, a cool background story with it.

All in all awesome. We are also seeing some story arc stuff come along, with Issue 3. I hope we'll have a cool event that works into it.

Along with a Statesman's "cryptic (hee hee pun intented )" radio interview. about what we'll see.

Remember there is a Council and a War.

I would say I2 was sucktastic if it wasent for the fact the devs spent the week after release working nearly 24/7 (from what i could tell) at fixing the problems.
Unlike some other game companies, cough *SoE* cough

Hey, issue 2 was flawless!...aside from that bug that made it so I crashed whenever I was on a team...and that night when Rikti swords were doing double damage...and so on

Okay, so it wasn't perfect

And I would like to add that when it is released on Test, it will take more than the 40 of us who play regularly there to thoroughly test it... so get your characters copied over NOW!

(And I loved Issue 2 - my dark/dark defender actually WORKS now!)

I was going to flame you a new cornhole Balron, but the more intelligent, more patient forum posters have pretty much covered all the points that you have failed to realize BEFORE you made your original post. So I will only state one this:
Take a break, read the posts of the members included in this thread. Then if you still feel the need to engage in purely negative banter try out the WoW/battle.net forums, they will give you all the fuel for a flamewar that you will ever need.
