This explains why I couldn't even try a single attack against one of the Dev Agents back in the Beta end event. I spent ten minutes jumping in over the stormy effect (didn't know what power it was) with an attack already cued, I'd basically land on the guy's head, slide off, and get thrown back by the wind. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't at least getting one attack off while I was basically standing on him.
This was with a Dark/Invul Brute. -
Preorder box seems to be showing up in Canadian EB Games stores as of Thursday (whereas on Wednesday, many, if they'd even heard about it at all, were assuming it might be a U.S. only thing).

Don't forget, if EBGames say they won't ship you the free disc, that is their policy, not NCSofts.

Yes, I know. My point is that if NC Soft says, "if you want to get our game in your stores, and the special pre-order bonuses and stuff, and your logo and link on our web site, here's the deal," and EB breaks that deal, NC is right to pounce on them. Trouble is, we don't (and won't) know what the deal was. -
I think we really need a dev/publisher response on this. Canadians are getting shafted, while the promotion quite clearly says "North America" (does that mean it's available in Mexico?). We're loyal fans and players up here, too, and we had no trouble getting the CoH pre-order.
C'mon, give us some help, give us a solution, just give us a nod that you've noticed we're having trouble -- anything! -
What if the original statement, about one thing not being true, is the one that's not true? Oh wait, PARADOX! Ouch. That feedback hurts.

We know about cycling the function of a key -- a press of the key activates an action and loads a bind file to remap itself to the next action wanted, so that each keypress performs a different function in a cycle.
I have also recently learned about macros -- much like a keybind, but instead of mapping an action to a key on the keyboard, it is mapped to an icon/button in your power bars.
Is it possible to script a cycling macro/icon, or does it only work with keybinds? -
Fantastic! Thanks, I'll be hunting Paladin soon.
If anyone else has more info, it'd be appreciated too. -
Better than sucktastic is all we ask! Roll it out now! :-)

Sorry if it's been mentioned, but you MUST be able to gesture with a clenched fist.

I await the aquaman power set.
Soon we shal see Dolphins flopping along the streets of Atlas park coming to slap the heck out of a Hellion.
Of course the level 32 power will be dropping blue whales out of the sky on groups of enemies.
One of the hold powers could be spawning a octipus to entangle the legs.

Okay, so if Atlantis or Lemuria suddenly appears to wage war on the surface world, I'll be bummed. (Aside from the fact that it'll be more of a rip-off than an homage, because it'll be such a direct theft.) I have a character I quite enjoy called Sea King, who is the sovereign of Lemuria. I have a feeling that his story is soon to become more complicated...

That sounds pretty good, not a bad theory at all.
I can't help thinking, though, with that Council of War title, that it might be time for SG alliances. -
Here's an action shot I took when my character was just getting started. If I could've moved the camera a little further down so the subjects could be closer to the centre of the frame, it would've been just about perfect.

I don't understand the debate that this has turned into. In Paragon City, we heroes are licenced law enforcement agents. If any of you are out there unlicenced, that's different -- but I make sure to take my exam and renew my licence every six months, show up to court on cases involving my work, and keep my paperwork in order. The city has *asked* us to do this, to help out in this way. We aren't breaking the law, we're defending it.

Thanks for the perspective, folks. I suppose this is an important part of the "hero job" as well -- having a good, strong community between heroes, so we can help support each other when the going gets rough.
Thank you all, and stay safe out there.

I wonder sometimes.
I mean, thousands of new heroes have answered the city's call, and that's wonderful. But...
Atlas Park is still overrun with Hellions. The Skulls own Kings Row. The Outcasts in Steel Canyon, the Trolls in Skyway City... Everywhere you turn, you see more of them. How can they even be recruiting faster than we put them in jail?
Is it that shyster lawyer you see the ads for all over town? Is he getting them all sprung on technicalities?
I'm especially burned by the Fifth Column. Once a shadowy, underground organization who didn't dare to show their faces in the light of day, now they stand there on every other street corner in Steel Canyon, spouting their fascist rhetoric, unafraid.
Heroes, I ask you: Are we even making a difference?
