  1. Power Proliferation: Psi/ Corruptors, Dark (primary or secondary) Doms. Trap Trollers actually sounds good too.

Base Tailors: Maybe something that unlocks with incarnate content [gain 250-300 shards while in SG mode?]

    Continue the alt animation updates.

    Backpacks for Travel Powers

STABLE Recipe storage would be welcome as well (rather than in gleemail, and other than in the WW/BM)

An option to disable PVP while in PVP Zones (toggle only at zone entrance or upon respawn; you'd have to work it to where you couldn't affect PVPers at all though). Sometimes I want to badge hunt without getting ganked.
  2. I also recommend going to Thorn Isle in Nerva at night. The floating lights are a great place to take screenies of your magic-origin toons. You see them sometimes in Cap as well, but the atmosphere is less evocative.

Martial has a lot of interesting architecture, from the Tiki Bars to the many, many other casinos besides the Giza (out in the Jackpot), to the permanent Carnie Camp in Fortune's Wheel.

As for the Dev Dungeon, it is pretty difficult to find because the entrance is hidden behind one of those big black machinery pieces of wall detail. There's just enough room to squeeze behind it to find the easter egg. If you're in Grandville anyway, might as well stop by Monster Island to visit Arachnos' Loneliest Wolf Spiderâ„¢ who could always use a fishing buddy.

Who in the world has 215 endurance? End is almost always 100 regardless of level. There are accolades which can bump this slightly (I believe to 110), but I don't think there's any way to get to 200+, particularly not on your average build.
  4. Do you mean that you have the power in your tray/power list or that you're getting the Call to Justice buff constantly, with no end duration?

Normally speaking, it's a click buff. It does not have charges. It will remain available for use until you change alignments.

  6. Actually it's even better if the top two slots of each team are all in the same SG in case of crashes 'cause otherwise the instance bugs.

Arguably Pocket D is the best place to be when going into the bases for COP. Hosp respawns are very close to the base porter. Following from there? Probably RWZ.
You can recruit from anywhere, but those are probably the best spots to actually be when everyone goes into the Raid Base.
  7. Gratz to the winners, and Gratz to the sub-winners!

And thanks to the folks who played and commented on my arc, the lowest-ranking arc of any of the categories (woot 6th place, it's like elementary school Phys Ed all over again)! More than your votes, I appreciate your time.
  8. Really depends on what kind of toon we're talking about.
I'll agree that keeping a few charges in the Rez Ally is pretty handy for helping teams out in the case of wipes and such. It's just kind of a "friendly" thing to have available. Likewise, I enjoy the Ally Heal too for support toons who don't have a single target heal.

Setting that aside, most of my toons are parked at WW/BM or more often Ouroboros.

Chronologist provides a recipe bonus on mish complete, which even if it's a basic recipe - plenty of those can be cashed in or crafted (or sold for a reasonable profit on the BM). Plus, if you have the Time Lord/Lady Accolade, parking in Ouro grants time toward your +Recharge.

    Respec Failed?

i19 had a respec bug for dominators which popped up while it was on test/in beta. I've done respecs before while having a non-trained level up and not had a problem. Looks like you ran into the respec bug, but I thought it had been squashed prior to i19 going live.
  10. IMO, the lower level morality missions seem to be more awesome than the ones at 50 or so. The Rogue morality at 50 has a nice set up, but just ends up being an annoying series of ambushes and a boss fight. Yawn.

No idea, but I noticed this quite some time ago. It's been present since at least i18.

    Sapping?

Surprised there's only one mention of the elec/kin corruptor. Yes, you will get somewhat lower debuff numbers than a Defender (and get transference later in the build) - but you will have higher damage output to assist with the hardest control of all: mob defeats.

Don't forget that with kinetics siphon power on a zero-end target, even if you're getting hit by a weak-damage power (which can still be hefty on a Boss or higher), that damage is going to be debuffed as well, which helps your survivability.

    Practice.
  16. Not really sure about that particular mission, but I've found that Guest Author arcs get broken and then never get fixed. Might as well just skip the arc.
  17. I wouldn't mind being able to somehow buy Incarnate components through AE tickets, but it's fairly obvious that it it would be easily exploited given the present farming environment on the AE system. As such, it just doesn't make sense from the dev's perspective to allow it.

People can argue that players are farming TFs and such for shards at present, but that's sort of a false dichotomy. Those players are actually playing TFs - content which has a certain degree of dev-created balance in the reward/risk area. AE exploits do not have that balance, and it certainly isn't dev-created or monitored. Sure you can get a TF together with high-end, min-maxed teams geared toward sweeping and steamrolling through TFs - but that's different from being in a mission where the risks are innately neglible regardless of skill or player build.

And yeah, as someone already pointed out, you can get shards in AE - you just have to play DCs with normal rewards. *shrug* I'd like it to happen, but I can't see that the devs would open up that option given the exploit environment evident in the MA.
  18. I am also recommending Elec/kin; but /rad is also a good debuffing secondary which can leave room for extra pool powers if you want more versatility.

I'll somewhat agree with Jade here and admit that you're gonna hit the same combos pretty often, but with the sapping and good heal going on, your damage values could be floored and you'll still be reasonably survivable. My elec/kin does a decent job soloing EBs & I don't have any significant defense value.
  19. Wow that was a lot more interest than I thought there would be on the topic.
Will definitely be slotting the -res proc; I'll probably save up some of the other damage ones to slot in later in my build (presently only a 26 corr) as recharge and global acc get modified.
  20. Hey there folks. Quick question, and I think it's been answered before, but I can't recollect what the facts were.

Looking at storm summoning Freezing Rain. Noticed that it takes (accurate) defense debuffs.
So that suggests that I could stick in the Lady Grey Chance/Neg Dmg and Achilles Heel Procs into it.

Question is - when to the procs fire? On each target? On each damage tick? Or just on each use/click of the power?

    Thanks for any assistance.
  21. Rather than get huffy about AE Farming and such things (and those of us on the MA Boards do get huffy about it), let's take a step back and just welcome you to the boards and the AE Community in general.

Here's what I am going to read into your request: You are interested in the MA and want to try out some new storylines. You have some difficult-to-level toons and find that sometimes regular content can be troublesome. You'd like there to be some rewards for your efforts, since I'm sure you've seen or heard about the many XP and ticket nerfs that have happened in the past.

No problem. First off, rather than list off my favorite AE storylines, there are several great threads already posted on the Boards that can pick them out for you!

Arrowrose's Excellent Arcs Thread: Believe it or not, 4 star arcs are often better than 5 star arcs. Arrowrose goes through these and provides a very brief approval of the arc or a comment on how it could be better. Most do get thumbs-up.

Pro Payne's Reviews: "Pro Payne" is a unpowered citizen of Paragon City who uses the MA to become a superhero for recreation and great justice. Provides detailed In-Character reviews of arcs, plenty of which get 4-5 stars.

2010 MA Players Choice Awards: This is a good time to look for great arcs, the MA community itself is giving kudos to the hard working authors who have put together some exceptional arcs. These arcs are player-tested, player approved; so give those a try out as well.

CoHMR Reviews: Glazius provides shortish reviews of arcs provided to him through the independent website cohmissionreview.com - a sort of catalogue of arcs put together by players. It's not a bad "go-to" resource for a quick mission or even something more meaty.

Secondly, rewards: There have been some greatly lamented, overly-exposed nerfs to the MA rewards system - usually in response to exploits discovered by farmers which are slapped down by the Devs. These nerfs and exploit patches are usually widely known by the playerbase, but what we think a lot of people don't know are the subsequent "re-fixes" that have returned significant portions of the reward structure back to AE. Custom critters and groups no longer than XP nerfs as long as they are constructed by the AUTHOR to have 100% xp (rather than the devs hard coding a nerf). Ticket rewards unforunately will never reach the zenith they had way back in i14 (yes, five issues ago now), but that doesn't mean you won't see sufficient ticket rewards if you're playing story arcs consistently.

Lastly, difficulty: Believe it or not, most AE authors are not out to destroy your PC. Most times, unless an arc is specifically mentioned as being a "challenge" mission or has disclaimers mentioning EXTREME AVs or something like that - most of the recommended AE arcs are designed with the soloer in mind. Tough fights usually have an ally, sometimes more, or unusual (and inventive!) mechanics which place the challenge on a relatively even playing field. So, it's not so bad for toons that are somewhat difficult to level in normal content.

Unfortunately for some, the AE system is not intended and most story arcs are not designed to provide "faster" or accelerated levelling compared to normal content - and the MA Community here generally frowns on using it for that purpose. However, more than a handful of us have levelled entirely within the AE system without the use of farms, speed levelling, or other shortcuts. Please also note that if you look around on the boards, there is a MA Static Team which can help you with finding a team to bump up the potential for larger XP rewards while playing through MA Storylines. Check that out too.

Anyway, I hope this is a good start in getting you interested in the regular MA content that many, many authors have worked very hard to provide to you for your enjoyment. Please let us know if you have any other questions, as many of us are willing to answer mechanical questions about how the MA Works and designing your own story arc.
  22. Just to clarify this, We can get Siege from the non-arc missions from updated Maria? I couldn't quite tell from Paragonwiki whether I'd have to do the old Arcs through Ouro in order to get the mission that has him in it.
  23. I've already nudged the folks at The Cape to see if their listeners will transform some of their hilarious player-made radio ads into billboards for this. Ghost Widow Salon & Day Spa, anyone?
  24. Vitalize Power Doesn't Charge

Problem: Just that. The Master Architect Accolade Power doesn't charge. It's been like that for about four issues now. Not a massive game-breaker issue, but it is a "bug" with the AE system which does not appear to be WAI.

Solution: Fix it? Please? Or allow a different power, like a Ticket Vendor Discount coupon, maybe? Or a XP-less "Kill Target" power that charges?

Totally true. The Blueside midnighter access missions are just annoying IMO. Yes, you have to wait longer to get to the access but other than that, it's really a lot less hassle to get in.

Would be curious if a Rogue could get on a blueside access mish and then get in; I expect so. So, the earliest a native redsider could get in would be level 20.
