Flamespout Villain Morality Mission: GENIUS

I just wanted to point out that this mission is pure genius! Whoever wrote it deserves mad props because...

Spoilers (if you care) ...........

The idea that a young sidekick gave away all his secrets and draw dangerous trouble to himself in his social network sites is awesome! AND it's something that real teens need to learn because it's true in the real world too!

And not just teens. I happen to work in the information protection education field and I teach it to adults all the time too! People just don't "get it" that bad guys read profiles too.

Kudos Paragon Studios!

Spoilers ahead, yo.

The outcome of that mission made me feel terrible. Not only did I have the kid's grandmother killed, but I then also killed the kid in his greatest moment of dispair. Yeesh!

These missions truly are great for making you feel like a real villain. The 20-29 Villain alignment was awesome.

SPOILERS

Not only do you defeat the guy's hero daughter right in front of him, you then proceed to blow up his charity project and make him watch. Evil!

And the best part is that your actions eventually lead the heroic Silent Blade into villainy. Now I haven't done tip/morality missions between 30-49 but at 50 some of your tip missions are to defeat Silent Blade who's also being chased by Longbow so that's why I assume she fell to the dark side due to seeing the forces of good unable to prevent her father's death.

It's called "roleplaying." Adopting a persona other than your own.
In the unlikely event you ever get tired of simply playing yourself as a righteous and perfect super-Sue, you might give it a try.

lead the heroic Silent Blade into villainy? Silent Blade has always been an assassin. In one rogue mission in the 30s, you have to save her sister from her. In some of the level 50 hero missions you can save her from being killed by her clan after she refuses to kill some of her targets.

Well during the level 20-30 Villain Morality mission, it's stated that the only reason her father turned away from his evil ways to do good was because Silent Blade convinced him to change.

Do note that I wrote this thread before I completed the mission. However, I still feel the same about the message taught. It really could be that bad when people are careless with their data.

Yes but that doesn't necessarily mean that Silent Blade isn't a villain. She may be trying to convince her father to change because she has seen just how bad villainy is. However, it may just be fine for HER.

IMO, the lower level morality missions seem to be more awesome than the ones at 50 or so. The Rogue morality at 50 has a nice set up, but just ends up being an annoying series of ambushes and a boss fight. Yawn.

The Villain 50 mission I did was super satisfying in comparison to the (still awesome) Rogue one because, frankly, I wanted to pilot the Titan damnit!
But bombing the hell outta Salamanca? Beating up every Hero that tried to stop me? And THEN spanking the heck outta Desdemona? Giggity-giggity-EE-VIL!

I love that mission as well. All sorts of awesome.

SPOILERS

I specially love it how fire from one of the buildings you just bombed spreads to the street and Desdemona with her PPD fodder are on one side of the fire line and you're on the other.

well, ya know, i dont really get into playing actual villains, the point is that many felt that cov was lacking in real villainy, outside of a few well known contacts. so far threads like these indicate that the devs have gotten a lot better at making being a villain more satisfying. I'm unlikely to play these myself( rogue and vigilante, more likely) but its always a good thing for the people that want satisfying content of a certain writing to be getting it.

On my Vigilante who I was making a villain, I found their is one tip in paticular from i19 that had me dropping nuggets in my pants. Trail of Guilt-Striken Blood...or was it Guilt-Striken Trail of Blood...I dunno. But it goes like this:

(ZOMG ITZ TEH SPOILARZ)

There is a serial killer pretending to be a Longbow Agent, so you gotta "give him a fair trial". So, you frolic through the flowers of Grandville to the mish, and once you are inside, you fight Ghosts, which are like, the people the Agent slaughtered. So, you find his diary in the mish and the dude is all "OMG THEYZ R PRAYIN LIEK ALL GHOSTLIEK, GET MEH OUTTA HAR" So, eventually you find him, and he goes: Will you be my friend? So, as the good hero person you are, you take him and bring him to a ghost. As you fight the ghost, he gradually loses health, and eventually he slits his own throat, and he dies smiling. Also, through the whole mish he screams MAKE THE PRAYING STOP!!!!

---Teh Spoilerz End Har---

Overall, by far, without a doubt, not even rivaled, the creepiest mish in the game.

@Blaze Moon, Blaze Moon the 2nd

This is where something more interesting than my global and this sentence would be.

After that mission for a while whenever I thought of "smiling" the first image I came up with was a slit throat. Holy crap.

By the way, since you didn't indicate it in your post - he was very fond of making his victims "smile." When I realized what he had meant, I was creeped the eff out. The ending where you broke what sanity was left in the poor sod was just pure evil. He couldn't take it anymore and finally decided he would "smile" as well.

Definately, I thoroughly enjoyed that mission. However, there is one that particuarly stood out to me and it's the one with an up-coming hero (for the life of me I cant remember his name, but I know that he's a fire bender of some sort ) that's trying to take down Maelstrom. After I rescue him, he begins telling me just how much of an inspiration I am to him and how I was rolemodel hero. To avoid spoilers, after that mission, THAT'S when it'd hit me; I'd fallen from grace.

Ah yes, the dialogue window that pops up after you exit the mission was very demoralizing for me, considering I usually only play Heroes. I'm crossing over on my Blaster because she needs the Scorpion Shield.

Next Issue, those scientists around Black Scorpion in GV should be replaced with a few random, costumed (heroic looking) NPCs doing /beg and /worship and such.

I do not suffer from altitis, I enjoy every character of it.

I just encountered that one yesterday and agree. It was perfection!

Although I found myself thinking, yeah, that's what I would have done.... Is that bad?

I feel your pain. I hate to tarnish my careful hero creation, but badges require she jump back and forth a bit.
