Which Day Job power to maintain?

Hello everybody,

there is a thread in the Badge section about players now having all the day job badges and that got me to wondering.....

Is there any single day job power that stands out as being particularly good/useful/essential that you try and keep recharged?

Is there any that you avoid as much as possible?

Hates/Likes or are they all Meh...?

I usually avoid all day job locations on my new alts so as to maximise Patrol Bonus and help in levelling, but am sure I could park up my 50's to take advantage of the day job stuff.

Just trying to get a handle on which ones

Cheers

Edit: I am including the day Job accolade benefits in this as well.

You don't need to do that - gaining progress on Day Jobs doesn't prevent you from accumulating Patrol XP.

As to particular powers, Time Lord/Lady is nice, although you have to be 25 before you access Ouroborous and 35 before you access Cimerora. And of course Physician with the rechargable rez, for when you get one of *those* teams.

All my support toons with no built in Ally Rez keep [Revive Ally] with at least a few charges.

I usually prioritise keeping [Day Trader Teleporter] or the Enhanced version once the badge is complete full on all toons once I am done/bored with Day Jobs. I find it extremely useful because I am way too lazy to walk/base/tram it to Steel Canyon and Kings Row most of the time due to no Ouro exit. Not to mention half the time I logout at WW anyway due to marketing addiction!

The rest I just find too fiddly (I'm looking at you Autopowers with timelimits) to bother with on non-badgers.

I try to keep a supply of some of the Day Job accolades and bonuses handy:

Wentworths, so I can have WW teleporters and crafting Discounts is my most common one to have. (The base teleporter is nice to have, too.) I log most of my characters off in WW after I have all or most of the Day Jobs.

Hospital to make sure that I have some Ally Rez charges, especially on characters without an ally rez power.

Oro for characters who need a little bit more Recharge.

LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

I love the Wentworth's Teleporter. I probably use it MORE than Ouroboros these days.

I used to like the market teleport power but with the linked ferries and trains I find I don't need it as much. Now I've been getting the arena and PvP zone ones for the defense toggle power.

total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

I really enjoy having the Ally Heal from Alchemist on my Force Field Defender. The ally rez is also quite handy, even on characters who already have a rez... if things go really bad, I can rez someone while waiting for my main rez to recharge.

I've found a lot of the others to be handy from time to time... the Combat Shield toggle, the placate power... but the ones that I've probably found the least useful tend to me the AoE hold and sleep, what with their low magnitude. I might get more out of them if I used them on character where I could stack mezzes, but I never really think to do that.

I try to keep a few charges on the ally rez/heal and market teleport. Otherwise I go for Oroboros.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

This plus the placate (Pocket D/Tailor) on squishies and the Invention crafting discount tickets (Market/Store) on all.

I loved the two teleporters (market and base) but with the merged lines I don't use them nearly as much now.

If you plan to do the Shard Task Forces on a non-flying character, the fly travel power (Shard/Train) is a nice emergency backup for when your raptor pack gives out half-way across a zone.

I guess all of those are accolade powers. I find the normal day-job powers not really worth the effort most of the time although if all else fails I stand in a train station becase A) I'm probably already at one and B) A little extra speed never hurts.

Most of my retired characters have all the day job temp powers. The most used one is the Invention crafting discount coupons.

Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

My scrappers really enjoy getting free Frag Grenades from parking in the RWZ Vanguard base.

Really depends on what kind of toon we're talking about.
I'll agree that keeping a few charges in the Rez Ally is pretty handy for helping teams out in the case of wipes and such. It's just kind of a "friendly" thing to have available. Likewise, I enjoy the Ally Heal too for support toons who don't have a single target heal.

Setting that aside, most of my toons are parked at WW/BM or more often Ouroboros.

Chronologist provides a recipe bonus on mish complete, which even if it's a basic recipe - plenty of those can be cashed in or crafted (or sold for a reasonable profit on the BM). Plus, if you have the Time Lord/Lady Accolade, parking in Ouro grants time toward your +Recharge.
