  2. Absolutely not. I cannot state my objection to this idea strongly enough.

What they should instead do is have a separate room, similar to studio B in the architect building, where power suppression is in effect, and leave the main part of WW alone.
  3. No.

    I'm completely against this.
  4. Absolutely, 100%, NO to this idea.

I'm so sick of the idea (that thankfully seems to be fading away) that our characters are 2nd-stringers to the game's Iconic Heroes. That they will always be more powerful or more skilled than we are and we can never catch up. This idea is a big step back in that direction, and I will never support it or anything like it.
  5. I thought bidding was supposed to go til friday at 8 PM EST?
  6. /unsigned.

I'm about as anti-PvP as one can be, but even I don't feel a need for this.

First off, badges, shivans, nukes, and heavies are not needed. At all. Period. You can play the entire game without ever going into a PvP zone if you don't want to.

Secondly, I do go into the PvP zones occasionally to pick up shivans and nukes, and you know what? I have never, not once, been attacked by a PvPer while doing so.
  7. I've never had to contact GMs over too many problems in-game (mostly the uncommon bug where you complete a mission, but it doesn't actually complete and you have to re-do it). The few times that I have, the wait has been long enough that I had dealt with the problem myself (generally by re-running the mission) before they showed up.
  8. I'd rather see them fix the power pools that already exist rather than make new ones.
  9. Could we get some more information?

    What level is it?
    What server is it on?
Is it a crafted IO or just the recipe?

We got nothing. Praetoria has been part of the game's storyline for a long time now. We simply got it fleshed out.

On the topic of the OP, I've been wondering this myself a lot. It often annoys me how long it takes between the devs announcing/hinting at something and when it actually happens. This is pretty bad even for them though.

    Rate my eeeebil

    1. Buying and destroying all of the Nevermelting Ice listed for less than 50,000 inf every night before bed. (here you're being a dog in the manger, you are depriving others of something that you aren't even using yourself, just to be mean. Extremely Ebil!)

2 (Tie). Buying LotGs for 50-60 million, flipping them for 100 million. (here, you are profiteering. However, it's not as evil as what you're doing with nevermelting ice, since at least you are benefiting from it, still pretty Ebil!)

2 (Tie). Placing a bunch of lowball bids on a recipe I'm flipping to soak up all the cheap incoming supply and encourage players to pay my premium. (this is no more or less Ebil! than what you're doing above)

    4. Buying assorted Large inspirations for 10k and combining them to make Large Defense inspirations which I sell for 500k. (this is providing a service at a markup. The fact that it's a completely useless service that costs you nothing makes it moderately Ebil!)

    5. Buying Positron's Blast dam/end recipes for 100k, selling the crafted enhancements for 10 million. (this is providing a modestly useful service at a markup. This makes it slightly less Ebil! than the combining inspirations)

6 (tie). Overpaying for junk salvage because I'm too impatient for bid creeping. (this is not Ebil! in the slightest, just impatient)

6 (tie). Finding a bunch of crafted Armageddons and Gravitic Anchors stored in a long disused base, selling them for enough to get a broke character to the inf cap. (this depends on the circumstances. If the enhancements were yours to begin with, it's not Ebil! at all, just forgetful. If they belonged to someone else and you stole them, it's still not Ebil!, it just makes you a colossal ******).

    FORCED Rename?

If it happens again, just try CTRL+ALT+DEL to close the game manually, or pull your ethernet cable so you mapserve. That should allow you to close the game without renaming.

I can answer this question with an unequivocal yes. My fire/sr scrapper had no problems with it whatsoever set at +4/x1. Likewise, my fire/kin controller had no issues at +0/x8 in the same mish. I would imagine that any well-built, well-played AT could handle the mission just as easily (though perhaps at a lower difficulty)
  14. I noticed the other day that it's possible to bypass the rooting animation on some powers. I have a fire-kin with superspeed and hot feet. I regularly turn my toggles on when running and get annoyed that turning hot feet on freezes you in place for a couple seconds. I realized the other day that there's a way around it. Hot feet can only be activated when you're standing on the ground, but I figured out if you time it just right and jump just after activating it, the power will still activate, but you won't get rooted and you can keep moving. I would assume it works with other powers that are marked as 'ground only'.
  15. I wouldn't really change all that much to be honest.

    1. Increase the drop rate on purples and rares slightly.

    2. Up the inf cap.

    3. As others suggested, make merit-generating content that gives over 20 merits give 20 less plus one random roll.

    4. Make some changes to how many merits certain things give out (cough, eden trial, cough cough)

    5. Add in some kind of inf sink to keep inflation in check better.

As you can see, most of my changes would be minor tweaks, rather than complete overhauls of the system.

Not to be rude or anything, but this is bad advice. It would be best to try and fit all 3 single-target attacks into the build, but if you can only pick two of them, it should be aimed shot and Blazing Arrow.

Snap shot does have better DPA than Aimed shot does, but that's not so important for a farming build. For the most part, you'll only be using your ST attacks to pick off stragglers that your AoEs didn't kill the first time around. For that, burst damage is much more important than steady DPS. Blazing Arrow and Aimed Shot offer the best ST burst damage in the set. Plus, blazing arrow also deals non-lethal damage, which will be important later in the game, when so very many things resist lethal damage.

No, that wouldn't bother me either. In fact, it would actually be preferable, since fire damage is less heavily resisted than lethal.

Another option here would be to simply switch the lethal damage in the sword attacks to smashing damage if they gave a non-sword option for all of the attacks in fiery melee. Since the two are resisted about equally in the game, I don't think it would really make much of a difference to the set, and it would keep the damage thematically appropriate, since that might matter to some people.
  18. I'd actually like to see them do a set of fire melee animations that use only the swords, and another set that doesn't use the swords at all. Sometimes I like the swords, and other times I don't.

The fact that I wasn't using a sword but still did a combo of fire/lethal damage wouldn't bother me at all.
  19. More recharge. Farming with archery is all about getting RoA up as often as you possibly can.
  20. It kind of depends on your playstyle, but one thing to beware of is redraw. I tried a DP/Mental blaster, and the redraw made me quit playing it about level 30. DP attacks have long animations anyway, and adding the (long) redraw animation to that is just infuriating. So I would suggest you try and pick a set that you won't be alternating powers from your secondary and your primary very often.

That makes energy a good choice, and probably devices as well.
  21. Well, the problem is that true nukes are not enough better than than the new mini-nukes they've created to make them worth the long recharge and crash. Sure, I can kill everything but the bosses in a 8-man-sized group of +1 or +2s with Aim+BU+inferno, but I can do the same thing with Aim+BU+RoA+Explosive Arrow+Fistfull of Arrows. The difference is that the latter doesn't leave me with no endurance and can be used every other group or so, rather than every 3-5 minutes. I think the real solution here is not to turn true nukes into mini-nukes, but instead to buff them to the point where they are worth the complete end crash and extremely long recharge times. That way, they still feel like different things.

I'd love to see true nukes buffed to the point where a blaster nuke slotted with 3 damage SOs (i.e. no aim or buildup or fiery embrace or any other damage buffs) could take out an entire 8-man-sized even-con group of minions, lieutenants, and bosses by itself (well, assuming you hit them all). That means with aim and buildup, you'd be taking out full groups of +3s, and killing everything but bosses in groups of +4s. That kind of power would definitely be worth the long recharge and major end crash.
  22. I can think of no good reason not to allow this, so /signed

While this may be a bit much, being excessive good without any work/practice/skill or just of of the box seems to be important to a lot of people. Of course, as you will see, this is a power that you do not ever have to click, so it allows others to continue on as they see fit. Hey, its your money you spend every month, so you should have a choice now. Hear this out...

Need a new tier 1 power for all players. Basically it allows you to be unkillable and do 1000000% damage. Click the toggle once and it stays activated until you delete the character. It allows you to become lvl 51 automatically, and grants you 200 purple/pvp IO recipes, plus 2 billion inf that recharges every 2 min. You also have the ability to wave you hand and watch all the enemies in a zone drop dead, even if one of the enemies is hamidon. During pvp, you remain phased and have a 100000 hp increase with 100000 regen. You can still wave your hand and eliminate all other players in pvp, even if they are still zoning in or even if they think they may zone in within a few days. Also, any players you kill in pvp die in real life as well if they have not activated there tier 1 by this time. The devs will design special farms for you where every underling drops a purple recipe, in case you wanted to sell them on the market, which has now been named after you as you basically own it. You no longer sell salvage here, but you do sell the souls of other players. Emporor Cole, Lord Recluse and Statesman fight as your pets now. Sister Psyche, Mother Mayhem and Ghost Widow are now your women. If you are a female player, you have an option to change them out to male NPC's or simply remake them male as you see fit or you can keep them female (that's hot!!!). Ritki drop ships can turn into smoke with a wave of your pinkie. GM's fight for you in the arena now. EB's turn into ritki monkey gas if you look at them. You can click your heels and go to any area in any zone. The ritki mothership fixed their engines and took off to get the hell out of here. Shadow cyst crystals explode in fear when you log in. All statues in all zones look like you now (not your character, but actually you). Ms Liberty finally took off her clothes in Atlas and stands there naked in honor of you. All zones are named after you. The morality system is basically been changed into those that worship you and those who no longer exist. All MM pets look like you, unless you make a MM, where they look like bikini girls (or cabana boys if that is your thing). When you play the game, you no longer have to use the controls. You can lead raids into WoW now and kill all just like CoX.

I hope this suggestion addresses all of the requested fixes in the game and best yet, it is with one simple toggle which is a really swell thing and all, because we don't really want to have to click all those buttons and stuff. I also know that dying once and awhile is totally a drag and all. Missing and not one shotting totally is unfair as well and it makes our lives really hard and stuff. It is hard to farm, or pvp sometimes, so I really think it is fair to buff my abilities. Stupid practice and skill could never be an answer to this, so lets just get that idea out of our heads.

So devs, I humbly request that you will take this request seriously to address all of the other requests out there with one simple fix. I would call this the doomsday patch personally, but up to you all as you know best until you give us the tier one power, then we know best. I know that I really did not address bases here or recharge red or interrupt time, but I figured that would be asking for too much. <wink wink> and we can come back to those requests in a future patch if needed.
I believe I'm detecting trace amounts of sarcasm here.

Congratulations, you won the game. You're awesome, the bomb, etc. Let's face it, there's nothing wrong with making the game slightly easier. It's already a hundred percent easier than most MMOs out there. This will make it one hundred and one, instead.

Now. If you'll excuse me, I have to go solo an MoLRSF on my petless MM to show just how much more awesomer I am than joo.
Well, like someone quoted on here, there are people who would complain if NCsoft paid you to play the game. Some people just aren't happy unless they're whining about something.
