I prefer TFs. Multiple missions offer variety and mental breaks between mission.
That said, I feel that the new Incarnate TFs are too short. Just as I get warmed up and into the groove, it's over. -

The Gears in that Box of Parts mission kicked my first Controller's ***. I could bearly kill one or two Gears before I had to bolt with an empty endurance bar and health in the blinking red. Eventually, the continuous spawns created such a mass of them that I couldn't even approach them without taking heavy damage on only bearly backing off. I actually had to ask my brother to bring in a high level character to help me clear it. I didn't know how to build a Controller for damage at the time, and it was pre-Containment and pre-Vet attacks powers too.

I have pondered this many times over the years. I can only conclude that since it is being done by people with lots of Inf, that it is most likely another marketeer or farmer.
I seldom buy crafted IOs from the Market. The only exceptions are when I know that they run cheap or that I feel like gambling by placing a really low bid and can afford to wait months. -
You can google "mmo dealth penalties" to start your research.

If you feel the need for another ranged "taunt" and can wait until the Epic power pools, you can pick up Fireball.

On a side note, I really expecting to hear this one from one of my friends (non-COH player) someday. Last year his mother got 2 long haired kittens. They were about full sized when I saw them on a visit. It blew my mind when I saw them jump up the kitchen counters and saunter across the stove. He said they do that all the time, even with the burners on!

When you log in, there's a bunch of green system chat. One of the lines is a reminder of your global name. Highlight and do a copy (ctrl-c) and then paste it (ctrl-v) on to your email, so you can eliminate any possibility of typos.

After the COH website designer finishes a draft of the splash page for the new game's site, he'll accidentally blast it out to the entire NCSoft subscribers mailing list instead of just to War Witch for her critique.

I found an IGN article about the COV launch. They have a link to a small photo gallery in the article.
I also found a Cryptic video about the event. -
Yeah, I just skimmed your OP before I went to search the COH site's news archives. I didn't even register your youtube link until after I posted my reply. Too much tunnel vision.
Anyway, the players (well, more like the forumites) were making fun of Synapse because he's a blaster and the video confirmed the blaster stereotype by having him being defeated first.
The forum software was changed a few years ago. A lot of the old stuff didn't get transfered to the new forums. -

" I liked the original launch video from City of Villains[ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_bpYYzJwCA ]
It had a good fight scene and of course Synapse being tossed around (because it became something the players laughed about...)
2.Was there a thread about Synapse getting thrown around? I tried to search for it but I can only go back a few year. I really wish I could get the audio scripts and voice actor names for these videos. These are so fun!
Edit:
Of course, this is the better version! -
I've never used the team mate numbers, but then again, I don't use binds.
What I do use is in Options, I set the "Show Player Health Bars = Always". This way, I can keep a more 'heads up' view of what's going on instead of being totally focused on the Team window. Of course, if the damage is coming in heavy, I may switch to monitoring the Team window and play wack-a-mole until things ease up. But generally, I like to keep an overview of how the fights are going and use what controls I have to help manage the aggro or enemy repositioning. It's also easier to watch over other players not on my team. -
I can't speak French, but I can guess by the subject.
I made a character at a different server to check it out some time ago. For some reason, this new server has massive lag, so I wasn't too enthused about playing it. I shelved the character, but decided to let it do some marketing to while away its time before I decide whether to stay. Well, I've made the decision to delete the character last week, but I can't email out the 200 Million it's made over the past several months because it was only level 6. Now I'm stuck having to slog through the lag. -
I'm "A Momentary Presence" on Defiant.

If someone is advertising their recruitment on a channel, I'll respond on the channel. I'm not going to send a tell unless significant time has past and I'm not sure if the recruiting has concluded. Responding to the channel gives a better impression to the player base that the game is still dynamic with active teaming activity going on. Remember, there are a lot of returnees checking the game out. Why promote a negative perception of being ignored or that the game is on the decline because one can't get on a team?

They just silence each other. It's like a game of tag there.

On a related anecdote, one of the guys at work once bought a knockoff watch which went with the brand name of "A Seiko".

These are really great. I particularly like the Fliege and Dark Eye pieces.

I have a character named Suddenly Tammy, but the name is a more situational fit into the game's dialogs.

What about that guy who said in a thread about Super Sidekicking a while back that he was going to try to level to 50 via Sewer teams only? How did that go?
