3 recharge IOs or SOs in both Hasten and Rage, with Hasten on auto. Unless you have a click mez protect, then that should be on auto. Before set bonuses, this is one of the easiest ways. After starting to get set bonuses, Hasten becomes player choice if you get any type of recharge bonus.

Have you tried /sync?

Quote:(d) VEATs get a free respec upon leveling to 24 to be used immediately,You can also get them (a) by buying/getting a drop of a Respec recipe, (b) getting some veteran respecs, or (c) the devs will *likely* give respecs out at issue 21's release.
(e) doing Patron arc (red-side) after lvl 40, earns a respec upon completing first story arc. -
Quote:I have done that as well.I used to have COH screen shots as my desktop wallpaper. I found that I instinctively kept trying to change the view every time I sat down in front o f the PC
.... when you decline an offer to do something after work and give the excuse that you already made plans to meet with friends-- to do a task force.
.... when real life friends think the reason you didn't show up last night to socialize was because you were playing CoH but you really were doing something else entirely. And then even though you got done whatever else you were doing early enough to go socialize, you got in game anyways.
.... when its been months since you saw real life friends in person but you just teamed with them. -

Quote:Actually, go find your original boxed copy. Go ahead, I'll wait.
1) I literally did pay for all base 10 archetypes, including masterminds and controllers, because I bought the first boxes that included them.
If they are going to let us keep what we have purchased then they shouldn't be taking those archetypes away from me and those others who bought the boxes.
Now do what I just did, and look thru all the paperwork in that box. All of it. No where does it say that you had bought anything (especially the right to play the 10 original ATs) but the box and what was physically inside it. A cd, maybe artwork, a game manual, a toy or 2 or 5 maybe. What was included along with what was physically in that box was a one month subscription fee valued at $14.99 or less and possibly the privilege (as long as you stay subscribed) to some ingame goodies- badges, temp power for all characters, costumes.
Now you get to the log-in screen and the EULA.You have to accept the EULA before they allow you to play. And after legalize and mumbo-jumbo big words, it basically says: This is our game/ intellectual property. You rent the privilege to access our servers. We determine what you have access to. Anything you do in game also becomes part of our property. You do not own anything in regards to our property. We can allow you access to the servers at our convenience/ pleasure. We can remove your privilege to access our servers as we please. We can change anything we like at any time. Your only official recourse is to stop paying your subscription.
In short follow-up, the game has evolved. The industry has evolved. The Devs are taking the game in a new direction. The Devs are changing what they determine to be your privileges/ rewards in their property. Your subscription has only paid for the privilege to access the servers. -

Actually, there is a problem with all the pics you posted. But the problem lies not with the game nor the art but your video card. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, your video card does not work well with the game in certain instances, like multiple, flashy, mass AOE powers and some maps accerberate the problem. I had the same issue, no matter what drivers or settings I tried, my video card just 'wigged out' at times. The biggest culprit being Electric Control. I thought my Nvidia card with 2 gigs of RAM could just slug thru with all the new shinies, but, alas, not to be. So I broke down and got a new video card with my income tax refund.
Sorry you have had same issue as me, best wishes for you to get it fixed without buying a new video card, but I think you don't have much of a chance. -
OMG OMG! Finally figured out file sharing in Win7! Patched Beta on old comp for no reason yesterday as I didn't know; 3 hrs to install on new computer? Turn on file sharing--> copying now--> Yahtze!!

Quote:This exactly; oh how I agree!I dislike Keyes because it represents far too many objectives performed under constant, extreme, hostile environmental conditions.
Well, that and it takes ten full minutes to explain what to do, to those who are unfamiliar. With BAF and Lambda, a person can pretty much follow along. Not so much Keyes.
Anyway, if the death pulse hit for around 25% damage instead of about 50%, and it weren't necessary to collect THIRTY freaking temps, three per console, for numerous consoles, all the way up the three towers, while people are being scattered by the death pulse, where maybe half of them even understand the temp powers usage constraints, I'd be fine with the rest. That combination of vast number of objectives and constant wide-area mega-damage kills my interest.
BAF is very straightforward. Lambda mostly so. Keyes simply tried to combine TOO MANY different elements and hazard conditions in a single trial. While I appreciate a challenge for incarnated characters, Keyes is simply tedious. -
Quote:It's a normal human reaction - the vast majority of people like to see the good side win, and the evil side lose - heroes are winners, and villains are losers.
Actually the heroes are almost always cast as the underdogs- usually less of them and more obstacles in their way and more difficulties to overcome. And human reaction is to route for the one(s) with the hardest journey/ path to overcome. Ala sport team underdogs who were never expected to be able to compete but thru hard work and good luck, made it to the finals. Even those people who like the favorites find it hard to not at least route in their hearts for the underdog team.
(Actually I started to type a whole spiel about that Galaxy far far away but got too off tangent but cannot stop myself from saying something anyways as it parallels Praetoria. Vader is on the side of legal, lawful government, so hero normally right? Luke and the Rebellion are against the moral corruption in the legal, lawful government. So, Vader isnt evil or a villain but flawed as he cannot see the corruption. While Luke should be viewed as a villain, he actually is a 'folk hero.') -
Quote:Just an FYI, I believe the CoH: Collector's Ed and CoV: Colector's Ed lock each other out. In other words, you can only add 1 Collector's version to your account. I once tried to add a CoV Collector's to my account but since I had already used a CoH version, I got the cannot apply same type code error, as I remember it. So I passed the code on but kept the goodies in the box. Before you do that, if it's not too late, you might check this out. There are cheaper ways to pay for CoH than even subscribing yearly.

I currently have 45 lvl 50's between 2 accounts with 3 toons in the 40's. I have only worked on Incarnate on toons on 3 servers though. And on only 1 server do I not have a 50.

Occasionally, while hovering/ flying at ground level on a ramp, the game will think you are on the ground and allow you to use Burn.

[QUOTE=Forbin_Project;3769659 numerous SG's that were dedicated prestige farms ... Quite often those SG's had high turnover rates as new members quit in disgust or were booted because they didn't earn the amount of prestige the SG demanded[/QUOTE]
OK Story time then my personal opinion.
Unfortunately I encountered the above situation early in my playing time. While RL friends introduced me to the game, I didn't really play with them all that often nor did I join their SG. Instead, I joined the SG of the people I frequently played with. After getting my first 50, I decided to try another AT and let the 50 sit for a few days/ weeks. Well, I got a /tell from the SG Leader that I needed to get on my 50 and earn some prestige since they helped me get to 50 and to show support for the SG. I logged on that 50, quit the SG immediately and joined my RL friends' SG and could not have been happier since. Although I did get some rude tells from that other SG Leader for a while.
I met quite a few nice people besides my RL friends in their SG. Now people have come and gone as Real Life dictates but a few core players have still been around. The then, and still current SG Leader, when I first joined, emphasized earning prestige but only kicked members as the SG got full and others wanted to get alts in and only based it on last time logged in, not actual amount of prestige earned. (Only exception to the time logged in rule is the actual founding members' original alts.) Quite a few times, I had my alts quit the SG to make room for other people's new alts, never caring how much prestige tally was 'lost' for that toon. Then for a time the SG Leader was pushing to go up the ranking on the TOP 100 list. We never have been much of a farming group, but there was good natured competition between the SGs both above and below us in the list and quite frequently we were coalitioned with them. Now though, we don't really care any more and the fact that we are still climbing the list is due to the lack of activity of the SGs above us.
Now back to the topic(s):
* I really could care less one way or the other if prestige tally is 'saved' if an alt gets kicked or accidentally quit from a SG. If it doesn't take much resources, go for it. If doing this takes away from other new features, forget it.
* SG Prestige totals and Top 100 SG List-- yeah this needs to be updated and redone somehow. See next item...
* Hindsight is always 20/20. IMO The biggest mistake was allowing the conversion of inf to prestige to count as earned prestige. It would have been far better to have it just be a one time boost to the SG total not tied to anyone and not shown as earned in the Top 100 list.
* Prestige total per alt in the SG window- This I actually like, even if it allows for snobbish and elistist whiners. But this is just my personal opinion.
* I would have liked to have seen prestige earned (not bought) as badges from the beginning. Hard to implement now, but as I look back, this would have made sense for the alts that migrate from SG to SG. So there wouldn't be a big number in the SG window, but badges would still tell the tale. -

... When reading texts, social sites, other forums, important work documents, you stare at said stuff wondering what the person meant by refering to CoH terminology.
... When you tell someone not to use an acronym or word short because it confuses their meaning because you use it in CoH. -
Who told you that? Shield/ SS is a great combo! It's too late for me now or else I would throw a build together. But anyhoot, to get a build into Mids with just the data chunk, highlight the entire thing and mouse-click Copy. Then in Mids, choose Import.

Quote:I believe that the CoH: Collector's Ed and CoV: collector's Ed now lock each other out as well. The above is no longer true; some boxes now lock out other boxes. The specific case I'm sure of is that the original CoH edition, and the Good vs. Evil edition, *cannot* currently be applied to the same account; whichever is used first will lock out the other one. (I tried this both ways around while getting some friends set up less than a month ago.)

Quote:Every single Shield tank or Scrapper I have ever made has been Science Origin and now with emailing enhancements, every Brute will be Science origin. In fact, every single melee toon that has a click status protect power will be of Science Origin and will have perma status protect the next level after it becomes available. How? Why? Yin SO's-- science origin gets recharge SO's. All you need is just one toon that has that badge and you can email yourself all the Yin So's you need. So, unless your toon's concept isnt flexilbe enough to have a Science origin, this issue about perma click status protect is only about your personal choice.I'm also a little concerned about SR tankers not actually having permanent status protection before SOs come around. Shield Tankers have a similar problem, but Shield Tankers have arguably better passive protection: they get to keep phalanx and true grit.
(Forgive me if this came off as an attack or harsh, I should have been in bed already.) -
Does it happen after using a power not from Empathy set, like an attack or pool power or Epic/ PPP power? I am thinking that if you are in pure Emp buff.heal mode then there is no reason but if you are mixing powers, then the game might have conflicting code that might make you be rooted.
-
The game may have forgotten you can create the Epic ATs. Simply logging in a toon that is above the requirement is proof enough to tell the game you can create. Oh, and you must log on a hero and a villain high enough to be able to create each sides Epics.
If you continue to have the bug about not making villains or the epic Ats, open up a bug report and follow up with the email they send you. Make sure your email address is current. -
Only time I used to have this issue was on my older video cards with some dark powers and Electric Control. Anytime say a Dark Armor toon or a fluffy would be on screen, my frame rates would dramatically drop. Anytime I teamed with or played Electric Control and AOEs from that powerset were thrown around, my screen would fill with really bad graphic animations and I swear I had single digit framerates.
Then I upgraded to a new computer and better video card and all that went away. My suggestion to you, post your system specs in the technical forums and ask there for help. Also in the meantime, make sure you have the latest drivers that currently work with the game. Newest isnt always the best. Stick with the latest drivers that are confirmed to work properly with the game and beware updating unless absolutely needed. -
Just a few clarifications: I was talking a hypothetical situation not meaning to say that I would be the example- could just have easily been a brand new paying VIP that reverted to Premium after paying for one month. Also, my forum date does not coincide with my vet rewards. All my forum date means is when I got my first level 50; my vet rewards is greater than my forum date.
The quote from Posi suggests that Terra is correct as long as said player has not bought enough character unlock slots and used them all to fill up entire 36 slots on one server. Because then, there is no available empty slots to pick on said server. So, that is what it looks like right now and is still subject to change. Thank-you all for reponses.
