Nothing cancels out the small endurance crash or the damage crash at the end.

Stacking merely means you activate the power a second (or with enough recharge, a third) time before the expiration of the first instance of the power.

If you don't want to have to worry about it, you can set it to auto-fire (Hold down the CTRL key and click the power). Now you can only auto-fire one power. So if you're also rocking something like Hasten, you have to make a choice.

The third application doesn't actually do anything, no matter what the icon says. Rage will only stack once with itself for a maximum of two applications.

Oh good grief.

If you pop open your manage window to look at your sets, there are "Show Detailed Info Here" buttons above all three columns. Click on one, hover over Rage.

We find it gives buffs for 2 minutes, and recharges in 4 minutes.

In seconds, it's up for 120, recharge in 240.

One even SO is 33 percent recharge, so the 240 second recharge is divided by 1.333.

240/1.333 = 180. So one even SO cuts the recharge from 4 minutes to 3 minutes.
240/1.666 = 144. Two even SO's cuts it to 2 minutes, 24 seconds.
240/1.950 = 123. Three even SO's leaves you 3-ish seconds from overlap, due to ED penalties.

So, you need to eke out a few moar percents. L53 SO's should do it with three of them.

But that's dumb.

I recommend 2 level 50 IO recharges and the Spiritual alpha. That'll give you right around 120 percent recharge.

240/2.200 = 109 seconds. Voila! Ten seconds of overlap, you never suffer the -20 percent defense. You WILL suffer the damage crash and the hefty endurance hit.

I have 2 standard IO recharge, and 2 RR in my rage and without spiritual i still have perma rage. YOU DO NOT i repeat DO NOT need spiritual just to get perma rage.

1: Grab yourself a copy of Mids.
2: Build up an SS character and toss 3 standard recharge IOs into it.
3: Look at the info tab for the power (showing recharge, end consumption, activation times). If the recharge time is less than the duration, you can stack.

Base duration of Rage is 120 seconds.
Base recharge of Rage is 240 seconds.

To stack Rage, you need to get the recharge of rage down to 120 seconds or less. To stack Rage USEFULLY, you want to get recharge as low as feasible.

With 3 level 50 Recharge IOs, Rage recharges in just over 120 seconds. So no, just 3 L50 Recharge IOs alone isn't enough.

Now. If you tack on Hasten, in addition to 3 Recharge IOs, the recharge of Rage drops to just over 89 seconds while Hasten is up.

No, that's recommending.

3 recharge IOs or SOs in both Hasten and Rage, with Hasten on auto. Unless you have a click mez protect, then that should be on auto. Before set bonuses, this is one of the easiest ways. After starting to get set bonuses, Hasten becomes player choice if you get any type of recharge bonus.
